While the terrorapologists wail and beat their breasts in dismay over the "poor civilians of Gaza", they, as usual, IGNORE THE UGLY TRUTH ABOUT THOSE PEOPLES' OWN LEADERS:

HAMAS' Human Shield War With Israel

Hamas terrorists continued shooting rockets at Israel today as air raid sirens sounded all over the country including in Jerusalem. But the international media’s focus on the conflict continues to be the rising toll of Palestinian civilian casualties. Yet, as with previous conflicts, not much attention is being paid to the way Hamas uses Palestinians as human shields.

As I noted yesterday, even the New York Times found it necessary to report that the Israel Defense Forces are issuing warnings to Palestinians living in and around Hamas missile launchers and operations center in Gaza. But having decided to escalate another round of violence by launching hundreds of rockets into Israel, the Islamist group is still hoping to use the presence of Palestinian civilians around legitimate military targets as a weapon against the Jewish state.

In the past, this merely meant putting missile launchers next to schools, hospitals, and mosques as well among civilian homes in the densely populated strip. But as Israel has stepped up its efforts to try and spare civilians even as it seeks to silence the terrorist fire, Hamas has also increased its efforts to ensure that as many inhabitants of Gaza as possible are hurt in the fighting.

Per usual...the TERRORIST LEADERS gleefully lead their own people to slaughter, as they seek increases in "foreign aid" payments, so that they, too, can die BILLIONAIRES, like Yasser Arafat, while their people NEVER SEE A DIME OF THAT AID.

Israel needs to deal with these nomadic squatters once in for all. Just invade en masse and push them out.

Sooner or later they'll be annihilated and then we can have peace in the region. I'm tired of watching them poke the hive...and then cry to the world about Bee Stings.

Hamas has been doing this human shield thing forever with their women and children........it's disgusting just like their child suicide bombers. And deranged liberals eat it up.

Again, and again....it's another UN-sponsored money grab, between the terrorist leadership, and the UN, who always get their "cut" of any aid to help the Poor Palestinians.

I would love to read the posts from Palestinian sympathizers and see what illogical reasoning they have for this trend. I just think all mooslims are a bunch of chicken skits. If they did not have women and children to hide behind they would have erased their kind centuries ago. Sort of like Saddam Hussein crying the blues when we sent a bunker buster into what they called a baby milk formula factory.

The liberals who openly support Hamas in their cause have always perplexed me when you consider their history of hiding combatants among women and children. I don't understand how liberals can tolerate the use of human shields.

I heard recently that Israel was amassing 20k troops in preparation for a ground offensive. Has anyone heard of developments there?
This is exactly what IDF needs to do. Issue the ultimatum: Cease this nonsense once and for all. One more rocket, and we will seek out and destroy every single terrorist, by whatever means, until the terror is overwith. No compromise. No delay. No BS.

Is this really a liberal/conservative issue? I'm liberal on most social issues and as a liberal, I am against the Islamic extremists. They make our religious nut jobs look harmless in comparison.

Yes, I am concerned about the human rights of the Palestinians but we can't fight for peace for a people that don't want peace. I've been told that the majority of them do want peace, don't want the rockets fired at Israel because they will pay the price, etc. then this majority of "innocent" people could get together and stop it. Or at least elect a leadership that holds those values instead of one pledged to fight to the death.

There will never be a right of return, no way. The longer they hold out and launch rockets the more land they lose due to security issues that they are creating. Soooo stupid. Put all the money and effort into building a future for themselves and the generations to come...

It is with many. There are a lot of people on the left who associate support for Israel as a a conservative stance. Therefor those same liberals believe support for the enemies of Israel is a liberal stance.

As long as you are commenting on Israel and not the United States i think you are entitled to your opinion.

    Fire away.

Squatters? You mean like those Jewish 'settlers' who have been stealing Palestinian land, throwing Palestinians out of their homes and destroying their means of making a meagre 'living' for decades? Those squatters? I agree, throw those 'god fearing' bastards out, along with their odious Zionism. They have their 'promised land'; go back and live in it.

Don't bother; these are the type for whom Fox news represents the acme of journalistic excellence, and whose cliched rubbish they regurgitate, parrot-fashion, and don't have the brains to see through and reach their own opinions without being told what to think.

I cannot guess if at Gaza they can find :weed: or  [but being Muslim, at leas they say to be, they should avoid such substances ... theoretically], but this time HAMAS is reaching a never seen level of efficiency in endangering the life of Palestinians in Gaza.

As surreal and incredible it can sound, but in the last days some rockets have hit also Egyptian soil, even killing Egyptian soldiers.

So, it seems that someone there is thinking:

"let's see who invades us first ... Israelis or Egyptians? Or may be both!"

What's the problem with commenting about America? Is it sacrosanct or what? I note you're perfectly happy to comment and voice your valuable opinion in a thread about Israel so I suggest you quit your defensiveness or leave yourself open to accusations of hypocrisy and double standards. Is that alright with you? Good.

I'll bet you don't believe in God either.

    God exists.

The Jews are God's chosen people.

    And Israel is their homeland.

That is the only way events in the Middle East make any sense.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Israel is not my country.

    But its not yours either.

Call it neutral territory if you want.

Not unless you want to include global opinion and the majority of those represented in the United Nations who want to see Palestine awarded full statehood. Are all those countries filled with 'liberals', or does anyone not agreeing, lock-step, with Israel's policies fall into that category?
In my book anyone with a sense of justice is a supporter of a people who have been oppressed, subjugated and treated as less than human for over 70 years. If that, to you, is 'liberal' then I'm proud to number myself among them.

Palestine was offered full statehood by the UN in 1948 and they turned it down.

No, I don't believe in ancient fairytales any more than I believe Harry Potter's wizards are real. Naturally those who wish to delude themselves and genuflect before mythological entities invented by men, are free to do so. Frankly I have better and more important things to be concerned with. There are no 'gods' and no 'chosen people'.
