Do you believe it, the sleazebag in chief the most admire. The man who so disgraced and insulted the office to which he was elected. The man who so abused women in the workplace and threatened them if they talked. The man who while President in violation of his oath of office walked into federal court proceeding where he was being sued for the sexual abuse of a subordinate willfully lied in order to obstruct justice, perjury. The man who has never owned up to his misdeeds and apologized for them. Who wagged his finger at the American people while he told his lie.

"Who's the most admired American president of the last 25 years?

According to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Annenberg Survey, that would be Bill Clinton.

Asked which U.S. president of the past 25 years they admired most, 42 percent named the 42nd president — more than twice the percentage of any other president.

The other three received roughly the same amount of admirers: President Barack Obama (18 percent), President George W. Bush (17 percent) and President George H. W. Bush (16 percent).

The poll of 1,238 adults was conducted June 2-8 — about a week before the elder Bush made headlines for celebrating his 90th birthday with a skydive.

The admiration for Clinton, the pollsters noted, underscores "how much he has done to burnish his profile" since leaving the White House in 2001.

But Clinton, who has done extensive philanthropic work through his Clinton Global Initiative, was already admired by many when he left office.

His approval rating at the end of his second term was 66 percent — the highest of any of the four presidents who've served in last quarter-century. George W. Bush's approval rating was 34 percent when he left the office in 2001, and George H. W. Bush had a 56 percent approval rating in 1993.

According to a Gallup taken in early June, President Obama's approval rating was 44 percent."

What is too admire about him? He allows his name to be used in his foundation while spending lavishly out of it on their own personal gain?

    http://www.haitian-truth.org/huge-s...nd-hillary-added-commentary-by-haitian-truth/

"The report, which came back on-line early Wednesday afternoon, reveals that the Clintons have used the charitable foundation to promote other goals, including Bill Clinton’s business ventures and Hillary Clinton’s political aspirations; this has led to some unsettling consequences."

What is to admire about this sleazebag?

You guys completely lost your "moral high ground"....

when you were out there touting Newt Gingrich for your 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee.

Gingrich was on his THIRD marriage to his SECOND mistress. And yet you had no problem with his morality.

And at that moment....all your talk of Clinton....looked like what it is (and was even in the 90s).....hypocrisy.

When did Gingrich commit perjury? I forgot...oh that's right, never.

To the topic, OP just underlines the dangers of mob rule and the wisdom of the framers in separating the public best they could from the political process.

Compared to how the Democrat fell into their moral hole over Clinton? First I don't see many admiring Gingrich for his personal life and yes his scandals WERE personal as opposed to Clinton. Had Clinton simply had a mistress and got divorce he would have few if any problems about. That was NOT the case was it. Comparing the two is laughable and if you are criticizing Gingrich then surely you toss Clinton over the cliff.

And since Gingrich is not up for any moral rewards or admiration..............................how on earth does anyone admire the sleazebag sexual abuser Clinton?

Despite claims by many conservatives that Clinton's tax increase would wreck the economy and destroy jobs, we saw the longest sustained period of growth post WWII, 23 million additional jobs created, poverty levels dropping to all time lows, stock markets tripling even with the correction, the unemployment rate dropping to the lowest level in decades, and the best average GDP growth since the 1960s. Oh yeah, and a then record deficit turning into a surplus.

What's to admire about him? Most folks don't share your partisan obsession about the fact he had a dalliance with and Intern.

All having to do almost entirely with the internet boom created by commercial interests in the private sector, and almost nothing to do with any government policy.

To the Clinton hagiographers and hacks, sorry you didn't build that.

And as you have been told over and over the economic recovery he inherited was strong that predicted so his tax increase only slowed down that recovery.

No thanks to the tax increase. The economy really took off overcoming the tax rate increases after the Gingrich/Kasich tax rate cuts.

But you are right most Americans thanks to the fallacious reporting of the MSM credit Clinton with the surplus and the economic boom he actually inherited.

And yes you seem to have fallen for it.

Yes what is to admire about him.

Pointing out the constant absurd and obsessive drooling the left does over him is not the obsession it is point out the obsession. If you guys would stop putting him on some kinda of pedestal and worshipping the sleaze bag and make him go away I'd never have to mention him again. And what is to be admired about his outrageous behavior in the Oval Office with a very young White House intern let alone his sexual abuse of other subordinates in the workplace and other women he had power over? Hmmm?

Yes to the left slowing down a surging and strong economic recovery and slowing the rate of tax revenue growth from 9% to 7% is some kinda of successful policy. Then they ignore the fact that Clinton fought congress for HIGHER spending not lower spending and opposed the Gingrich/Kasich welfare reform and tax rate increase both of which brought about the surpluses in an attempt to credit them to Clinton.

The man who repealed Glass-Steagall is scum and deserves no respect as a president.

Bill Clinton was great President, no doubt about it. Thankfully, Americans appreciate greatness.

What I admire about Clinton is that he didn't stop his involvement in the public sphere after his presidency ended. His NGO involvement keeps him busy.

What was great about him that mitigates what a horrible man he is?

See links above, it's about his own self interest.

It's hard to take you seriously with such a silly agenda.

That says a lot about the GOP's candidates then if Clinton won. Maybe instead of running negative attack ads, the GOP needs to rebrand itself to seem less extreme and crazy? Still, Clinton was a good president, and he's done a lot of good work since.

Clinton was simply awesome. Asking me to define his awesomeness is like asking me to describe the color blue... it's just a fact that must be accepted. How awesome, you ask? I think that Iriemon put it best: Clinton did what Reagan failed to do. Clinton not only reduced the deficit, but he brought unprecedented economic prosperity with his radical budget. Republicans can learn a thing or two from the average Democrat about being fiscally responsible.

i'm sorry, but that doesn't really tell me anything. And I'm always skeptic of people who claim their guy fixed the economy.

    I take it you're a Democrat liberal?

Clinton didn't fix it. He just tidied it up a bit.

I'm so liberal, I bury the needle. The alternative to being aa Democrat is just to horrific to contemplate.
