that does not implicate israel or its leaders. No doubt there are people in other places who 'celebrated' that the US had paid a price for meddling in other nations, or however they looked at it ... but that would not mean the governments of their countries supported or had a hand in 9/11.

These people may have been celebrating because they believed ... seemingly with some justification, that this would lead to more us intervention in the region. Not necessarily the intervention they would have liked though.

sounds to me they thought it was palestinians, and they thought the us would deal with the palestinians over the issue.

ronstar, some people are so focussed on the issues close to them that when anything happens anywhere they assume there is an immediate connection. An air asia flight went down in indonesia last week. My colleague at work, who has a thing about muslims, claimed immediately it was muslim terrorists. It had nothing to do with islam, nothing to do with terrorism.

suspect these israelis were on pretty much the same kind of thought trajectory ... the palestinians were their enemies, so therefore this was done by palestinians.

You can even make the case that in the fight against the extreme Sunis like ISIS or Al-Qaeda, the greatest Shia nation (Iran) is a natural ally (even if it is a bit like being cozy with Stalin during WW2).
