Wait one darn minute. What's this "first time" crap?

I've been told by Obama and his sycophantic minions that it’s the Republicans who are stubborn and don't want to negotiate, yet ABC news is confirming that Obama is now considering negotiating with congress on the shutdown for the "first time." FIRST TIME! Do you hear that loony left-wing nuts? FOR THE FIRST TIME!

So, it looks like Obama and Harry Reid were the holdouts, not Republicans.

Obama should not be meeting with anyone. Any discussions about Obamacare are off the table. Pass the funding, that's all the Repubs have to know.

so there you have it... ignore the half of the country that disagrees with this abortion of a bill. that's what we have come to expect from american liberalism. for as long as i can remember the socialist arm of american liberalism has been whining about the protection they deserve as the minority party. now that they have power, those protections for the minority are out the window. this is the hypocrisy that has always been just below the surface, now showing itself in all its glory. this is the authoritarian dogma that we are supposed to swallow whole without batting an eye. this is the true stalinesque face of the american left.

The same country that reelected President Obama and kept the Democrats in charge of the Senate? The whole "Obamacare" timeline is an excellent lesson in the old adage that if you repeat a lie enough times, people will believe it's true. The thing is that most polls don't break down what it is about "Obamacare" that people don't like. When you start pointing out the individual features, approval skyrockets.

This is why the right-wing is so avid in pushing its anti-Obamacare propaganda. They know that once people slip past all their lies, they will find a very beneficial program that will make substantial improvement in a lot of peoples' lives.

yes, the country that kept the GOP in charge of the house, the actual "people's" house, and that voted for increase of conservatives at the state houses across the nation. yep that country.

They already negotiated the bill. It is law, it has been approved by the Supreme Court. This is not the time to force negotiations on Obamacare. If they want to repeal it or delay it bring it up in it's own bill. But holding the rest of the country hostage because they know they can't win the battle in a democratic way, they are basically putting a gun to our heads and saying, either do what we want or else.

Obama should not even talk with the Republicans. Tell them to do their job, there is no negotiating about Obamacare, there is absolutely nothing he will concede.

(*)(*)(*)(*) the Repubs. Obama has caved enough.

Despite Dems getting more votes for House seats. Thanks to gerrymandering the minority gets to hold up government.

I agree - no negotiations. Democrats and their supporters can pay for ObamaCare on their own.

Obama already compromised by sending through a bull at sequester levels. Obama should offer his own terms for negotiations...let's see,

Ban all automatic weapons, full background checks and fingerprinting for buying guns, and late allow term abortions.

Let's see if the republicans compromise or if compromise is a one sided issue with them. I can guess the answer :)

How bout that gerrymandering when they did away with election of a senator done by the state legislatures? If we still had that system, the dems would never control the senate.

So yes, the peoples house is still controlled by the people.

    Again:

President Obama was reelected. The Affordable Care Act is his signature legislation.
The Senate Dems picked up two seats in the Senate.
In the House, the Democrats picked up 8 seats and won a plurality nationwide by over 1,800,000 votes.

Republicans at the national level ran against Obamacare and lost.

They are still running against Obamacare and now have added an attempt to destroy the US government to their list.

Winter is coming for the GOP. 2014, if the chatosphere is any indication, is going to be a hard and brutal lesson for the GOP on the subject of desperately overreaching and political obstruction.

And no matter how many polls you guys "unskew," America will eventually fully understand that you don't feed a cancer like the t-party, you do everything you can to make sure it doesn't spread and kill the entire organism.

Lmao! Exactly! It's always the Repubs forcing these ridiculous addons as ransom. I really hope Obama doesn't budge. The Repubs have gotten away with far too much. We can't play their little games any longer.

Hopefully this will force some of the sane Repubs to the front.

The Repubs have one the majority vote once in the last six elections. The majority of Americans do not agree with them. With out the gerrymandering, Repubs would have no chance.

Democrats negotiated amongst themselves and passed it by themselves.

So was Jim Crow, and the SCOTUS, like Congress and Obama, broke the law, i.e., violated the Constitution - to pass it. The law is illegitimate.

Now's a good time to get started.

Why didn't Obama have to bring up a new bill to delay parts of ObamaCare?

Oh, that's right - it's okay with Leftist hypocrites when Obama does it. Oh, the selective, manufactured outrage.

Republicans don't have to bring up a separate bill either, sport.

Quit lying. The CR is a legal, legitimate and proper way to keep socialist idiots from further blowing up the economy.

    Republicans are doing their job.

I'm cool with no negotiations. If Democrats and their supporters want to go it alone, they can pay for it themselves. Problem solved!

Jimmy Carter had congress shutdown the government on him 5 times for a total of 50 days. Both houses of congress were controlled by the democrats.

That's fine. Obviously the country doesn't agree with you and will make it much easier for the Dems to clean house in 2014. As long as Obama does not negotiate with these terrorist Republicans, I'm perfectly content. Their shenanigans need to stop.

Thanks to ObamaCare, Republicans have a majority in the House, and 57% of Americans agree with them in their opposition to ObamaCare. The people want socialist arsonists and terrorists to stop blowing up our economy and robbing them of control over their HC decisions.

    (*)(*)(*)(*) Democrats. :)

Republicans can try all they want to repeal it. But holding the country hostage to do so. That's cowardly. But I don't really expect much decency from Repubs these days. They are lead by clowns from states like Texas, Kentucky, Wyoming, etc. States that generally need more federal funding then they provide.

Without gerrymandering Repubs would have no say in government. Very few people agree with the Tea Party and their extremists policies. Can't wait for 2014.

Obamacare is already funded. It will go on regardless of this shut down. Pay up!
