Today I came across something interesting in Hurriyet. My favorite Turkish writer praised the police for finding and arresting all the troublemakers that tweeted, but said they weren't so lucky in finding the thugs in plain clothes (the police?), who were sneaking in at night and beating people with sticks with nails. I guess the Turkish authorities feel if something worked once, then why not keep doing it. I know that in 1923 when the Turkish army set fire to the Armenian section to cover up the killings, and then the rest of the city except for the Turkish and Jewish sections, the Greeks were all massed onto the docks to escape. The Turkish army would then wait until it was dark so they couldn't be seen by the foreign ships, and then start killing and raping.

Well I guess this is the Ottoman enlightenment Erdogan was talking about. :wall:

I made a thread and posted this testimony, but it seems no one gives a hoot...or they want to cover it up because Erdogan is an Islamist extremist.. What I found funny is that in Al Jazeera they said that the government should investigate the police brutality. Hey dopes, who do you think is behind the brutality if not the government?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Letter Shocker sent to cnn a Turkish citizen Ercan Giolalan, which refers to wild torture by Turkish police during the arrest, while also criticizes an attempted strangulation (of a) girl by police.

The entire letter (by) Ercan Giolalan:

"First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who cared for me, trying to find me a lawyer, helping in any way, but those just worried about me. I have returned to my home and I'm good. I want to write about what I've gone through, so that everyone knows what one experiences "detained" in today's Turkey.

I want to make clear that I have no other purpose. I will write the events from the beginning, with all the curses and insults I have suffered. Nothing has been barred.

Was arrested on June 3, 2013, at 21:00 in the evening, near the traffic lights Barboros avenue in Besiktas. I swear that I did not throw a single stone. The police arrested the moment he saw five, six uniformed approached me and they turned my hand so hard that I thought would break. The arrest played me on TV, I say "terrorist". My hell had begun.

Drove coastal and once moved away from the traffic and the world did not see anymore, the police began to punch all over my body. Every cop I met kicked me, slapped me and punched him, throughout the journey to the port. There was no end to this brutality which accompanied by swearwords and insults like "Are you going to save the country?

You the (*)(*)(*)(*), bastards, sons of a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)? ". I was starting to lose my senses, I could not even figure out how many people hit me until we reached the crate. Just before the bus to raise some others asked the police to see me. The policemen handed to them without mercy. Started and those to beat wildly.

I do not remember exactly when, but reunited on the cage, where uniformed police officers continued to beat me. "I have done nothing, sir, nothing," I yelled, but nobody listened. I could not see anything. My eyes were closed from punches. Only heard. Swearing and insults continued.

I heard a female voice. The crate with me was a girl. They tried to see her face, but with great difficulty. They had already hit the girl and now trying to strangle you. "What are you doing on the road, what the (*)(*)(*)(*) are you doing on the road?" They chanted.

And the answer of the girl was daunting. All you (she) could whisper was "Okay, sir." They grabbed me and (by) the neck and forced (me) to shout "I love the Turkish police. I love my country. " Forced us to shout again and again commanding "louder"! When things calmed down somewhat, I even saw a man who was trying to cover his face. He told me how two policemen had broken his nose.

They kept bringing more and more people. Among them was one with the name of the University Mustafa Bahçeşehir. Was attacked twenty policemen amid unrest and could hardly stand up.

He had been hit in the head with a police helmet. His head was bleeding. They forced him to sit on the ground with his hands tied in the back. When I saw that his head was in the blood, I went up to him with a piece of cloth to stop the bleeding.

A police officer called "Suleyman" got angry and yelled, "(*)(*)(*)(*) you, go in your place. Let bleeds. " He did not care at all. We stayed hours in the cage. Did not allow us to go toilet. The girl next to me peed on it. They gave, however, a bottle of water.

Eventually we were taken to the hospital where we looked at and gave us a fake certificate that were supposedly good. When then took us to the police station, we waited an army of lawyers.

Things have changed. Hypocrisy. The officers began to speak to us very politely. "He had done nothing," they said. There is no exaggeration in this text. All events listed are really unique and my goal is to tell the truth. They said that I am a terrorist. Enemy of my country. I'm not a terrorist. I'm just a Turkish citizen. And I love my country. The revolt against oppression continues. This fascist system would collapse. "

It will be salvation for us all if our riots make a success and force AKP to resing and end up complete removal of their parasites from our society later on.

Those two megalomaniacs; Erdogan and Devotoglu should by hung like Mussolini, but it's doubtful that will happen. Erdogan said his patience is wearing thin, so if he considers five thousand wounded, (with who knows how many more who were given a clean bill of health by the doctors) as nothing, one can only imagine what he will do next? If I were the Turkish people, I would really be worried. :steamed:

The only good thing about these protests, is that the Turkish people might now become aware of the brutality the Christians have suffered in the former Ottoman Empire as well as under Attaturk. Do they know that as they are being fed lies about Cyprus, and while they say the Greeks were going to commit genocide that the Turkish army actually did commit genocide...and its all recorded in the U.N.?

Do they know that the original Turkish inhabitants of Cyprus want the Turkish army to leave and feel they have nothing in common with the Turks in the mainland? Do they know that every nation in the world considers the northern part of Cyprus to be occupied, and that only the government in Nicosia is recognized?

Do they know that everyone recognizes Greece's territorial right to the Aegean and Eastern Mediterrean, except Turkey? Do they know that the U.S. didn't declare war with Turkey in WWI because they feared for the lives of the many American teachers, nurses and doctors, and they were witnesses to the atrocities against the Christians? Do they know that everything is documented in our Library of Congress?

Do they know there were many Catholic schools and hospitals as well, and the atrocities are all documented in the Vatican?
