    .

When campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination, none of the true ailments of the U.S. can be addressed.

Forty years of income inequality and wage stagnation do NOT exist. If a Republican hopeful even hints at such a problem, he (or she) risks the wrath of conservatives and neoconservatives that swear by all that is Holy that “trickle down” has been an overwhelming success.

This leaves the GOP hopefuls their promise to repeal “Obamacare”, which grows more popular each day with average Americans. This is especially true among right-wingers that have faced catastrophic medical issues and not been wiped out financially, as would have been the case before the ACA.

Right-wingers have long supported Republicans' efforts to replace revenue lost to their tax cuts for the very rich, by targeting the Social Security Trust Fund and Medicare. However, this policy has become less attractive to right wing “Baby Boomers” reaching retirement age. Many lost much of their retirement savings to the Great Republican Recession. Whether they blame the recession on the Republicans or the Democrats, “boomers” coming of age want the Social Security and Medicare benefits they paid decades to receive. (Isn't it funny, when the benefit cuts hit conservatives and neoconservatives in the pocketbooks, the cuts aren't such a great idea.)

Attacking women's rights and the rights of the LGBT community have also lost a lot of steam as most average Americans have moved on from these two issues.

Donald Trump is mining the racism and other hatreds of the extreme right for all they are worth, which is leaving the rest of the GOP field with the same old, worn-out policies and promises of the past four decades, and war, war, war. Except to the die hard right-wingers, these unsustainable Republican principles and policies are getting to be a hard sell.

I agree, but you forgot to mention foreign policy.

They're going to have to do a two-step to get away from the Bush administration's mess of Iraq and Afghanistan.

So according to the OP the republicans can never, ever win the WH again.

I guess they should just disband the party and go home then huh?

Trump represents a division of the GOP that began in 02ish with the Tea Party movement. It is a slim divide between economic reformists and antiquated social establishementarianism. Which my spell check tells me isn't a word yet. Regardless, the GOP has to decide if it wants to bring to light the social OR economical issues of minorities if it wishes to continue as a political force in America.

Not if it was done properly...…

Here is a problem..... and a possible solution... that can unite humanity. The world highest tides occur in Canada's Bay of Fundy between Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the State of Maine.

The difference between low tide to high tide near where I live in Nova Scotia is only a little over one meter.

Near Truro, N. S. and Moncton, N. B. the difference between low tide to high tide is fifteen to seventeen meters.

If ocean levels rose by an average of thirty centimetres would high tides be up by 4.5 meters along parts of the Bay of Fundy? The way the Bay of Fundy is shaped it tends to FUNNEL tidal waters.

    30 cms x 15 = 450cms or 4.5 meters.

There are 143,000 acres of very productive farmland along the Fundy that are protected by dikes. This land is arguably the most vulnerable land in the world to the threat of rising ocean levels?

EVERY CUBIC METER OF OCEAN WATER THAT IS DESALINATED AND ADDED TO THE WATER TABLE OF JORDAN, will NOT be on top of New Orleans, New Jersey, parts of Florida, islands in the Caribbean, Bangladesh, The Netherlands or those 143,000 acres along the Bay of Fundy.

Quoting an ancient Islamic prophecy about the deserts of the Islamic nations being turned green in the "last hour"....... which corresponds well with Isaiah chapter 35....... and taking another look at President Lincoln's monetary policy that saved American taxpayers FOUR BILLION DOLLARS IN INTEREST PAYMENTS....... might just do for those two steps!????

We can actually afford to invest heavily in turning deserts green....... it could be the least expensive way to protect New Orleans from rising ocean levels......…

The Sahara Forest Project...and saving New Orleans and Florida from rising oceans!

Did you know that there is an Islamic prophecy that the Islamic desert regions would be turned green in the latter days?????

And each day I read about Sanders creeping up on Hillary...... Perhaps the Libs should worry more about their own house and who will snatch Hillary from the jaws of defeat.

Why didn't Hillary visit the recent Netroots Convention?

She was afraid of being booed off the stage as happened the last time she ran in 2008.

Progressives and Liberals are holding their noses when it comes to Hillary's lies and lack of charm.

Are you kidding? Obama's "foreign policy" has been nothing short of a disaster. He is a total failure in oh so many ways.

I have somebody in mind who I feel has the courage and chutzpah to lead the Democratic Party out of her less than spectacular attitude.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/elect...on-brinkley-v-p-2016-presiden-usa-2024-a.html

Dannion Brinkley for V. P. in 2016 and President of the USA in 2024.

Two time near death experiencer Dannion Brinkley has no idea that I am doing this….. but I do believe that when he eventually reads this discussion he will at the minimum seriously consider my offer.

I believe that his Twilight Brigade is one of the most seriously cool charities that has recently been created in the United States.

    http://www.dannion.com/the-twilight-brigade/
    The Twilight Brigade

A pretty major motion picture about his life was produced starring Eric Roberts.

......I am of the opinion that what Mr. Dannion Brinkley was shown about the future of the Middle East, along with his background in the military, uniquely prepare him to become Vice President and later on President of the United States.

How so? Rather than blathering platitudes, be specific… What particular aspect of his foreign-policy has been a "disaster"?

Considering the fact that he has been able to wind down the absolute mess in the middle east that Bush left behind – and get bin Laden, to boot – he has done a pretty good job of restoring credibility to the United States.

Republicans have way too much of an itchy trigger finger when it comes to foreign-policy, just take a look at the idiotic response from the GOP over the Iran deal.

Given that the OP has never illustrated the least grasp of what is actually wrong with this country as shown by his constant yapping about income inequality which has been created by the very government progams and policies he so loves.
