Nixon erased tapes, and got drummed out of office. Hillary has erased hard drives. She should be drummed out of Washington. IMO what is fair for the goose is fair for the gander.

You forget she is Hillary. I am sure she had a good reason to do it. Nothing to see here.

She was just tidying up the place.

When Nixon got caught there was still a thing called integrity at play in this country. Yep, even amongst the wrongdoers. That's gone now thanks to progress.

    It's a false comparison.

Nixon had the system installed. The government owned it.

No one has the absolute right to the private correspondence of an elected official.

You are missing some very important facts which contribute to the context.

also, nixon was just caught spying on his political opponents.. hardly a matter of national security. Hillary deleted stuff that could indicate her culpability in benghazi & other scandals, which ARE matters of greater importance to the American people. IOW, her 'crimes' here are MUCH worse than nixon's.

A)You don't know Nixon's recorder was owned by the government. It could have been exactly like the private server Clinton installed.

B)No one wants Clinton's private correspondence. The government has a right, however, to all emails executed in the
pursuit of her job. Your credibility is zero after defending blatant illegalities.

Hillary may have a tougher time than her sycophants think. A new CBS poll show that she has dropped to a low of 23% favorable. IMO people in general are tired of her scandals and lies. This computer thing is going to cook her goose. Democrat better start looking else where.

Actually the court had said the tapes were Nixon's personal property and he had about 2 months to destroy them if he so chose. His attitude that he was above the law came back to bite him when the Supreme Court ordered him to turn them over. He didn't actually get busted for erasing anything but he was found guilty from what was on the actual tape.

Nixon, ironically, had nothing to do with the Watergate scandal, he was only found guilty of trying to cover it up after it was found out.

Hillary Clinton violated federal law and her own State Department regulations by using a personal email to conduct official business. When she is questioned about this, she destroys all of the emails.

If she was not using the email to conduct official buisness, then she did absolutely nothing while she was at the State Department. If she did use the email to conduct official buisness, then she broke the law.

To be precise, Nixon was condemned for 18.5 minutes of a taped conversation. Hillary Clinton wiped over 30,000 email communications of importance related to the State Department from her illegal Chappaqua server after she was subpoenaed to produce said Emails.
I wonder what would happen if you, or I were subpoenaed by Congress or a judicial body to produce our computers and rather than comply we wiped our hard drives and refused to produce the info?

Nixon and Hillary broke the law. Both thought they were above the law. The difference is the media hated Nixon and the media loves Hillary. Nixon paid the price but Hillary will get away with it. Hillary has both a media shield and a sycophant shield. Nixon or Hillary didn't surprise me. What surprises me is the foolish sheep that defend Hillary. The poor souls don't realize how stupid they look and sound on TV. Hillary is now smart enough to keep her mouth shut and letting her loony supporters run interference for her.

    Hardly..........

If you work for a company, are your private eMails sent from the company account private? She turned her "private" eMail server into a State Dept sever by conducting State Dept business on it. She skirted the Federal Records Act and hid records from FOIA requests.

A public official concealing records from the public scrutiny guaranteed by the FOIA IS a crime. As far as I can see Hillary has disqualified herself from being President by concealing records from FOIA requests at the very least.

Let me ask you if a CEO of a Wall St investment firm used private eMails exclusively for company business, should those be off limits when investigating corporate wrong doing? Who gets to decide what's company business vs private eMails.....the CEO's lawyers?
