I guess Attaturk felt they betrayed the Turks by siding with the English in WWI. He hated Christians more though, they are the ones he massacred. It was his way of carving out a country for the Turks.

I wonder what's going to happen because the army is not his greatest supporter. He has jailed quite a few generals. If the protestors are angry enough and persistent enough, it might turn into a civil war...I doubt it though.

As Erdogan said recently, his soldiers are very cruel. If there are no holds barred, rebellions can be crushed very easily. Last summer the Kurds took over a few towns in Eastern Turkey and Erdogan cordoned off the area during the fighting. The press was blocked out, and someone said recently Turkey has sarin gas because it was used on the Kurds during the war.

A considerable are still under arrest and there are çArşı leaders amongst them aswell. Although they've cleansed the Gezi Park for now and protests have been increased after that, noticeably you could see the protests even on Bosphorus bridge, the protests seem rather a bit calmed today but they're still going on. By calmed, it seems it rather turned into "standing man protests". Not only there has been media coverage, there have been chemical usage inside tear gas and pressure cannons. There has also been policemen disguised as protesters, throwing molotov cocktails to TOMAs so that media can depict us as violent thugs. Erdogan is total dictator and he stubbornly refuses to understand the protests but rather challenges the protesters and keep provoking us. I'm surprised you support the protests as you have been acted like Erdogan fan up to today so far. You left me speechless

I agree, but he already shown enough brutality, I doubt he can go any far than that. He's a lunatic and traitor, but not an idiot.

Muslim Brotherhood sheikh stated that he supports Erdoğan claimed that protesting Erdoğan is haram, read this article to see what kind of disgusting (*)(*)(*)(*)s support Erdoğan against Turkish protesters. His remarks towards Jews are unquestionably inhumane.

You have no idea how far the Turkish government can go. They're experts in hiding atrocities from the public. As an example, you have this as your signature:

What you wrote is nothing but Turkish propaganda, and I wouldn't believe anything said by the Turkish government...they lie, as you now realize. Cyprus was given to Greece by Attaturk in the Treaty of Lausanne as were the islands in the Aegean and Thrace. This was the same treaty that gave Turkey the territory it now occupies with the city of Constantinople, (Istanbul) and Smyrna, (Ismir). If Turkey is not willing to accept the parts of the Treaty it doesn't like, then it should declare the Treaty null and void and give back all the Anatolian lands they now occupy to the original inhabitants. Turkey can't have it both ways.

When Britain refused to give Cyprus to Greece as stipulated in the Treaty, it was brought to the U.N. Britain wanting to retain the island because of its strategic location, began to arouse the Turks which at the time were only seventeen percent of the population. After the invasion by the Turkish army, with its murders and ethnic cleansing of one third of the island, the Turkish government brought Turks from the mainland to occupy the Greek homes in order to increase their population in Cyprus.

These are the facts as they are written up in the archives of the U.N. Check them out if you want.

Why do you always go offtopic and quote my signature in everytime? This has nothing to do with it. I already responded that in some other thread where you quoted my signature again and I'm not going to bother with replying same damn thing.
