16 major retail chains closing stores across America

Here's the list – Staples, Office Depot, Radio Shack, Albertsons, Abercrombe & Fitch, Barnes & Nobel, J.C. Penney, Toys R Us, Sweetbay Supermarkets, Loehmann's, Sears & Kmart, Quiznos, Sbarro, Ruby Tuesday, Red Lobsater, Ralph's, and Dominick's grovery stores.

[Haven't seen a Ralph's in years. One of my earliest memories right towards the end of WWI, was walking from my house to the Ralph's on the corner of Pico and Normandie. Even had a small bakery with delicious aromas.]

So, suck it up and remember – only a bit over 3 more years to go. Read the article @ http://www.dcclothesline.com/2014/04/06/16-major-retail-chains-closing-stores-across-america/

Are you blaming Obama for business models and decisions? Those companies have CEOs who make the decisions. Barnes and Noble is selling books at a time when e-readers are becoming mainstream and widespread. Others on that list weren't leaders in their particular fields. Go back and look at how many businesses have open and shut their doors when new technology comes out. Also, you probably do not realize how much sells of goods on the internet has increased in the past decade.

Obama's administration might make poor decisions. But dumping blame on him for this is exactly the kind of thing that makes American politics poor.

There are a lot of people who credit or discredit the president for how the economy goes, however fair or unfair you think that is. While it's true that we are no longer in the clutches of the great recession, Obama's stewardship in this area is not seen as successful by many. I think he's a pretty good campaigner but his governing record is poor IMHO. Unless that is you are among his political base.

Hows that austerity plan working for ya?

Step 1: Obstruct and use control of the House to (*)(*)(*)(*) up the economy. E.g. Create as much uncertainty as possible by threatening to cause the US to shut down the government, default on its obligations, and wreck the economy. Add 700,000+ people to the unemployment lines by eliminating government jobs. Block every single proposal by the President to create jobs. Force austerity cuts in Govt spending to prevent or limit economic growth.

Step 2: Blaaaaame Obaaaaaamaaaaaa and count on the sheeple simply blaming whoever is president. E.g. This thread.

It is always nice to know that our future relies on what votes our elected politicians can con out of their constituents. I would hate for us to have to think more than two years down the road. But keep your right vs left battles going, because that will get you nowhere. You are just as much a sheeple Iriemon until you figure out you don't actually matter.
