No doubt. But you should also be responsible to avoid getting in fights unnecessarily, right?

    - - - Updated - - -

If fact, it is surprisingly close to what happened in this case. If Zimmerman had not violated the NW watch rules and gone after Martin against the admonishment of the police dispatcher, no one would have been unnecessarily killed.

    LOL

Had Martin gone home instead of turning around, hiding, and then assaulting Zimmerman, no one would have been unnecessarily killed.

You don't know he turned around and hid or that attacked Zimmerman. Why do you assume facts against Martin you don't know?

Fair enough. So this guy is white too then, correct?

Just another generic white president? Nothing different about him from all the others? After all, he and George Zimmerman are both 50% genetically white. They are equally caucasian. To insist that they are different is to play favorites. You do realize that, of course.

It is rather difficult to retraet when you are flat on your back betting beaten.

Indeed I do based on testimony and evidence, thank you. I didn't assume anything, I drew a conclusion based on the known facts and evidence in the case. The fact that you are unable to, and completely misrepresent what happened that night is on you, so spare me the you can't know for sures, and the whole bleeding heart bit, its old, its tiresome. Here's a clue....straight from Trayvon's girlfriend who testified that Trayvon told her that "now the N***A is following him"....so please spare me, Trayvon Martin went back and escalated the situation that resulted in his death, Tragic as it is, I put the responsibility where it belongs and that is on Trayvon Martin.

Thanks, but your "conclusions" are simply opinion and not fact. You don't know what happened back there and neither does anyone else. Why are you assuming facts you don't know against Martin?

But we do know that Martin, in violation of the NW rules and against the admonishment of the police, went after Martin with a deadly weapon, and thereby unnecessarily created a situation were a conflict or violence was more likely, and where a kid ended up unnecessarily dead.

Its so easy when you keep leaving inconvenient evidence left out to draw that conclusion, so answer me this, are you unable to accept that we know, based on undisputed evidence and testimony that Trayvon doubled back and assaulted George Zimmerman, or are you a liar? I quote your saint Trayvon "NOW THE N***A IS FOLLOWING HIM". And please spare me the NW rules, if you want to get technical, Zimmerman wasn't patroling the neighborhood as you would like to claim, he was on his way to Target, and came across a young man acting suspicious....so again either you are blatantly dishonest, or you are ignoring known facts to twist a scenario in favor of your stance. Either one is dishonest in my opinion.

Fact, there is no proof, witness(s) or evidence that Martin doubled back. Stating otherwise, is factually dishonest.

What evidence is there he did that? Only Zimmerman's only self-serving claims. You don't know what happened and neither does anyone else.

No, that is what his girlfriend testified he said. Which shows what? That Zimmerman was going after him. It in no way proves or even suggests that Martin hid or doubled back.

He was the NW captain and was watching the neighborhood. A NW watch doesn't have to be "on duty" but you report suspicious behavior whenever you see it. And do not get physically involved.

But I agree the NW violation isn't the key point. The key point is that Zimmerman unnecessarily went after Martin armed with a deadly weapon and thereby unnecessarily created a situation were violence was more likely.

Earlier I wrote, "If you are going to carry a gun you should be responsible to make reasonably sure to use it before losing consciousness while being beaten to death by an attacker."

Of course. And that is what happened. No fight was necessary until T. Martin knocked Zimmerman to the ground, got on top of him and began bashing Zimmerman's head into the concrete.

When Zimmerman went after Martin he unnecessarily created a situation where conflict and violence were more likely.

Nor does it matter. One is innocent unless proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. It is enough to know that Martin knocked Zimmerman down, got on top of him and stuck Zimmerman's head into the concrete.

One man defended himself. The other died. It happens.

Nonsense. I can only hope this happens to you. Tell us whether or not you choose to save your life or die.

We need not cower in our neighborhoods. It is okay to follow a suspicious person. And if he knocks you down, gets on top of you and begins striking your head into the concrete it will be okay for you to die if you choose to. Or defend yourself if you must.

I think we get it. You cannot accept our justice system.

Nope. One is deemed innocent by the law (except you're thrown in jail unless freed on bond). That doesn't make one innocent at all.

One man went after another armed with a deadly weapon and unnecessarily killed him. It happens. But when someone does that they should be responsible for what they do.

I don't go unnecessarily confronting people in my neighborhood. It's a good way to get into a fight unnecessarily.

Nope. We don't want cop wannabe armed with a gun going after people when they are not in uniform and don't have training. It's a good way for people to get unnecessarily killed.

You don't get it at all. I accept the justice system. It is the bad SYG law that lets people get off when they unnecessarily kill others that I do not accept.

Well, the reality is they can like it or lump it. George is a free man and the Pres is giving lip service while the SYG laws are here to stay.

Take another look at those two men. One has white skin, the other has black skin. It's fair to call the man with black skin "black," it's fair to call the man with white skin "white." It's fair to look at Halle Berry and call her both, neither, or just damn sexy.

Black and white are physical descriptions. There is no such thing as "genetically white." No one this side of a KKK rally believes or cares about what number you come up with as to "how white" someone is. But if you want to claim some kind of kinship to possibly the worst president who has ever sat in the white house, I won't stand in your way.

Our legal system invites citizens to speak up and challenge laws that they find unjust. In fact, it's how this whole country got started.

Actually the people in that neighborhood did want Zimmerman to do what he was doing. Trevon just didn't understand that Zimmerman was neighborhood watch and, all Zimmerman was doing was what the name denotes - watching.

So, in your book people who are neighborhood watch are not allowed to ....... watch?

Watch yes, report yes, confront no. Shoot people... definitely not in the job description.

Exactly what he was doing until Trevon took offense to him watching AND CONFRONTED GEORGE. Then George shot him in self defense as the court ruled.

George's job ended when he called the police. The fact that a fight occurred and ended with someones death demonstrates George was not able to handle the situation he put himself into and should have left it to folks who had the training and resources to explore the situation without loss of life.
