2015 Lie of the Year: the campaign misstatements of Donald Trump

Political campaigns are always full of lies. But the supporters of each of the candidates want to hear the lies all candidates spout. Nothing new here.

 

Hillary Clinton is a pathological and national laughing stock.. She lies and lies and tells more lies, stupid lies, lies she gets caught at, and everone knows she's a liar. As the primary PR source for ISIS and given her extreme racism and sexism, but insane statements, she can't possibly win, Republicans are estastic that the nutcases in the Democratic party are going with her, and she'll destroy the Democratic Party.

I predict Germany will determine this election by what will happen to them next year.

Exactly, both owe their heart and souls to corporations, wall street firms, lobbyists, special interests, huge mega money donors. One should not expect less since that is where they get most of their cash. It has been said that there is only one political party in the United States. But it has two wings, a Republican wing and a Democratic wing.

Thus through polar opposite rhetoric, but not actions or governance, they are able to pull the wool over most American's eyes.

The lie of the year was when Hillary Clinton claimed that Donald Trump was aiding and abetting terrorists.

 

Entrenched political factions exist in their own echo chambers. Trump enrages them. He is clearly not part of the ruling bipartisan partnership - hence his popularity. The more they rag on him the more attractive he becomes.

 

It does not matter if Dear Leader Trump lie, cheats, steals, kill the Pope, runs over babies, drops his pants and moons the Congress, farts in Church his supporters will say b " I don't care what Dear Leader does in his personal life he will fix things".

 

Well, to those who believe Fox is 'fair and balanced', I suppose they would appear that way. However, what they are is a very credible source whose opinions are backed by some solid facts. And they don't give a hoot who they are outing for less than truthful statements.

So why is he the leading Republican contender in the primaries? Are there that many stupid people in that party? <snark>

I suggest you go back and read the article in the OP. If you can find Trump's statements deemed to be mostly or completely wrong, you'll need to post it here because nobody else has.

You'd better go back and take a look at what Trump is lying about, to whom he is lying when he makes those ridiculous statements, and the purpose(s) for doing it. There are exaggerations and then there are premeditated, flat-out lies; Trump is the master of the second.

 

No, he's just an incompetent, self-serving and mysoginistic bigot, a liar and a serial bankrupt. Should make for a perfect POTUS, wouldn't you say, given the record of the last Republican in that post?

 

Please explain to me why most democrats are more upset about Trump being a liar than Obama or Hillary. Obama has lied to the American people many times, so has Hillary but the left has no problem with their lies. Why the double standard? You either have a problem with liars or you don't.

 

All politicians lie, and yet people still vote for the bastards. Why is this such a surprise?

Why? Because Trump has made an art form out of it, that's why and is riding his lies and bluster in a quest to become our next president, that's why. As for the rest, part of what the right thinks are "lies" are noting more than their opinions, or mountains made out of molehills. I just don't look at it as a double standard, and that is my opinion.

Anybody can play the semantics game, generalize, or choke a statistic into submission, and both sides do it regularly. The fact that you cannot see this is a glaring example of your own bias.

 

So the OP is trying to make Trump the king of liars of the reigning queen.... Hillary. Trumps got a ways to go even if he lies 10x a day for the next decade to catch up with Hillary.

 

The fact it is owned by a liberal newspaper and influenced by a liberal journalism school is what gave it away. Not much different than the Heritage Foundation which is influenced by the republican party (but obviously not conservative since the republican party has never and will never be an actual conservative organization even though that won't stop them from pretending they are and playing one on the corporate owned media) and rightfully considered 'bias'.

 

Certainly better grounded in reality - as opposed to the spirit world.
