I'm not disputing any of that. Where's the proof that the "liberals" are responsible for it? The Democratic Party is not synonymous "Liberal Ideology."

What woman wouldn't lock her doors or clench her purse tighter when this is walking towards her? They look like a group of outstanding gentlemen...

None of that is proof of a darn thing. I'll even make it easier for you by admitting the corrupt Democratic Party apparatchik, in Chicago if not the entire state, is criminal. But none of that proves they are liberals. Criminals; perhaps but not liberals. Evidence please?

This is what we need to get back in America... Some Mafia gangs. They did it right and they kept things clean and only went after the slow leaks.

I seriously don't know why they can't round up these gangs under RICO. They fit the definition.

I have been saying this as well. Streets would be safer if the actual Mafia came back. They would clean this (*)(*)(*)(*) right up.

You can keep waiting. Are all conservatives Republican? I'd say so, but are all liberals Democrats? At one time, perhaps, no more. You need to read more things such as; "The Liberal Apologies for Obama’s Ugly Reign" and "Obama says he willing to defy Democrats on his support of Trans-Pacific Partnership" to find out these attacks against Obama (and Hillary) are coming from the liberals/progressives. I gave up on the Democrats shortly after Obama became president. Voted for him in 2008, not again...nor will I be voting for Hillary Clinton. The Democrats are loath to admit it but they have a schism on their hands.

Oh I get it, the new liberal is whoever isn't going to be accountable for whatever disasters they create, that's a neat trick...

End the war on drugs and these shootings would be down by 90% if not more.

What's unfortunate though, is that in the middle of all the crossfire(and sometimes these shootings occur in the daytime) you'll have innocent children, mothers, etc walking around or playing who become "casualities" of this street warfare.

No they wouldn't. They'd find new avenues of easy money to make.

A small few would thats why the numbers would drop. Nothing out there is more lucrative than selling drugs. It's the perfect business.

They'd steal more. In a city like Chicago with strict gun laws, no one would be able to stop them.

Stealing is hardly profitable, unlike selling drugs. The reason many choose the criminal path its because how easy it is.

Yet thefts still happen with alarming frequency despite the easier sell of drugs. Work is hard. That's why they call it work. Selling singles and packs of cigarettes to avoid brutal taxes is lucrative. There are any number of avenues to make illicit money which is easier than actually doing a 9 to 5.

Of course, there are a lot of murders happening in our country that are nothing more than gang on gang violence or "showing that (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) who's boss after the way he looked at me at the Burger King this morning...."

If the Federal Government and the States made drugs legal, there would still be an illegal element out there in the form of a black market that would undercut the legitimate business and their price/tax structure.

How's the black market working out for alcohol? bootleggers still slaughtering each other? This black market regarding drug is nonsense anyway, drug users want quality product, where are they more likely to get that from? a legitimate business or an idiot trying to make a quick profit?

The cartels won't disappear and they won't be the suppliers of the legalized product. They will continue to sell the product people can afford and this product won't be inferior to that which will be produced legally. The cartels have already started to muscle in on legal growers here in the US.

If you want to know how it will break down, it'll be a lot like tobacco. It's legal. And they tax the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of it. It's estimated that it's a $50 billion global enterprise and that 12% of all cigarettes sold are illegal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illicit_cigarette_trade#Illicit_trade_around_the_world

Legalizing drugs won't muscle out the illegal activity that will always be there. Amsterdam legalized marijuana and hashish and they found that most of the supplies for their legalized businesses were being provided by organized drug cartels. Why? Because they could buy their drugs for far cheaper than their legal government taxed suppliers.
