Pew Research poll finds Obama’s top priorities are literally the last thing Americans care about

Barack Obama’s top priorities for his last year in office are implanting more gun control, passing a Trans-Pacific trade agreement, and fighting so-called “climate change”. But the latest Pew Research poll finds they are literally the last things Americans care about. No, really.

Pew Research created a list of 18 political issues and asked Americans to choose which ones they felt should be a top priority for Obama and his Administration. “Gun policy” and “climate change” placed 16th and 17th. And “global trade” placed 18th – an issue Americans obviously care the least about. The “economy” was number one, with 75% saying Obama should focus on that.

I am afraid he does. The Left thrives on instability, decisiveness and uncertainty. The better to stage a revolution. And what has Obama wrought both domestically and internationally? Instability, decisiveness and uncertainty.

Look for Sanders to increase both in the unlikely event he is elected.

To be fair - for the people who elected Obama - twice - changing climate and the economy are an inextricable set of issues.

    Just say'n.

Climate change is just a big fat scam to tax the poor. Rich corporations and wealthy individuals
don't feel the pinch of increased costs passed on to consumers by companies to pay for climate
    change taxes.

It's curious that your partisan link does not contain a link to the actual poll.

    Well, not really.

Obama's successes keep making the ODS crowd and their party look stupid.

And the ODSers know it. Hence these crying threads.

With a 50% approval rating, Obama is leaving office with an unusually high approval rating. Republicans can't handle this fact. Heads are popping as they downplay his successes with the economy, healthcare, diplomacy, etc.

    You care about the poor?

What I can't handle are lies. Obama's approval rating right now is actually 46%, lower than Clinton's or Reagan's at this time. Bush Jr. the dolt's was lower because his own party started disapproving of his actions since he betrayed most of what he alleged to stand for. People in the GOP tend to have principles and they don't just blindly support their party leadership as readily as libs do.

In the sick, twisted liberal mush known as a brain, making poor people dependent on government for life, and for multiple generations, is caring about them. Conservatives actually think it's better that they work. Can you believe the audacity???

LMAO. What successes? That incompetent fool will go down as one of the worst Presidents in history.

2 things about that opinion piece stand out: 1) No link to the original data, 2) Series of what can only be deemed as straw men.

It's just your standard political hit-piece that caters to a specific group of people.

You guys get scared of search engines when you don't like the information. Ask and you shall receive.

You mean properly stated facts. That Obama's priorities are completely the reverse of the American public's priorities.

It's just more truth that delusional liberals like to ignore. Now hop on your rainbow farting unicorn and ride along.

Americans Are Falling in Love With Barack Obama, Again

    March 22, 2016, 6:00 AM EDT
Presidential approval ratings are soaring. Here’s why.

How history will look upon the Obama presidency is far from clear.
But the American public seems to be getting awfully fond of him.
    Look at this Gallup chart.

Having been mired in the mid-40s for virtually his entire tenure, with more Americans typically disapproving of his performance than approving, Obama’s stock has finally broken out of its range. The move may seem small, but it now stands at 50 percent (for the first time in three years), and recently touched a high of 52 percent."

No, only Bernie Sanders believes that. Unless you use the terminology of "climate" to mean the economic factors within a set market. That terminology, I'll accept. But Bernie's wailing? No, I will not. He's an old man that's out of touch with the rest of the world.

If you read your piece, the last two reasons sum up why: 1) Obama's sadly right, I'd take him over Clinton/Trump as much as I dislike the guy and 2) For the most part, he hasn't embraced any more Stimulus/ACA failures.

As long as he doesn't do anything to make himself more of a failure than he already is, he can comfortably take anywhere from #26-30th place on the Presidential list and get out of our hair, like other mediocre presidents we've had.

Appeal to the Majority is a logical fallacy. That doesn't mean Obama has been successful. That just means a bunch of ignorant fools, and yes the American public is sensationally ignorant, are giving him a better approval rating...at the moment. But a stock market plunge or banking crisis could change that in a heartbeat. His support is very soft, I'd say.

Since you apparently, unlike me, have the magic all-powerful, all-caring creator of the entire universe on your side (you talk to him with "prayer," I assume), then please have said invisible friend in the sky provide us court-room level of evidence of his existence (just his existence, that's all we need), so that I won't go to "hell", and you'll win a Nobel Prize to boot - sounds like a real win/win situation. Should be pretty easy if he cares for us as advertised, and is actually real. Ready, go!

No, I do not believe in a deity with human characteristics. But to be an atheist, one MUST believe that the universe was created by TOTAL RANDOM CHANCE. And that to me is completely illogical if one is being intellectually honest. I think hyperdimensional physics proves that there is an intelligent design based on mathematics. Is this a creator from some religion? No. Obviously the religions are human constructs. But I reject the nihilism of atheism which equates to a meaningless universe. I embrace the mysteries and search for a higher order.
