TEXAS needs to begin the process of SECEDING from the US...

Sure let them secede - but only AFTER they have paid back all the welfare they have gotten from the Federal government.

That will go a long way towards reducing the federal debt.

 

There are more things to life than a state's current economic situation.

Or you could live here (California)




All these places are within driving distance for a day trip for me.

Whatever debt you're talking about doesn't slow down anybody I know. It may slow down people who rely on some government program, but not me.

 

Good luck with that, but just a warning when you do we will probably place an embargo on you and not allow shipping in or out since you will have to do this illegally. See how well your economy does when the only trading partner you are allowed is Mexico. Who by the way you will alienate with your emigration policies. Sucks not having a navy.

This is possibly one of the dumbest things I ever heard. Though not because I harbor any vitriolic reaction to the word "secession". Rather because it complete ignores the fact that the Governor of Texas, Rick (If you don't provide tuition to state colleges for the children of illegal immigrants then "you have no heart.") Perry has been encouraging the influx of immigrants to the State for over a decade. He is one of the softest Republican's on immigration left in the party.

I don't know what good you think seceding is going to do when our Governor wants those workers to keep the labor costs down for his special interest overlords, and to build his repulsive freaking toll roads all over the place. Which your tax dollars pay for to a foreign company, and your tolls pay that same company over again. That's a sweet freakin deal right there.

I mean Jesus Christ man he's on the record favoring a path to citizenship. The only thing he's in favor of is putting more funding into the border for agents, and technology which is exactly what the President is supposedly holding the country hostage for.

Yet he's been elected by the Texas GOP 3 times, and it's not like you never had good candidates primary him. They chose this guy, and then they turn around and wonder "Where are all these Mexicans coming from!? I know, must be those no good racki frackin eggheads in Washington!". Why are the children mostly coming into Texas? Why does Texas have 13 sanctuary cities? Why does Texas give in state tuition to the children of illegal immigrants?

It's the STATE government that did or allowed all of that. Fix that first then secession might actually mean something.

Why is the cost of housing so low in Texas?

Because Texas home construction labor is primarily illegal immigrants. Contractors who want to hire legal workers can't compete. Part of the 'Texas Success" story is the vast amount of underpaid and unregulated cheap labor that they have embraced.

I am all for Texas leaving, I can move anywhere in the USA. The funny thing is Louie Gomert and Cruz would be gone from America. Hell where do I send money to get this ball rolling on Texas leaving the USA??? I can create a website donation??

It's a dry heat though. Seriously, I've spent quit a bit of time in Arizona and live in West Virginia. The heat in West Virginia during the summer is much more oppressive. 90 degrees in WV drains my energy faster than 115 degrees in Arizona does. Sunscreen is a must in Arizona though!

 

Alright, Texas can secede, but only if they take New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida with them.

 

I second that idea (IF) push comes to shove but I'd rather 'secede' ALL of the liberal scum.....starting with B.O. But, if push does come to shove, I hope to include TN, Arkansas, Montana, Kansas, South Carolina, Georgia and other RED States in addition to New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida......well, the liberal scum can possibly keep Louisiana and especially FL. Florida has been a thorn in the South for quite a long time and LA is simply ran by thugs (as is Washington). Hopefully none of the REAL American States will be forced to secede after we've cleaned our all the dimocrats from ruling seats.
