It seems like the US Congress is designed specifically to stop anything getting done.

It is designed so change is gradual... it works well in that regards. Remember the US federal government was designed to do very little. States were supposed to do most of the governing as people have greater control over their state officials.

I find most times quickly jumping into a solution for something, especially when it involves the lives of over 300 million people its downright stupid and has plenty of unintended consequences.

Quote from Sen Jerry Moran (R)...

"The message that was delivered to us (from voters) was: We expect to have policies put in place that the American people support, and we expect you to work together to accomplish that."

Too bad Dem voters didn't send their elected officials a similar message... they might not be in the mess they're in now.

    I agree.

Makes me wonder who they're polling.... because besides a few who ousted some dems... it isn't the voters.

"The individual is more competent than the government at making decisions such as how to provide health care."

Your post doesn't make sense to me except above. If you are paying for your own healthcare, decisions of what kind of healthcare provided to an individual is decided by an insurance company. The individual has very little control over it.

    - - - Updated - - -

What taxes? What hidden high costs? Show me the republican version. Over 20 million Americans have healthcare under Obamacare plus another 7.8 million children are able to stay on their parents insurance until the age of 26. If you dismantle obamacare as many republicans have promised to do, those people will lose their health insurance. I say fix the problems, don't kill it.

Then you need to find a country that isn't a democracy. Regardless of what Republicans have promised, Obamacare is here to stay. They may change it but they won't get rid of it. You're just stuck with working class Americans having access to affordable healthcare.

I am not sure this is worth it but...

Actually even Republicans reject this notion. They feel not campaigning on the success of the last 6 years was stupid and I agree.

Are you 12? I don't want to make you look so foolish if you are a child like your writing reflex.

Tell us why those bills aren't moving forward. Hint: It isn't Reid.

    Is that a direct quote?
Maybe your teacher hasn't taught you how to use quotation marks yet.

Well it is because they didn't run on the success of his policies as the GOP strategy teams are saying all day.

In the media all the time. You know the whole do-nothing Congress....etc. etc.

    ]
I hope he vetos every bad bill with a party and a rap concert just to (*)(*)(*)(*) off the GOP

Oh, I don't expect them to do it, THAT is for sure. They will wimp out and nothing of value will ever get done. They have no testicles... none of them.

    They don't have to.

She's already damaged by her association with Obama and Benghazi, her age, and her sour demeanor. She's just not likable (omg what a shrew). And in light of the tsunami of FAIL suffered by dems last Tuesday by extension she's suffered loss too.

From where I sit, she's not lookin' good. Not at all. noooooo

BTW, another take away from the election was ........ look at how the R's are electing women and blacks now. The D party is losing their lock on that voting block. As time goes on, more blacks see the dems only used them and took them for granted -used them and hobbled them with soul-killing welfare and nanny state. It's a crime, really.

Burn in Hell, Lyndon B Johnson. You earned it.

You must have missed the news. The THIRD Bengazi investigation found the same thing as the last two: There was no cover up, consparicy and no stand down order was given. The comittee found no fault with either Clinton or Obama.

    1. Yes I'm sure you can find some RINO spin out there claiming that, but the voters made the call and the voters didn't vote Democrats out of office because they didn't campaign enough.

    2. The word you were searching for is reflects as in to show, and not reflex as in response to a stimulus. If you choose to take up space on this board with 6th grader-esque attacks on the writings of others it might help if your own is above reproach.

    3. Harry Reid, in concert with with The DNC, enforced a standing agenda to impede votes on bills that would either pass or highlight the inferiority of similar Democrat proposed legislation for two reasons. First to provide ammunition for a Democrat media narrative that the Republicans are obstructing government, and secondly to shield President Obama from having to veto items that the country wants.

    4. I'm not a journalist nor am I'm under any obligation to follow the legalities of parenthetical citation, so I will use quotation marks to get my point across as I have in this case which I note you choose not to comment on because you know the sentiment is correct.

    5. So in other words; President of Everything, Responsible for Nothing.

    6. So in other words you want the President to behave exactly how you imagined the Republicans behaving, and on top of that you want him to live the lavish life of a 1%er while likely damning Republicans for doing the same?

Words from a truly ignorant person. If Working Class Americans have insurance, why are millions of working class Americans purchasing insurance for the first time??

All you lefty's now want the conservatives to compromise how sweet. the people had to learn just what the
democrat party is all about. Now it's clear to the people that the democrat party is trying to destroy
(fundamentally change) America and capitalism. And you lefty's who are really communist's don't
want ALL the gains in destroying America and capitalism to be wasted, so now you plead conservatives
for compromise. You want conservatives to compromise because you lost the power to destroy.

I say, lets destroy Obama care, lets close the border, lets destroy the IRS, the EPA, etc. lets go for
    fundamentally restoring America.

That should teach you to actually watch the hearings and skip whatever you consider 'news' as that was not the info that came from that hearing...Try CSPAN

Because the government is buying it for them through subsidies and the government will tax them if they do not.

When I tried to point out that the democrats didn't control congress for 2 years (actually only 72 days of filibuster proof majority) because of various illnesses and recounts I was poohooed and called names by republicans.

Here are the facts: The Bengazi cover-up was a republican created hoax. If you'd like to debate these facts, I suggest you post some meaningful information.
