I had no confidence in Coker when he transferred. Even at the beginning of this year, I wanted one of the young guns to play instead of Jake. I'm glad he proved me wrong though.

I think the issue any qb has transferring in is learning a college playbook in a few months. Had he sat behind McCarron the entire time, learning the Bama way of doing things, he would have been ready to take the reigns just as soon as McCarron left.

But same thing that a Golson coming into FSU. He had to learn a very complicated playbook in a short time.

Coker was lucky he had 2 years of eligibility left when he left FSU. Golson only had one.

True, but Coker still looked lost this year in Spring ball and even about half-way though the season.

I thought the Golson to FSU was a hugh mistake. FSU wasn't a good QB away from being a contender. Golson probably hurt more than help.

Sounds like someone has a selective memory. Did I say the SEC sucked or did I reaffirm my opinion that the SEC wasn't the best conference last year, much like they weren't again this year? Can you direct me to the post that you're referencing?

Honestly, I don't pay much attention to what you say here. If I remember it correctly, it was something about the bowl games proving who was the better conference.

Ahhh, that selective memory of yours and your renowned ability to not pay much attention are carving their way to another fine post. If you had to bet money, would you say that I said the bowl games were proof of the SEC sucking, or would you say that I reaffirmed what I had been saying earlier in that thread, that the SEC wasn't the best conference?

You mistake me for someone who gives a (*)(*)(*)(*) about your opinion. It was just some insignificant Ohio State homer babble about SEC teams being over-rated and how they did in bowl games.

For someone who doesn't "give a (*)(*)(*)(*)" about my opinion, misquoting one of my opinions, out of the blue, in a thread I wasn't yet in over a year later seems a bit odd, doesn't it?

I have not quoted you. But feel free to think you are important.

By the way, nice Fiesta Bowl bid.

Fair enough, you didn't directly misquote me, you just misrepresented my opinion. That's fair, I believe? I don't think I'm important, evidently you do.

And I take it where back to the childish Fiesta Bowl nonsense after every post? I had almost thought I had broken you of the childish conversation with me a few weeks back.

What's your point? You admittedly were talking about me while completely misrepresenting my opinions. Should I do that to anyone I would expect they would respond.

It's your contention that I'm rude or childish for confronting you in a public forum when you're talking about me? Is that what you're getting at?

Lighten up dude. Yea, it was somewhat of a reference to a stupid-ass remark from a blind homer fan who doesn't face reality. You aren't the only one making such remarks and this isn't the only site where college sports are discussed, hence the comment, "If the shoe fits..."

I get it, you have an opinion and are passionate about your team. Nothing wrong with that, but don't go off the deep end and think your opinion is fact. Nothing about college football is fact when it comes to deciding who is the best team or even the best conference. There are way too many variables to be anything other than opinion.

See, the thing is I never made such a remark, you just attributed a random remark that I didn't make to me. While I've never claimed my opinion is fact, I do at least hope that opinions which I don't hold are not attributed to me, through either lying or lack of memory.

And bizarrely enough, you attempt to scold me for jumping into a conversation about me (or is it about the collective college football world now?) Earlier you certainly eluded to a certain someone who had made these comments then didn't have anything to say.

And then after misrepresenting my opinion, scolding me for injecting myself into the conversation, you tell me to lighten up.

One can only hope a coworker of yours tells the office a you've said something you didn't, scold you for confronting him, then tell you to lighten up.

Yea, I did have it off by a bit. But I did remember some childish remark about the SEC and bowl games.

Looks like you had it off by more than a bit.

But the general sediment was about Cyrus Jones I believe in that post, referencing a specific play where he avoided contact with Cardale Jones.

    Yea?

Looks like I had the jest of the idea pretty damn close. Not to mention, Cyrus Jones kicked ass this year. Especially in the playoffs.

"SEC west" referred to a division in a conference.

The only team worth a dime in the SEC west was Alabama, at any point in the 2104 season. The Mississippi schools were pretenders the entire year.

Yes, Cyrus Jones played very well this year. Those statements were made last year, when he pulled away from contact with Jones after having the angle on him.

Hmmm.....you really thought Bama was the better team last year? Yet between that belief plus a solid Vegas line that favored Alabama, you still refused my repeated proposals for a friendly straight up bet on the game? That's a bit odd.

Seriously.....just an outside observation as I don't get so riled up over this stuff. You two (you and kronicope) are providing quite the entertainment with your swinging di*ck contest going here. :roflol:

Actually, I do feel Alabama had the better team last year. But these are kids and that's why I don't bet on it.

The Vegas line has little to do with who is the better team. It's all about getting an even number of bets placed. I guess Alabama fans tend to make more bets, so Vegas knows to give points.

I'm not riled up over it, just made a comment with another user. This guy got a little pissy about some (*)(*)(*)(*) he started when his team won last year. :roflol:

Grading position to position, I would say that would be fairly close between Alabama and OSU last year, if you exclude the result of that game. They were probably the two best teams, and position grading it would be very close.
