From what I gather, there are about two thousand Russian advisers in Latakia to help with the new arms shipment and with logistics. For troops to be on the ground, they must get permission from the Duma, and Putin has not asked for them.

In July US Sec. of Defense Carter said the US successfully trained sixty Syrian fighters. But more recently Gen. Lloyd Austin said that out of all of them, only nine individuals were fighting ISIS so it seems the rest of them got lost in the desert somewhere...maybe even joined Al Nusra or ISIS?

But then voila, all those missing men appeared suddenly and miraculously out of the desert when Russia started its bombing campaign...complaining about their grounds being hit, and their commanders killed.

Hmmm, maybe the media should thank the Russians for finding them, I mean they could have been roaming the desert forever.

Now comes the best part — later today the Pentagon confirmed that Russian planes didn't hit any Syrian opposition forces. Of course Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the same thing, stating that the earlier media claims were false, but when did Western media listen to him?

Israel can be pretty goofy and are known to screw stuff up on time, sometimes on purpose(sabotage) and sometimes plain old incompetence. They are always neurotic and trigger happy at the best of times, probably honed from years of fighting toddlers and babies. Very able opponents. What if by some chance Israel happened to shoot down a Russian plane in some cocaine fueled ‘mistake’. What then?

I wouldn't worry about Germany becoming overly extreme; I could imagine them tightening their border control a bit and becoming less welcoming to new arrivals, though, and that really would be prudent.

That would be a dangerous situation for the Balkan nations. They have been over run by migrants for years, with the intent of changing their ethnic composition and restoring the former Ottoman Empire.

Really? So you know more than me now? I was in Damascus for more than a year. My home in suburbs of Damascus was destroyed by terrorists who invaded that area without invitation.

Alawite militias? Which? My brother is in Syrian Army protecting Syria and he is not Alawite.

Assad killed more Syrians than ISIS? Assad only kills those who are extremists and oppose the legitimate army. I can also say Americans killed more people in Iraq than ISIS. That is a fact

That's no good. I can't help but fear a new "final solution" in response to such an effort.

Here is an excerpt from a Greek source on what is going on...and which I believe is a bit more accurate and informative than the main stream medias.

...the Syrian army have alerted residents to evacuate areas in Choms, Hama, Salam to make the first ground operations in the area.

With four huge speakers on a truck they are warning residents to evacuate immediately: "Attention, attention, for your own sake leave this area and go where indicated by the Syrian army. If necessary they will provide first aid. "

This is the border between the territories controlled by the Syrian government and the Islamists. At night Russian forces bombed the headquarters and weapons warehouses and broke the communication between the Islamist groups in the geographic triangle Hama-Homs-Salaam.

Recently 5,000 Islamists from Al-Nusra Front and ISIS have joined forces in the region. Aim of the Russian company is to free the area connecting the two major cities of Hama and Homs, which has been occupied by Islamists for three years and to free the villages and cities.

I'd like to get all on board and crush the vermin. The more countries with skin in the game, the fewer are left in the peanut gallery. Seems like the Russkies are in. Seems like the Israelis are out.

Israel and ZOG have their prints all over this so called civil war in Syria. Israel have gone as far as to strike Syria, and they weren’t aiming for ‘ISIS’ let’s put it that way. Israel and ZOG are de facto allies of the entity known as ISIS, while pretending to fight them on the back end.

Why is russia claiming to be fighting ISIS but is attacking everyone BUT them? Seems like putin/russia is supporting ISIS, since they only brought in a handful of war planes.

Israel's prints have been all over this from the get go. It's in their interests not to allow a secular moderate nation in that region. They do not want normal relations with stable nations, they want to destroy and dominate nations. Partly born by the inherent envy that they have of any kind of stability, partly born by long term expansionist interests. View attachment 38295

Israel hate Syria and Assad because they are a secular moderate nation in the region. Syria was a lovely country before all of this, and yet this whole time the one and only logical solution is the one thing that the laughably called 'West' have not done - support Assad and his army against ISIS then, I mean, if they REALLY wanted to defeat them that is precisely what they would do, since only the Syrian army have the men on the ground. But no. Instead while talking about defeating ISIS, ZOG and their Western goyim puppets have been enabling ISIS and conspiring to topple Assad.

All that matters really is that they are fighting Muslims far away from their country. That never ends well.

Why would I accept Christians invading Muslim lands?

There is no reason at all why this should not be a short and relatively easy thing for Russia. So called ISIS have zero defence against air strikes. They have finite bases. If done efficiently they could destroy the fabric of what they have in a month. You do realise that Russian aren’t putting troops on the ground right? So, what are ISIS going to do – fire a catapult?

Its like trench warfare.
One trench being the cities/towns, and the other trench is up in the air.

Oh, right.
That would be like Muslims invading Egypt or Libya or Morocco, etc.
No muslim should ever let the people they conquered and the children they trained in Islam revert back to what they were for centuries before 666 AD, when the Koran was produced.

That would be stupid.
