actually you start of asserting that fanaticism is still my bent…i pointed out that that was something i chose to do in the past…

so it does set the tone for the rest of your post.
The Holy Spirit as a feeling is the latest venture , there is even an helmet and youtube and internet videos to watch .

Jung was into the occult and his entire life was a study of it …you do know that..using him to deny the existence of the Holy spirit is odder than odd..
He gave lectures on archetypal metaphysics and his most famous pieces are on the collective unconscious which he tweaked from the concept of collective Karma.
so now you are just tossing out doctors which you obviously know nothing about and using them to support your atheism…

it's hilarious, thanks for the hilarity…and you now have been pigeon holed as someone who likes to use big names they have not studied to infer your personal nonsense on the subject..it is nonsense once you decide to turn Jung into something so far from what the man was.

the rest of your post needs no rehashing..it's old and mind numbing..been done a million times here…you only originality on the subject is your lack of knowledge of Carl Jung and using him in this way…google Wilhelm Reich.
they never met but were definitely of the same cloth when it came to their approach...

I liked Wilhelm's ideas a lot. I did not know Jung was an occultist and am not an expert on him by any stretch, nor did I claim to be.

Regardless, there are numerous explanations in psychology for supernatural experience.

You did not mention which God you feel this spirit guide of yours is directing you to.

Posting an online book is not exactly what I would call genius but each to their own.

What I am curious about is which God you feel drawn to or if it is just a general belief in God.

i posted the book for you to read the synopsis..and maybe understand a lil bit about Jung..
you used jung like it was going to teach me something…and obviously you only know his name..nothing else ..
now this whole what God stuff..
when people refer to a god or a demi god it's with a small g..when they refer to God with a large G they are referring to the ultimate creator of all things or that which all things come from or originate from.
Is that so hard to grasp…now that you know and this is universally accepted try not to add insulting tones like your above anyone that knows god or believes in God.

so why did you use Jung if you not only know nothing about the man but used him in such a fashion that could only be deemed made up in your mind…..

and i just did answer your question about God..
there is a term Dharma Kaya body in Buddhism…if you study it you would be able to understand what the Holy Spirit is to christianity or me…

if you are serious and not some troll you would do yourself a favour and heed my request.

Badlands Leprechaun.... have you ever read about the tradition of Adam having a first wife named Lilith?

Have you ever heard about the tradition of Michael and Gabriel leading their 2/3 of the angels to bow to Adam and Lucifer/Iblis refusing?

What do you think of the theory of Lucifer/Iblis bowing to Lilith in order to convince her to go off with him?????!!!

Pantheism/Polytheism vs Abrahamic Religions and Lucifer/ Iblis bowing to Adam????!!!

I'm not the type to get into the minutia and trivia, and comparing scriptures and such. I heard something about a Lilith but I don't feel like it would help my faith to incorporate it into my belief system. Nor do I or would I concern myself with Angels leading other angels to bow to Adam.

The reason I wouldn't delve into stuff like that is because my faith tells me that YAH made angels by the word of his mouth, and made them spirit. Now, that was a looooooong time ago, maybe trillions of years. And I'm certain that since angels have been in the presence of YAH for all that time, they could easily trick me or any other human who never spent a second in front of YAH.
Certainly they know how to be holy, or pretend to be holy. But what does holy mean? Maybe that's why Yahushua didn't speak on it.
Yahushua is coming with a sword, and is going to slay the wicked. I believe that!
But , who is he going to kill? The sinners that he redeemed on the cross?
He took away the sins of the world, so I'm assuming it was a perfectly complete work on the cross. The only sin not covered by his work was identified by him. So that has to be the "sin unto death" talked about by John in his epistle. That sin is "BLASPHEMY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT".
Well, who is guilty of that? Yahushua said that in the last days after he ascended, that many false anointed ones and false prophets would arise and deceive many. SEE TO IT THAT YOU ARE NOT DECIEVED. WHY? BECAUSE IT COULD COST YOU YOUR REDEMPTION.

Even tho jesus satans think they can blaspheme the Holy Spirit if jesus gets the glory, I don't think the Holy Spirit needs liars pretending to be anointed by him, and if jesus needs you to mock the Holy Spirit to get him some glory, maybe you need a reality check.

I believe that angels will serve us in heaven because YAH will command it, but I don't see them bowing down to anybody but YAH.

My belief is that Lucifer and Yahushua have known each other since YAH first spoke. And they are the morning stars that sang together. I believe that Yahushua went to the cross to redeem the work of YAH's hands, and I think Lucifer can't stand the idea of evil men entering heaven and being redeemed, and served by him.
I believe that Lucifer was the "cherubim that covers" on the left of YAH, and Yahushua the one on the right. They are/were depicted on the Ark of the Covenant.

