Twelve million people participated throughout Russia in its Immortal Regiment March. Pictures of family members or relatives who died in the 'Great Patriotic War' are held up during the march. I don't know if this is something that has been going on every year, or if it is something new, but it is lovely to keep the memory of those who sacrificed so much alive. And it's also smart, to remind the younger generations the tragedy of war. MOSCOW (Sputnik) Some 12 million people have participated Saturday in the "Immortal Regiment" march throughout Russia, according to head of the similarly-named regional patriotic movement Nikolai Zemtsov. In Moscow Russian President Vladimir Putin joined a column of people carrying portraits of their relatives who fought in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45. Because of her charm and looks, she has become quite famous...especially in Japan and with our poster Moi. She was in Kiev during the Maidan and has some horrific tales about it. To free herself from the junta she went back home to Crimea, and was the only one brave enough to accept the position as prosecutor. There has been at least one attempt on her life. According to Merkel 24/7 lying Mainstream 'Medias' which hate native Germans and serve only US - Interests it were only - 150-200 thousands like here in Focus, one of the biggest MM in Germany. Therefore most of brainy people do not believe Merkel Propaganda 'Medias' which are called as 'Lügenpresse' - Lying Medias in Germany. http://www.focus.de/politik/ausland...er-nazi-deutschland-kommentar_id_6414200.html
After avoiding the Victory Day commemoration, German Chancellor Angela Merkel did visit Moscow to participate in the wreath laying at the tomb of the unknown soldier. All well and good so far. However, she then took the opportunity of a news conference with Putin to deflect away from the theme of the day and talk her (*)(*)(*)(*) about Ukraine. Remarks like this were completely uncalled for given the occasion for her visit. I'm sure her boorish behavior wasn't lost on Putin or Russians in general. What a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)! I'm fairly certain the prevailing attitude in Russia towards her remarks could be distilled down to "(*)(*)(*)(*) Merkel" and who could blame them? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.wsj.com/articles/merkel-...ne-conflict-during-visit-to-moscow-1431273705 Ms. Merkel flew to the Russian capital a day after she skipped Moscows massive military parade in honor of the 70th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany. She joined Mr. Putin at a military wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier outside the Kremlin wall, walking behind slowly marching Russian soldiers. In a news conference after the two spoke for about two hours, Ms. Merkel described the immensity of Nazi crimes in Eastern Europe but also insisted Mr. Putins Russia was itself breaking international law in Ukraine. We have sought more and more cooperation in recent years, Ms. Merkel said of Russia and Germany. The criminal and illegal annexation of Crimea and the warfare in eastern Ukraine has led to a serious setback for this cooperation.
I always trusted Merkel, and I think Putin did as well, but I'm wondering now if she was being deceptive all along. I think she has a century's old animosity towards Russia, and will not accept them unless they're humiliated and begging for a hand out.
Oh then a parade commemorating a victory over Nazism, is the same thing as a Nazi parade. Interesting!
I have to make a phone call to our Good Friend Vladimir Vladimirovic ... First of all, honor, glory and respect to the memory of the Soviet Warriors who died to defeat Nazism. Then, when I will make that phone call to Vladimir Vladimirovic I will ask him why his cartel doesn't carry a name ... About Natalja [why do you dare to use a Western spelling? Is this a mistake revealing something about you?], well, she is very famous also in Italy ... we are organizing charter flights to go on holiday in Crimea [I cannot guess why ...].
That was the most grandiose celebration ever. Have never seen so many people in Krasnaya street in my own city Krasnodar. It was crowded with people carring flags and photos of their ancestors - so called Immortal Regiment, the public action when people take photos of Great Patriotic War veterans - their relatives - and walk kinda instead of them along the streets on Victory Day parade. I had to work yesterday but had some time to see the parade, so I approached the place near the city hall where some military vehicles stood waiting to start movement, but there was so many people, no good view, besides to get into the area everybody had to cross police check-point, so I decided not to go there. But when I walked away police started to remove people from road and they shouted: "Free the road, military vehicles are going!" Where is America in all these observances. Taking the role of a petulant Child. It sucks America did not have some military parade representing "US" and not RepubloCrats looking for disputes with Russia. Moi r > g View attachment 35176 Chose a "good" war!
I never knew Natalja was translated that way. Probably in Italian but not in English. The pronunciation is probably more correct as well since the name is really Natasha.
Natalia(Natalja) and Natasha are the same names, like William and Bill. Duh PS Actually the closest pronunciation of her name would be Nataliya PS2 She is a despicable traitor
No, the name is really Nataliya, Natasha is diminutive to her country where she was a citizen - Ukraine
Probably they wud celebrate it everyday - the finish of the every next war they started ( even they didn't finish many - they are on going). This parade shows clearly who was the winner (and who proud, thankful, glorious to veterans) and who was just doing business over it. Who celebrates the date of some extra income?
The bloody dictator who fear own people. The democratically elected leaders of free world, who enjoy with love and trust of their citizens.
Maybe you confuse all the new war monuments and not just the observance of the last "Good War" ending. All those "Not At War, War" vets will rally 20 years after their activity, that they deserve a monument too. We dearly need an omnibus war monument because of space consideration. Moi
It seems even brainwashing propaganda does not help to "democratic" leaders, as they fear their people.
