I believe that rights do not exist so no I do not believe there is not a right to be murdered as is proven by inner city democrats 7 days a week.

So what? He's just one guy out of a population of 300 million and isn't anybody special. He broke the law in a foreign country. End of.

Oh please! Give me a freaking break! We do have a Status Of Forces Agreement with some countries. The Philippines being one of the, I doubt a service member can get away with aggravated assault. As far as I'm concerned, the Philippines can keep him.

How the hell does strangling someone count as conducting himself with honor? Are yo for real?

Who has seen his diary; you? Furthermore you know absolutely nothing of this case except what the media has published. What happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'? You've appointed yourself judge, jury and executioner when otherwise rational people prefer to wait until the judgement is made public before leaping to conclusions.

Just like Bo Bergdahl who broke the military law of his service. Why is it worth the government's effort to lie, break the law itself and free Taliban killers to get Bergdahl back, but do nothing with regard to Andrew Tahmoressi?

The judge in military courts-not Obama-is who decides whether a court is held in camera or open to the public. And yes, they are insignificant unless you can come up with a compelling reason why they should be regarded as special cases?

How has your government broken the law, as you allege? Not that it matters really; all your governments do, be they left or right.

Obama broke the law he himself had signed into being by failing to notify Congress of the release of senior Taliban commanders within a thirty day window of the deal (as required by the law).
And he did so by claiming Bergdahl's extremely poor health made the notification impractical though Army doctors in Germany reported that Bergdahl was in "excellent" health when they examined him.

So Obama simply ignored the law and then lied to rationalize his conduct. So, yes. All governments break the law. When do we start to hold
    government to account?

Many of them are Christians. Only democrats hold conservatives to a higher standard the Bible says God does. I believe that people are imperfect and will face adversity in their life and that is no reason to justify aborting them. Doesn't mean it is a "right" one way or the other. Regardless, this person held themselves as a woman when they were not and went home with someone expecting to be going home with a woman. Sucks he apparently killed the tranny but does not change that the tranny was doing a scummy thing. I feel no sympathy for the tranny. That behavior is an embarrassment to the LGBT community and the fact that it was in the family does not give it a free pass to political sainthood.

Why do you even bother? If people are going to get behind some marine that murdered someone, what makes you think the same people won't feel the same about an ex-marine who illegally crossed the border into Mexico?

Based off of some of the comments here, it seems that the marine's constitutional right to get away with murder in a foregin country is being violated. Thanks Obama!

I was being sarcastic. There is tendency here among true patriots to preface 'servicemen' with 'brave' or refer to them refexively as 'heroes' simply for being in the service. Another poster here is obsessed with 'military honour' and how only someone in the service can understand the concept or idea of 'honour'. Just because someone enlists or wears a uniform does not make them brave or a hero or imbue them with some sort of 'honour'. That was the thrust, which I thought was so evident as to not need actual pointing out.

Not as sick as killing someone for being transgendered. THAT'S not only sick but against the law. Is being transgengered illegal?

    - - - Updated - - -

We know he'd been there before so I wonder if he'd taken guns before and got away with it?

He deserves a fair trial, but a possible scenario is that after playing tongue hockey with this he/she and later finding out the outie was turned into an innie....he lost it and killed her. If he's guilty let him rot in a Philippine jail....who cares, the fact he's a Marine is incidental to the crime. Assuming of course he is given a fair trial and is found guilty. If he's innocent, obviously the government of the U.S. should get involved at that point.

Agree with Hurk, let's see him get a trial.

If he's guilty he deserves to rot, or worse.

Marines are simply people, for every crappy little spit, there is a heroic all american badarse as well.

The good old ying and the yang

What constitutional rights would that be?

The United States and the Philippines are both obeying the Joint Forces Act that was singed not too long ago. The Acti is the same or similar Act that we have signed with many foreign countries which our military is permanently stationed abroad.

He is in an Filipino Army Base under guard my U.S. MP's. Under the act, the Filipino Government will more than likey try him, and if found guilty, sentence him. At that point, he will be dishonorably discharged and serve his sentence.

The thread's Moderator has asked us to focus exclusively on the topic hereafter, so I'll only respond by saying that when the President of the United States decides to intervene (or refuse to intervene) in any issue, it can become a high-visibility matter. Obama can pick and choose matters into which he decides to inject himself, and, thus, "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows." (Bob Dylan, "Subterranean Homesick Blues")

Why would he interfere in a charge of murder in a foreign country?
