EMILYs List has already compiled their list of Republicans they plan to target during next years election. Last June, they placed 15 House Republicans on notice. Now, Planned Parenthood, after months of playing defense, announced their $20 million war against Republicans for 2016 (via CNN): "Extremists made the 2016 election about attacking reproductive rights," Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, who was grilled extensively on Capitol Hill in September, said in a video announcing the effort Tuesday. The group is planning to focus on the White House and Senate races in a few key states, including New Hampshire, Ohio, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The states not only have potentially competitive Senate races, but are also key swing states on the presidential map. The $20 million will be spent on a mix of volunteer and activist organizing in each state and advertising. "Enough is enough," Richards said in the video. "With our supporters, we're launching 'I Vote Planned Parenthood Action.' We'll organize and mobilize to elect lawmakers who are in our corner.".....snip~ http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattve...lans-20-million-war-with-republicans-n2082898 This is why Planned Parenthood needs to have that Federal Funding taken from them. What should be the Republican Response? Should a Couple of Repub billionaires.....Help Cecil the Lyin, in understanding just how damaging they can be to those who use the excuse of that they are out to help women.
PP is a 501c3 non-profit. Seems like the IRS should be investigating PP for crossing the boundary into direct political action.
Not only that, I think CMP should have pressed the issue with Congress to investigate them under the Rico Act. Cecil like her other people. Might have just told on herself.
Many in the GOP caused this backlash from Planned Parenthood with their vile attacks on the organization, so, it will be interesting to see how strong Planned Parenthood is with influencing the 2016 elections.
But there's the very issue though - this is a group that gets government funding. Imagine if a group like the VFW got half a billion annually from the government, and then used tens of millions from its private donations to attack the Democrats?
Every dollar of it paid for by taxpayers. Why can PP politic and still be "non-profit," but churches are banned from involving in elections?
So is that muzzie organization that called for Carson to leave the race for president. You see how far that investigation went, right? If the marxist/sociaist/radicals/racists do it, it's overlooked. Let a conservative hick-up the wrong way, and the DOJ is on them like stink on chit.
PP is merely an extension of looney Left. The body parts scandal has converted many into the 'defund' camp.
But...but...those mammograms! This just confirms what we knew: PP is a pet project for the Democrats, funded explicitly for the party's benefit. It masquerades as some kind of health operation, when a hospital would more than suffice. "Too far away?" Well, that's the PERFECT argument for expansion, isn't it? Goodbye Planned Parenthood, it was nice knowing you.
How does a nonprofit have that money to back any political candidate? Just another reason to defu d them IMO.
Mornin Alucard Correction. PP telling on themselves caused this backlash. Of course you know why PP is jumping off into a political situation and election. As they know Right now. As soon as there is Repub President. They will lose that federal Funding. What they best pray on.....is that the Repub doesn't decide to have his Justice Dept hook them up.
Mornin AN. For some reason PP and Cecil the Lyin thinks their little ordeal is over with. Hence their publicly announcing they will involve themselves into Politics. Before they use to deny how they were getting into political elections. Now they Boldy claim it so. The Repubs should continue on with the investigation. Then this time press the Rico Act and let PP try and defend themselves from that issue, alone. Already they have lost customers. Now go after their donors and start making them publicly known. Then lets see how many want to get off into assisting PP go Political.
Best of luck to planned parenthood. I hope their political activities surrounding abortion don't undermine the wider mission of reproductive health via the other services they provide. Um, nonprofits tend to have money to work with since, you know, they don't exist to generate profits but still bring in money. That money can go towards big exec salaries, or ideally is reinvested into their mission.
Well, PP was quite looney putting out a list of Repubs they will go after. Sounds like a motivation, huh?
Relief! I'm not the only person thinking this. Crossing my fingers hoping a significant amount of people feel the same way.
