We the American people really feel our vote matters but in reality it doesn't at all. I wonder how many folks believe this. i used to think it did but it doesn't. Maybe I'm wrong. Share what you think.

Of course it counts. It's just that there are some hundreds of millions of other votes that also counts. Does your vote matter though? No, not really.

Sorry but there are LOTS of elections in our country in which the total vote is in the thousands and even in just the hundreds. Many decided by less than 100 votes.

And those elections lead to who gets elected in the big races ultimately.

Care to explain? We're not putting folks down. We're trying to wake folks up.

Half of US citizens? History was about what a majority of a society believed or was talking about too collectively (in this time that is politics and terror)

No they elect Congressmen and mayors and councilmen and tax collectors and sheriffs and judges and on and on and on a myriad of elected officals in less than even statewide elections. The presidential elections which happen every 4 years are not the only elections in this country nor the only ones affected by possible voter fraud.

But that being said even in a Presidential election in Florida 2000, the closest election in US history after all the court cases and the matter was settle the vote difference was less than 400 votes, there are over 600 voting precincts in Florida so just one fraudulent vote in just 2/3's of the precincts could have changed the ENTIRE outcome.

Or go back to Kennedy over Nixon, the race could very well have been determined by voter fraud under Mayor Daily in Chicago.

    Close states[edit]
Margin of victory less than 5% (256 electoral votes):

    Hawaii, 0.06%
    Illinois, 0.19%
    Missouri, 0.52%
    California, 0.55%
    New Mexico, 0.74%
    New Jersey, 0.80%

    Of course it matters.

How do you think the electors are released?

It is done (usually) per the popular vote. The electors can choose not to follow the choice of the popular vote, as the Founders intended, but that has only happened twice that I can recall. Usually they go to the side the voters have chosen.

Lots of myths put out about the electoral college that simply are not true.
