The DHS was a fantastic idea and is working remarkably well. They need to do this with the rest of the government agencies.

Perhaps if you understood what actually goes on there instead of listening to Alex Jones you may have a different view of it.

Really, the budget deficit went to $400B at the peak during the recovery from the 2000/2001 recession. They then brought it back down to a paltry $161B in 2007. The Democrats controlled the budget from there on and in just two years raised it to $1,400B and kept it over $1,000B for the next four years. It it STILL, 6 years after the 2008/2009 recession, higher than the WORST Republican deficit.

So who exactly created a helluva budget deficit for everyone?

Well since they have very small incomes and already had VERY small tax liabilities who do you give them large tax cuts?

And did the rich pay more in revenues and a higher percent of income tax liabilities after those tax rate cuts?

And that is a legitimate political strategy one that should be freely employed by either side?

The middle class and poor actually received larger tax cuts than the rich did.

    This is another liberal lie.

They also received marriage benefits as well as child benefits which also applied to the rich but more so to the middle class because more people were affected.

they may not of voted on the end product, but they did influence it along the way as shown by the link below

"Obama, GOP's Snowe work on health care compromise"

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/...re.compromise/

"The compromise plan would lack a government-run public health insurance option favored by Obama, but would leave the door open to adding that provision down the road under an idea proposed by Snowe, the sources said."

I think they should give everyone the same $ tax cut, I do not think some should get $50.00 and some should get $100,000.00

if your going to give everyone a tax cut, give everyone a tax cut for say $1000.00 or something, that will have the most impact on the economy

republicans tried to do the same thing to the families of 911 victims, they wanted to give janitors families less money then the rich employees for the deaths of their loved ones, like some of the deceased were worth more then others.. they also felt older victims families should get less then younger victims families....

Can you enlighten us? What does go on there? The border remains unsecured. About half of the illegal aliens who are here today overstayed their visas. Islamofascists killed people using bombs at a foot race.

    So what does DHS do?

    Oh my God.

Snowe did not work on the ACA, she was one of the weak republicans that Obama fricken tried to bribe to get her vote.

Are you seriously that gullible, I mean really....I cannot believe you are being truthful here.

And by the way, Snowe was no republican no matter what the letter behind her name said.

This is something a Marxist would think and say. "From each according to his ability. To each according to his need", right Radical Karl?

Legal plunder and greed are good, right Radical Karl. Some people will do anything for a larger share of the legal plunder.

I am surprised you didn't say, "We need to do it for the children."

Why would you care? It was a generous gift from taxpayers. It sounds like it was based on earnings potential.

Oh, the "Party of No" is at it again. If it use to be the G"NO"P, should it now be the Dem"no"crats? Whatever happened to filibustering being a childish thing? Or is the "they did it first" excuse no longer childish?

to claim that "they did if first" is childish all the while not acknowledging that, in fact, doing it first is, in and of itself, childish.... THAT is hypocritical, doncha think?

Boehner promised an immigration bill in 2013. You know, we are still waiting. Nothing changes. The really bad stuff is still really bad.

Quote false "facts", blame it on the Democrats, use whatever form of diversion suits you...

You still can't get away from the fact that the Republican Party has been feckless and impotent since 2008. They have accomplished nothing, and they have no new policy platform to promote for 2016. Electing Republicans in 2016 would effectively bring about the third term of the George W. Bush presidency. Hard core Republicans may well want that, but nobody else does.

A silly claim, to say the least. The beneficiaries of Bush's tax cuts (the top 1/4 of 1%) is well documented.

    Everyone owns the debt.

No, the "Party of No" tried extortion again.

    And it didn't work.......again.

the rock ribbed republicans from the great state of Maine who nominated her for eight terms in the House and four terms in the Senate would respectfully disagree with you, I'd imagine.
