There is a difference Margot. A Muslim majority means Israel would cease to exist as a Jewish state, since it would then fall under Islamic laws and institutions. This is what Israel objects to and it's understandable. This doesn't excuse though Israel's cruelty to the Palestinians.

Over the years they have become more and more so, and what have they gained other than losing their own humanity? It certainly hasn't given them security or peace. It's a situation that is not going to change unless there is a change in their 'hearts'...on both sides.

Did the Israelis offer compensation for their homes and lands, because if they did then they should have taken it and the problem would have ended...I should think. I know when Christians were ethnically cleansed by Muslims whether it was in Egypt, Cyprus, Istanbul, Kosovo, etc., no one ever compensated them and yet their hatred is less than that of the Muslims.

In the larger debate over the conflict in the area, I see people on both sides approving behavior they condemn from the other. If Israel/Palestine are upset that the other is killing innocent people, they have to stop killing innocent people too. You can't be upset at someone else for doing the same thing you're doing.