    Wow!!!!!!
    .....

I also wonder if the sword of the Spirit that Yeshua/Jesus used to slay the wicked........ is a metaphor for the wicked repenting.... and being spiritually slain.......

You are way over sensitive. These are traits of a fanatic, (which you describe yourself as) lighten up a little - there is a dark side to every claim to power.

My use of Jung as an example was both appropriate and fitting to the discussion, see archetypes.

Your use of ad hom is low level stuff. ( playing the spelling Nazi for example on an internet chat site ... come on, if anything is silly nit picking if not borderline trollish)

Regardless, my question did not relate to "the holy spirit but to who your God is.

i see you have no clue as to what a jungian archetype is either.
unbelievable. i mention it and it you think thats what your original intent was when you said
there is not a chance in hell you can connect the dots here and back up your back stroke here.

go ahead tells us in your own words
Jungian Archetypal and "As far as the "holy spirit" there are numerous explanations for this feeling in the field of psychology."

amuse us all…or enlighten us all.

i slap you with the forum's gauntlet .

Here is a simple summary from wiki.

Jung developed an understanding of archetypes as universal, archaic patterns and images that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct. They are autonomous and hidden forms which are transformed once they enter consciousness and are given particular expression by individuals and their cultures. Being unconscious, the existence of archetypes can only be deduced indirectly by examining behavior, images, art, myths, religions, or dreams. They are inherited potentials which are actualized when they enter consciousness as images or manifest in behavior on interaction with the outside world.

You claimed earlier that "the holy spirit" led you to God. I was wondering which God this spirit led you to ?

Allow me to enter the fray and get out quick.

YAH is the "Lord of the Spirits". The scriptures are pretty clear that in the last days, the days after the cross, that YAH would send a spirit of strong delusion to those he appoints for destruction, and they would "love a lie", and jesus is that lie, and the spirit they call the Holy Spirit is merely a powerless spirit of strong delusion. They are the false anointed and false prophets that love that lie.
The scriptures also talk about "seducing spirits" that will make that spirit of delusion a STRONG spirit of delusion. And NDE's could be that.
When people talk about the "holy spirit feeling", they are talking about something that could be described as "ecstasy religion", like voodoo.
The born again delusion was started mostly on Azuza St. in California. A black former voodoo priest showed up and introduced the people to jesus voodoo. They would fall back, squirm on the ground, dance and have spasms, and all sorts of ecstasy stuff.
They learned to use mood lighting, mood music, sudden outbursts, and other things to mesmerize the crowd.

I have to laugh when they tall about all the good stuff they do that makes them holy, but I don't think that "doing the right thing" is exclusive to jesus people. And their power is money, and always has been money. The first thing they did was sell indulgences and absolution of sin, and take up collections.
They claim America is blessed by God, but our nation was built on 17 trillion of debt, money that was created out of thin air.
We have more debt than the rest of the world combined. We spend more money on weapons than the rest of the world combined.
Guns and magic money aren't the work of the Holy Spirit.

ok so you could not give us an original iota of thought on archetypes from a jungian collective unconscious perspective. you resorted to a wiki post..

your dancing and rather badly ..it's obvious now that you googled and tossed in this tidbit to look good
"My use of Jung as an example was both appropriate and fitting to the discussion, see archetypes. "

i proposed you tossed in Jung whithout you even knowing about the man and his theories. and you have shown us quite clearly that you did just that..

now it gets worse…for the wiki quote has nothing to do with the feelings one would feel from the Holy Spirit
    you said this
and all the wiki quotes are meaningless unless you actually have studied Jungian theory…which the only thing you actually have shown to know about Jung is how to spell his name…period.

An Archetype is not something that gives rise to some pseudo spiritualistic episode , which you are indeed aiming at here.
some odd part of the brain that could give rise to spiritual feelings in humans ..the whole new atheistic approach to any spiritual experience blah blah…i'm up on it saw the videos with the fancy helmets, i think they were yellow..

