According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety unlicensed drivers are 5 times more likely to cause a fatal accident, 5 times more likely to drive drunk and 9.5 times more likely to flee the scene of an accident.
In New Mexico 23.4% of all crashes involve unlicensed drivers, in Maine 6.1%.

Yeah...probably. I don't know how many illegals are in this country and I haven't tried to guess. The fact that we have thousands of deaths (not to mention rape, theft, etc.) per year attributable to illegals is statistic enough for me.
You are the one making a specious argument trying to make it seem as if deaths from illegal immigrants is no greater than among the native population.
You haven't shown that and even if you did the "blessings" of illegal immigration don't seem remotely great enough to me to justify an extra 19 thousand dead just in the last eight years.
How I wish I could watch you explain to the parent of a dead child murdered by an illegal how their death was no big deal.

What I'm saying, our laws that are on the books aren't being enforced. If our laws were enforced there would be more Americans alive today intead of beeing six feet under.

I agree. Those Republican farmers and businessmen and homeowners love the cheap labor they can pay under the table and avoid those FICA payments and health care insurance etc. But they are politically influential and they've been able to avoid the law being enforced so they keep their profits high.

And now we have families that have lived here for a generation whose kids were born here and went to school here and are contributing members of society.

 

You can't live where I lived and not know some illegals. I'm not sure you can say the same but as I already pointed out, you don't get to choose who crosses the border illegally (sort of the whole point of legal immigration). But you seem to indicate you prefer to play Russian Roulette with people's lives when you stop monitoring who gets into our nation and not. I think that's the height of callous disregard for the well being of others.
