Oh yeah, I am pretty new to Icons to. I grew up pretty non religious. Though visiting baptist and methodist churchs occasionally. But I love Icons. I love to sit and meditate on them and what they are picturing. The symbolism and what they mean. Though in Latin Rite there are less Icons as statues, but we do have some nice things to meditate on. Like the Crucifixion, Immaculate heart and the Sacred heart.

Oh. I had thought originally it was the transfiguration.
