If I start to shoot abortion doctors, am I a murder? a terrorist? Both? Or am I a hero for preventing a someone from committing another murder?
A murderer and a terrorist, they are hypocrites you cannot on the one hand try and defend life and on the other take it.
A murderer? Just like anybody else who kills somebody. Somebody who performs abortions does so under full support of the law (at present), and even if you believe in some kind of "religious righteousness" I fail to see how ending an Abortionists life via-firearm would help your cause either, it would probably strengthen the oppositions. Under the same logic that Christians hold, you shouldn't be able to have a wet dream... look at all those potential lives lost...
What nonsense. Defending an innocent life is quite different from defending the life of a murderer like Dr. Kermit Gosnell. There would be no hypocrisy in using deadly force to protect someone from a lynch mob. There is certainly hypocrisy in the position that serial murders should be saved from execution because all lives have value while at the same time support all abortions.
I'd say all options are correct. It's a murderer because it's an unlawful killing. It's a terrorist because it intents to scare others into not doing abortions. And, it saves the life of an innocent baby. now, it's another discussion entirely wheter it's okay to do abortions. I happen to believe it's okay, but it's still an innocent life.
Beats me. I was responding to your silly statement that "they are hypocrites you cannot on the one hand try and defend life and on the other take it." I can defend the life of a woman being attacked by a rapist by killing the rapist with no hypocrisy and with consistency. To try and equate the life of an innocent baby with the life of a killer is ridiculous. If you're looking for hypocrisy you might want to consider those who support abortion at will for the full nine months of pregnancy but at the same time oppose the execution of convicted murderers.
Depends on the reason. If he's being shot for being an abortion doctor, the charge should be murder. If he's being shot in self defense, because in his drug addled state, he breaks into a house, their should be no charge. I'm pro-life, but murdering an abortion doctor is still murder. And it does nothing to stop future abortions from happening, all it does is give the pro-abortion folks more ammunition to use.
The life of a killer is as important as the life of a child. Protecting some one is good and if your "have" to kill some one so be it. But there are many means of protecting some one without taking a life. The ideal is that in the end no one loses their life. An abortion doctor is doing something terrible. But when some one kills one of these doctors it is not a split second decision of "if I dont kill him right now some one will die." There are other means of stopping that doctor, means that do not include more violence. I dont know if you are religious but if you are a Christian use the example of Christ. When Christ was approached by the soldiers, Simon Peter cut off the ear of one of the high priests servants. Christ admonished him and healed the ear even though those men were coming to take him to his death. Why did Christ heal that ear and order the weapons put away?
Why did they shoot them? Was it because he is a souless drunk who beat his wife and tortured his kids and was killed by one of them? Was the doctor black and the shooter a cop? These details matter.
It's interesting that men are usually the ones who start these anti-abortion threads. I have always believed that if men were the ones who had to give birth to and nurture babies, abortion on demand would have been legal eons ago. Anyone disagree?
Perhaps, and would the women then have to spend the next 18 years paying for that child against their will and if they don't would they have to go to jail? Because that is what happens now to men who have no choice in the abortion issue at all.
First, please explain how you "start to shoot abortion doctors". If you don't 'finish' shooting them, then no harm, no foul. If you do 'finish' shooting them it would depend on whether or not you killed them. If so you'd be a murderer, if not, but you managed to injure them, you'd be charged with assault with a deadly weapon and possibly attempted murder or manslaughter. If you hollered out Allahu Akbar while doing this deed...you'd be a terrorist.
Murderer. Terrorist gets thrown around a bit to nonchalantly especially after 9/11. I actually wouldn't have minded if someone walked up to Gosnell and shot him dead and in fact I would openly applaud it.....that being said the person that did it should still be sent to jail for murder. This isn't "The Purge", at least not yet.
Doubtful. Most abortion doctors are in the abortion business, and don't practice outside of the abortion mills.
haha that's not true. Maybe it's just word order. But can you imagine a maiden being assailed by the wicked knight, and the good and virtuous arrives. "Oh, Sir Valiant has come to save me!" "No I have not, Madam! For unfortunately saving you from Sir Villanous would require my dispatching him, a paradox, which I can not commit myself to." Haha, no, you can defend life and take life. In fact, those most serious about protecting life and justice often take life. The case of the oh-so-rare-and-ineffectual abortion-clinic-bomber is quite different. To the op, I say - it depends, but either murderer or terrorist.
