I've been following this thread for the last couple of days and it's exhausting. Refugees are a threat, no they are not. Terrorists have posed as refugees, no they have not. My religion is better than yours, no it's not. Exhausting.
Let all the refugees in and give them all a AR-15 (because this is America) and tell them to go fight for their new country (because the only way to stop a bad refugee with a gun is with a good refugee with a gun.
It worked during the Civil War with Irish immigrants.

Over 3 million refugees since the '80's responsible for 0 attacks on American soil, even taking them in from Iraq & Afghanistan since the start of the war. It's easier for terrorists to come here as tourists or with student visas. These are facts, and they are pesky things.

Try explaining the Jesus codes on US weapons used against Afghanistan and Iraq, two Muslim nations that never attacked the United States and why Muslims shouldn't believe that our invasions weren't Christians attacking Muslims.

    http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-mi...bed-secret-jesus-bible-codes/story?id=9575794

Yes, we can falsely state that this was just one "Christian" that turned these two wars into religious wars but it happened nonetheless and many of those that fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan were motivated at least in part for religious reasons.

The members of ISIS are fighting other Muslims and the overwhelming rationale behind this fighting is the tyranny of the governments unrelated to religion. When Osama bin Laden was alive his "complaint" was tyranny and not religion. He used the religion to justify the terrorism in response to the tyranny but it was tyranny and not religion that was the motivation for the acts of terrorism.

While off topic this reflects the delusional thinking of conservatives. The ever increasing "welfare" state is direct result of the failures of capitalism in the United States to provide adequate compensation for the workers and that has absolutely nothing to do with President Obama. It has to do with failure of under-regulated capitalism that, in the words of Adam Smith, is based solely upon the self-interests of the business owner (i.e. greed).

Now I'm a capitalist but I also understand the necessity for regulations to mitigate the greed of the capitalist owner of enterprise that results in under-compensation for the workers.

Refugee status is also subjected to extensive vetting prior to the visa being issued which doesn't happen to the same extent with tourist or student visas. Refugees are the least likely to be possible terrorists sneaking into the country because of the extensive process required before they'll be granted refugee status.

That doesn't mean the American perception of these muslims should by sympathetic. ISIS made it clear that they will operate in the US and we will never know who they are.

Do the math. My mind's made up and won't change. When a group of people say that they have operators in your country that you don't know...everyone's a suspect. Just like the Russians during the cold war.

Which is precisely the problem. Failures of geopolitical schemes and foreign policy, primarily from the carter/reagan/bush i years, led us to the pinnacle of ISIS we are at today. People like to blame Obama, even GWBII for ISIS, the reality is ISIS started in 1999. It's roots go even deeper.

The marginalization of these people, the VICTIMS, primary victims, of terrorist attacks, does not give you, or anyone else a license to discriminate.

Yes, it most certainly does give us a license to discriminate. They TOLD us that they are here. They TOLD us they will not reveal themselves.

You can either assume NONE of them are suspect...or all.

Them American perception that muslims sympathize with terrorists is growing. Especially after the French attacks and the ISIS revelations. Sorry it hurts your feelings.

How about non-Muslim countries like Belgium where the Paris lunatics were based? How about the whole world?

Hurt feelings? I am not the one who has a fear complex, so my feelings remain unhurt. The facts are the facts; politicians YOU Supported, and even CHAMPION as a GOP ICON are the primary cancers that caused this ISIS/Jihad debacle. They are the absolute catalyst. Inflamed even more now by our absolute refusal to admit the issue lay squarely in Saudi Arabia, while the government pitches us ghosts like Iran and Afghanistan as the hotbed of terrorist activities.

If you are going to blame all of the muslims in the world, and eye them with suspsicion, then don't get angry with me when I do it to christians, or call me an anti-semite when I do it to Jews.

All three are equal opportunity brainwashers. Just depends on which holy book you decide to follow, and which language God speaks to you in when you decide it's ok to blow up/maime/torture people in his name.

Can governors who pander to them actually keep refugee families out of their states?

No more that can governors wishing to prevent firearms flowing into their states from those with more permissive gun laws.

Meanwhile, the xenophobes are quite possibly being duped and manipulated by their irrational fears by ISIS:

Army soilder, how did Obama commit treason? I mean look at it this way Bush committed treason the moment he stole the election with the help of the supreme court during the 2000 election cycle, if we totally being non partisans. Since he right then became a budding dictator if he had no other options to keep him in check.

Also this is all a political game no matter, how you spin this is just like when we turned away a ship full of Jewish political refugees that had visas in hand off the coast of forlida.

Before we go anywhere mr. judgemental, what politicians did I support? "YOU support" is your statement. Please cite your sources for my political support. Either you are new here, or you don't read many of my posts.

Ah, playing this game, are we? You mention treason charges for Obama. I don't need to cite any sources, your bias has been made extremely clear about where your loyalties lay.

Mr. Judgmental? Hilarity does ensue. Pot, kettle? You're smearing and labelling an entire, vast section of the human race based on absolutely non-fact and nonsense, toeing a line pitched almost universally by the right wing here in the US.

Don't like the facts? Tough, chew harder. I can't simply ignore the fact that the vast majority of victims of these terrorists are muslims. I can't simply ignore the fact that we have almost universally republican governors willing to break the law in refusing refugees fleeing from a holocaust created primarily by the geopolitical failures of primarily republican presidents.

I can't ignore the truth. It's easier to do so, but I am a slave to it.

    Ignorance, after all, is bliss.

Where did I mention treason charges for Obama? Please cite this.

Are you referring to when I said that if one were to charge Bush with Treason, they would have to charge Obama too?

Because that's a lot different than calling for treason charges. That's just saying that the US can't be hypocritical.

You base your posts off blatant lies and zero sources. You claim I support these GOP candidates to boot! You are not a debater. You're a liar.

And now you resort to petty name calling? Blatant lies? Zero sources? I've posted sundry articles specifically backing up my claims - about christian terrorism, about the roots of ISIS, about the failures and TREASON of that malicious, bandit scum Reagan, about the failures of foreign policy extending from Carter, expanded by Reagan, extended by Bush, and the implications for the ME. I've posted various lists that expound terrorist attacks by the CHRISTIAN RIGHT, and here we are, debating because YOU believe YOU have a right to discriminate against the victims of the vast, VAST majority of terrorist attacks - other muslims - because of an absolute fear complex.

No, sir. I don't post citations or sources. Never, not once, have I done so. What I do do, however, is I specifically find the hipocrisy in primarily right wing supporters, and expose it for the BS that it is. I cannot apologize for it, because it is here, stark, plain for all to see. It's plain in this thread - you're willing to discriminate against any refugee because they're muslims and muslims are terrorists - yet you won't do the same to christians.

    It's sadly hilarious.

Army soilder, no you said that Bush committed no treason while Obama has committed it. I asked since when has Obama committed treason against the states for one he never stole the elections with the help of the Supreme Court, made free speech zone, nor lied his way into a war that we couldn't afford. I am a Libertarian and even I can see your being partisan towards the right.

How is having a predominantly white country "juxtaposed to our political ideology"? Are you referring to progressivism? If so, that's not "our" ideology. That's yours.

Obama becomes more irrelevant every day. He's a lame duck. So are quite a few democrat senators that have supported troop withdrawals and coddling "moderate" muslims.
