nothing is debunked until someone debunks it.

saying that one's Christianity is based on their actions, shows zero understanding of Christianity, and official church teachings. And the Bible.

Im a Jew, and even I know you are wrong.

I am Overlord of the Universe.......it is true because I said it, I do not actually have to do anything to prove it.

And you still cannot debate me.

Would you consider a man who drinks all day, does drugs, beats his wife, and molests his children a Christian just because he said he was one?

Or would you look at his actions and say, no, he probably is not a Christian?

    Think about it.

What happened to your "Florida is mostly Christians so they must have done it" post?

Yeah, I saw your post and now it's gone.

oh, so a Muslim who doesn't drink, do drugs, beat his wife, and gives charity, is going to Heaven, according to Christianity?

    lol!!!

You can beseech them all day to be rational, but that's asking the impossible of the incapable, I fear.

no Christian priest, pastor, reverend, minister, will tell you that your identity as a Christian is based on your actions.

    not one.

Which to me is definitely proof that knowing right and wrong doesn't come from some stupid rules written out by goat herders 2,500 years ago. Either you know right and wrong, or you don't. Like an internal moral compass. Atheists and Agnostics have the same moral compasses as anyone else. I'm extremely disappointed in all the child abuse nowadays (sexual, verbal, psychical). 2015 and we are on our way to Mars; but humans still don't know right from wrong? Evolution is taking too long......

What makes you think that any of the Crusaders were Christian?

    - - - Updated - - -

Then, according to you, it does not matter what you do, if you want to call yourself a Christian then you are one?

    um......wow

No because your actions do not matter according to some.

You can do whatever you want and still be a Christian.

I suppose we could give them this quote to shut them up but I hate making people feel bad.

    Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

...so according to that logic, once a Christian breaks any of the Commandments, they are immediately non-Christian. That sounds fair.

That's not the way I remember it when I went to catholic school. If you break a commandment you go to confession and then do what the priest tells you to do. Being excommunicated is more complicated.

    Christians sin all the time.

But we ask for forgiveness and make an effort to change our ways.

Preying on children does not happen easily, it takes effort, its not like getting drunk in a bar and cheating on your wife for one night.

Let me try to put it in context for you.

Getting in a fit of rage and killing your neighbor can happen with a Christian, being a paid assassin cannot.

So if a child molester asks for forgiveness they are not afforded the same chance to repent? They are denied and considered no longer a Christian?

Re-read the quote from Matthew I put up.

Asking for forgiveness is only part of it, you must also be trying to improve. Had one of these men asked for forgiveness and help when they first googled child porn then yes, they could be a Christian. Having continued with their fantasy, ignoring Gods will and what they know is right, then God walks away from them and they are no longer a Christian.

Haha it really doesn't work that way man. You don't get to distance yourself from those who might cast a negative light by association on your chosen religion by saying that people of your chosen religion wouldn't do that. That's bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Most Christians don't follow the book word for word like you'd think they would be supposed to if they wanted to call themselves real Christians.

DO you? Do you follow every command, every passage in the book, or do you pick and choose what you'll follow and what you won't and then call whatever that ends up being Christianity?

Personally, I don't think that the muslims and Christians arrested in this sting means that every muslim and Christian is guilty of the crime. I believe that people who actually committed the crimes or helped those who did are the ones guilty of it. You don't have to defend Christianity by pretending Christians aren't Christians because they did something bad, Christianity isn't JUST those people. But if you are going to take it personally, you'd better put your thinking cap on and come up with something better than what you wrote because that was just pure stupidity.

This statement is both true and false.

Isabella I was betrothed to Humphrey IV when she was 9 and he was 17. They were not officially married until two years later.

    It isn't okay for a 19 y.o. to marry an 11 y.o., but it's more acceptable than a 53 y.o. marrying a 6 y.o.

Most people who claim to be Christians are not actually Christians....God tells us about this and how few will actually get into Heaven.

I do not pay much attention to the Bible but I do walk with God the best way I can. People forget, as most "Christians" do, that being true to your faith is not about following what we think the Bible tells us, its about your personal walk with God and if you are honest and true then He will guide you.

The fight is not ours, it is Gods...as He tells us, but we have to let him do the fighting. I honestly do not care one way or the other whether the Flood happened or if Moses parted an ocean.........it is irrelevant to being a Christian.