Archetypes are from your everyday experience and Jung points to how they show up, in every living soul on earth.
a simple thing like a swastika is now ingrained in our collective unconsciousness .. Pyramids,a maze..a simple maze means so much and when viewed is understood in art and film.
some directors use a simple arrow and blast that image or include that image through out a film …

trying to say that an experience from the Holy Spirit is a mere feeling due to a Jungian Archetype in our sub consciousness is absurd.

i had a thought of i need a bible and this reverend stopped talking about something else mid sentence and asked me out of no where if i had a bible…one example..how is that some feeling..it happened in real time..

your reaching with used up atheistic material that is so much off it's best before date it wreaks of little man syndrome trying to reap some inane moment that gives you pleasure in asserting there is no God other than in one's mind…

and you missed the mark when you tossed in something that has nothing to do with it and then resorted to wiki..how weak can you get..

i was really hoping that somehow you would pull a rabbit out of that hat and post something that would amaze me…seriously…but it would be impossible for Jungian theory on archetypes cannot be connected to what you tried to connect it to.
true an archetype will invoke feeling…but where in sam's hell is the archetype you are looking for to invoke the feeling you think i felt…

    AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
do you realize how every atheist is now cringing at how low you tried and missed. WELL MAYBE NOT ON THIS SITE.

ok i answered your question but here goes again in other words.

it wasn't "A" Spirit..it is the Holy Spirit that permeates everything…God is everything..you are God..the same ID that governs the cosmos and gravity and that lil bruise on your arm that goes away , to that flu you get over…is God…sometimes the Holy Spirit teaches us, is control of this gross world we live in…by gross i mean harder lightwaves that those of heaven…or above heaven…thats something you can't google , maybe..i'm not into learning about spirituality through wiki..

so this little jab that you think is so clever…is meaningless to me…do you honestly think you can step up to me and not seriously look like you don;t know something if you choose to take the stance of there is no God.

forever in type you used the word Jung and only knew how to spell his name and knew nothing of his archetypes had to google it after caught in the tangled web you tried to spin.

dude…there is God…there is a Spirit that teaches us…it's not so much an entity Spirit on it's own, but God…

    the Buddha has three bodies…
one in heaven , you have to go there to be in it's presence and communicate with it…
A worldly body that we know from history…he walked on earth and taught and lived and died..
and a Dharma kaya body, which is like the Spirit i talk of..

You blabber much but say little. You claim to know about Jung but you do not post much about his ideas in relation to the topic. Your are not an academic so stop pretending.

Thinking that might know something about Jung I thought a simple summary might do. Clearly I was mistaken.

    http://www.religiousworlds.com/fondarosa/jung03.html

So Jung claims that the mind has a tendency to produce the same mythical ideas over and over again. The Holy Spirit is one such archetype.

These myths and the images and ideas that surround them sit in our subconscious and affect our conscious.

I have no idea what you felt but, if you understand that strong unconscious drives can produce feelings then you should understand what many, if not most people claim is "the Holy Spirit".

This does not mean that spirit guides do not exist and it does not mean that God does not exist or are just figments of one's imagination.

What it does mean is that it is easy for people to mistake influences from archetypes in ones unconscious for reality. We see this often in fundamentalist or Pentecostal religious groups.

no that would be you and add on stuff you know nothing about to explain yourself..

You brought up Jung and in such a way , the only thing to do was to lol at it and make you look silly…
not pretending to be anything…thats your ad hominem
here you can talk about this
    http://www.dairygoodness.ca/cheese/all-you-need-is-cheese
you nothing of about a subject and yet you use the author of the thesis as a reason for making your assumption.
your trying to put a square peg into round hole…

no thats not the point about archetypes and their latent effect on our psyche
those are an interpretation and not purely Jungian…
Jung claims that if something is produced enough times in art and literature and if he were alive today pop culture it eventually becomes part of the collective unconsciousness of human beings.

these, when viewed or heard or read in some medium mean exactly the same to everyone due to it having become part of the collective unconsciousness..
Some would argue there is no collective unconscious like in the same some would deny genetic memory…

so to say i had an experience that was due to an archetype is just missing the point…the archetypes are not some pre programmed event about to happen…it's like once taught a tree is a tree , then you know what a tree is…the fact you know the tree is a tree does not produce treeness in you.

i understand and to be fair i never explained my experience to you..but in my case events take place, people are involved and it's all very much reality based...
i am not in touch with any spirit guides. sounds like i would dig it though
your giving the archetypes a life of their own…thats not what he meant..they are not producing anything they just are there and when we encounter them externally in our environment they mean the same thing to us without us being taught for they are part of the collective unconsciousness.

i've encountered these people many times and they seem to have a knack of saying things to me that i dwell on and come to see as something being told to me that they had no intention or impetus about …when i meet them later on they don;t really know what i am talking about but they say thats the Holy Spirit..sort of weird stuff but i've witnessed it...

We covered Jung for about a week in a Psychology class I took. I do not remember too much but I do remember this. When the first athlete in history completed a mile in under 4 minutes, something that had been insurmountable for many years , someone else did it with very short time.

The explanation was that once one person had done it, it became possible -part of the collective unconscious- and because the unconscious believed it was possible it made it easier for others to do it.

Vasily Alekseyev was the first ever to clean and Jerk 500 lbs, someone else did it almost immediately after.

