I have begun a list of every company that has a Christmas themed commercial before thanksgiving, and my family will NOT purchase a single item from any of them for anyone for the holidays. I get enough of this crap all through December, and must deal with all the BS the Zombie child represents.

On top of this is the simple fact he was not born on his supposed birthday, A Jolly Fat man has supplanted his importance, and freakin' reindeer cannot fly.

I am going to spend a lot of money on presents...these people will get none of it.

I agree with you...at least some of them would've made enough money to have NEW commercials with NEW music....I don't know how anyone can stand that repetitive crap.

Even though I try to ignore Christmas it's hard to watch TV without having it shoved down your throat....

I REALLY show 'em....I haven't spent a penny on christmas in 40 years!

Always reminds me of Aretha Franklin singing , FREEDOM! FREEDOM ! FREEDOM!

Mentioning this probably provides more publicity to corona than it stifles their Christmas present sale.

The radio station that I work at started playing Christmas music even before October started. I can't tell you how annoying that was.

That's not too bad of an idea. I'll actually have to start doing that from now on.

whatever the impetus, buying LESS at xmas is actually very important. but only if you want a planet for you kids and grandkids to live on in any sort of comfort.

we boycott all of 'em, every year :p

we make gifts, source them from charity stores, restore old furniture found on roadsides, grow them (gourmet fruit/vegetable hampers), or buy those cards which tell the recipient they bought a milking goat for a family in Africa :p

We dont put Christmas decorations or lights on our house for public to see, but i think ill start doing it from now on. I had no idea now much Chrissy drove Marxists crazy, if only i knew earlier. Might even get some reindeer antlers for the dog when i walk him.

I like Christmas, but I think the issue here is how it's getting milked for commercial purposes. Seems to me like the decorations in stores appear 2 weeks earlier every year. First time this year I've seen them was mid-October. I was really getting aggressive.

This forum is full of people trying to convince themselves there is no God.

Obviously, Christmas is quite a threat to some of them.
Researching companies to see if they say the word "Christmas" or not is nothing more than desperate insecurity.

Corona beer has been removed from the Christmas gift list.
The kids are crossing their fingers the same won't happen to Marlboros.

Well, ya, I would too, it IS all about profit and the economy....but the same old music/commercials/movies and Black Friday reports do get pretty boring after a month or so......

This forum is full of people trying to convince themselves there is a God.

Obviously, Christmas is quite overly important to some of them.

For them researching companies to see if they say the word "Christmas" or not is nothing more than desperate insecurity.....as is objecting to the use of "X-mas" and attacking those who don't follow along like robots.

Common sense and credit card limits have been removed from the Christmas gift list.

The kids are crossing their fingers there won't be any domestic violence again this year.
