Once off my patio boat in a secluded cove in a river. Never again though, seen too many episodes of River Monsters.
Yeah on a first date... was a night time bike ride around a lake and river, went skinny-dipping in the river. It was too dark to see anything though. Many times in hot tubs, not sure if that counts though.
I have a pool and wake up early (as in still dark). I will often take a dip before work and simply remove my bathrobe (I sleep nude) and dive right in. Nobody to see me and no one to biatch.
I do it in my pool all the time. I have a private backyard. If someone sees me in my own backyard, they are looking over a 7ft block fence. At my house, you will hardly see either me or my husband with clothes on. Inside or outside.
I was in the Air Force. We have Kennan "Keyhole-class" (KH) reconnaissance satellites that have been orbiting the Earth for more than 30 years. There are several of these overhead at any given time. "What can they see?" They have an imaging resolution of half a foot, which means they can see something half a foot or larger on the ground from 200 miles up. I always envisioned a bored satellite operator peering down on some unsuspecting sunbather...not that this happens of course, it's just the technology exists to make it feasible. However...for all of our peace of mind, they can't hover over a given area or provide real-time video of a single location...and the images are black and white. I'm still somewhat paranoid of them.
Not only have I, I took part in a Guinness certified world record for the most naked people in one pool at one time.
Many times in private pools or in the Abacos... I was cured of doing so when I jumped in the pool in the back yard after turning out the lights and there was a snake in there with me.
Only in that awkward movement when you jack knife into a pool and realize you haven't tied the draw string tight enough. . .
...and the bikini would have protected you from the snake how? As for skinny dipping, sure. Done it and don't mind doing it again. Nothing like swimming naked in the ocean...where it is allowed.
If they want to look in on my naked body, then by all means, go for it. Several years ago, at my old house, I was standing in my backyard naked talking with my husband(who was also naked). A guy walking down the back alley, heard us talking. He came up to the fence and popped his head over and started talking to the two of us. The only way to look over was for him to stand on his tip-toes or to stand on something. Either way, he said a couple of things then went back to walking.