OK .. something happened, people were involved. I have no comment.

OK so you do not have contact with the holy spirit but you believe in the holy spirit and feel it directs you.

It is these folks that I have encountered which makes me skeptical when someone claims contact with the so called "holy spirit".

My second issue is - how would anyone know the nature of the spirit or the identity of the spirit even if a spirit was active in their lives.

I think the OP is referring to the mysterious absence of Lilith in the current iteration of the Bible.

wow your teacher obviously never understood Jung and the concept…wow…so i see why your confused…i would wipe clean anything that moron taught you.

but you claimed knowledge and inserted a complete false view of Jungian theory into the post…thats part of who you are and what you do ...

    edit
first up are you deliberately misquoting me for i said i do not have a spirit guide and you rearranged that to contact with the holy spirit..so wahst it then going to be…is this trolling or attention disorder problems? hmmmm
    end of edit
    or
i see the problem here…you have comprehension problems…ok… thats ok….now slow down and read this and try to recall what we are talking about…for i told you that the Holy Spirit is not like a spirit guide…2 or 3 times now..

first up a spirit guide and "The Holy Spirit" are two complelelty different things..I realize you went to some school with morons for teachers, if they allowed what ever to teach you Jungian theory as you posted then God only knows what else they let in …where did you grow up…some really rural area?, something in the mountains cut off from civilization where it was hard to get teachers…because i wrote and explained what the Holy Spirit is and that i don;t have a spirit guide…Also i explained Jungian theory…something i have actually studied from jungian books..the guy..not some moron teacher who uses people's physical ability as some sort of comparison..you do realize that sports evolves through physical training..the mental training has nothing to do with Jungian theory..my god man…seriously now…you need to erase what ever you have been told from that teacher…All sports have become faster and better due to training and coaching…Hockey is no longer the same game that the Great One ,Gretzky, played..he would not even make the NHL today….and thats like 1999...

i don;t know why but for me…the Pentecostals have been keenly saying things to me out of the blue that have led me to much spiritual thought…thats what i said…maybe it's where you live and like everyone is somewhat not up to snuff
like i said you have not comprehended even close what i took the time to explain to you…so i cannot answer this…for it is just nonsensical miss mash of non comprehensive nothingness..

maybe we should no longer converse…don;t look at me not answering /replying to your quotes as any sort of rudeness…i just can;t deal with you right now…and the forum does have a few interesting people with which to converse with who have no comprehensive problems.
but clearly i have told you several times and put a lot of time into expelling things and you come up with totally non related anything…it's like you just gleam the page and rewrite the non jungian theory and ignore the fact that a spirit guide is not the holy spirit..

if you google Dharma Kaya and read up on it and then come back and converse about the Holy Spirit from that angle with me we can continue…this is the second time i have told you about Dharma Kaya..and the gazionith time here at PF...

over the course of my life some things happened that someone or something went to al lot of trouble for me…case in point..as a die hard atheist something really caught my attention..

i was a heavy smoker and spent most of every morning gagging for breath and coughing up huge flemballs..2 to 3 packs daily..started at 13 and at 37 something happened..

everywhere i went i would encounter people with those walk about oxygen mask thingies…the little buggy with pure oxygen and the tube deals into the nose…

me wife constantly pointed out that would be one day that would be me…now the thing is every day…and i mean every single day i started to see up to 8 of these people cross my path …at least 2 to 3 and sometimes 8…for months..it got to me…really got to me and i started to get the impression that lung disease was insanely common…so i quit….cold turkey…I've quit before but never lasted 3 days…

once i got around day 4…
but this time it was weird…and i drove everyone around me bonkers…i could not stop laughing at anything…real loud obnoxious belly laughs at the slightest of things..all the time…
me wife and best bud said it was better than being cranky…lol….ok sooooo….after about 5 weeks i awoke and started to con myself into thinking i was now cured all the damage was healed and ciggies were not that bad for you…like they sell them next to candy in variety stores….
so i go to a variety store to buy a pack of ciggies…and i open the door and out comes an old lady with an oxygen buggy..i freaked out for the moment i quit smoking….i never saw these things anymore…not one…like now ..i maybe see one every 8 months or so , cause they are not that!!! common..i realized someone or something had gone to a lot of trouble for me to witness this…
now you can mock or what ever …but this was for me a reality…and me wife saw these women and men with these buggies and nagged me every time one went by….

so i walked away and the thought of what went down was more important at the time than the actual quitting smoking..that was over 20 years ago…

so many things like that have happened to me…when i was kid and living dangerously things happened…anyway…
i don;t know..what or who or anything…the only word i can come up with is Holy spirit for similar things happened for me to find a Bible ...
