Here's another way the "pro-lifers" could enforce a ban on abortion..internment camps

    Pretty simple really.

Once a girl starts menstruating, she is immediately sent to a special "sleep-away camp" where she is only let out during the daytime, to go to school, work, or engage in pre-approved social interactions within returnable distance to the camps...or to a camp near her location.

If those activities involve contact with men, she is checked every evening upon her return with an EPT test to see if she is pregnant or not. If not...she continues to enjoy her day-time privileges out of the camp....

BUT, if she gets pregnant, she remains in the camp, under watchful supervision, until she comes to term and parturition has occurred....24 hour supervision....to prevent her from self-inducing an abortion.

If she marries, she must remain in the camps granted conjugal visits with her husband and family visits with any children produced from the marriage. (If this seems overly harsh?....Keep in mind, the high number of married women who have abortions).

Upon proven, lasting menopause and the end of her fertility....the woman is then freed to re-join male society outside the camps.

Simple, easy way to enforce an abortion ban.

So...."pro-lifers"....would you be fir it or agin it....and why? Remember the LIFE of an "unborn baby"....is riding on your answer.

The pro-lifers' stance is sufficiently anti-liberty that I don't think we need to ascribe even more draconian beliefs to them.

Thing is...if you push them on "How do you enforce it?"....you get one of two things-

    1. They don't REALLY want to enforce a ban. So their rhetoric is just self-righteous posturing.

or 2. They dream of a totalitarian police state aimed at women.

There is no third option that is consistant and honest with their rhetoric.

    mea kulpa-

I'm talking of a way for you guys to enforce your ban on abortion....

you're dodging with Alex Jones/Glenn Beck conspiracy theorism.

How about you take that to the "Conspiracy Theories" forum and discuss my OP.

Would you favor internment camps as a means ot making sure women "don't kill their unborn children"?....if not....why not?

All the govt documents point otherwise that anti abortion supporters would be put in them ... do you think pro life people should be put in these camps... if not why not?

Your notion is hypothetical what i posted is a real and terrifying possiblity

No, I don't think any political prisoners should be taken. This is America....land of freedom and free speech and the Bill of Rights. I wouldn't deny that to somebody "pro-life"...though we've seen from some of the male "pro-lifers" here at PF...

they'd be cool with doing it to pregnant women....or even women in general.

And why isn't MY hypothetical as "real and terrifying" as yours? Just because you say so?

It is perfectly possible with a "pro-life" Republican Congress and somebody like Ted Cruz becoming President that abortion could get banned....

then they'd have to ENFORCE that ban....or prove that "pro-life"ism is simply a HOAX, by people posturing.

Okay....HOW do you enforce it...seriously? What steps are "too far" to go to "protect the unborn children"???

Show me the government documents saying women who have abortions are considered a potential enemy of the state.

Btw the list of potential enemies of the state is from a study funded by the d.h.s the document is called

"hot spots of terrorism and other crimes in the united states, 1970-2008"

A google search will bring up the revalent info and a pdf download of the document itself.

The fact thoe who are anti abortion is in that makes my post a real and terrifying possiblity... if you can show a similar document with pro abortion listed i will acknowledge that group at risk... i dont support concentration camps in any form

Is there not enough legitimate criticism that could be made, that you just make up this "dialog" about concentration camps just to disparage people? Really, don't you want people to be able to take you seriously? And after all this, in other threads you guys refer to others as "conspiracy theorists"?

So you don't think "killing children"...makes a person an "enemy of the state"??? What about a Jihadist who plots to bomb a daycare? Is HE an enemy of the state?

I'll reveal "the trick"....it's not about seriously considering that "pro-lifers" will create internment camps for women.....

as on the "bio-chipping women" or "mandatory ultrasounds at airports" threads....

    it's about exposing them.

    EITHER...

    A. They don't SERIOUSLY want to ban abortion and enforce it....it's all just posturing and self-righteous rhetoric.

OR B. They do seriously want to ban abortion and SERIOUSLY enforce that ban.....and I'm seeing just how far they would go to see that ban enforced.

On those other threads? Two male "pro-lifers" have ENDORSED the idea of mandatory ultrasounds at airports (to preven women from "escaping the country to kill their babies") and the use of Governmental monitoring of all women via "bio-chips".

The point....the "pro-lifers" either aren't serious (or havent given any serious critical thought to "What do we do when we win?"....like the dog who chases a car, then when the car stops in the road one day, the dog is confused as to "What do I do when I catch it?"

    OR...they are totalitarian misogynists.

    There is no third option.

You know, taking those Crazy people seriously is an indication that you just might be...... Crazy yourself. Why do you allow yourself to get all worked up about people with an insane position like mandatory ultrasounds and such? What gain for you, really, in laying bait like this?

I'm pro-life, but I'm not into what you say these crazy people want. I'd just prefer that people were more responsible and did'nt get pregnant so often in the first place, you know? Then maybe we would'nt have to kill so many innocent unborn babies for the sake of convenience, but I digress.

In summation, I just don't see how you starting a thread like this is in any way a positive, nor does it engender support for your position. It's much more like you're just pissed off about something but can't quite put your finger on it, so you're trolling for something to complain about.

I disagree. He likes to point out how hypocritical the Anti-Choicers are.....it's part of the abortion debate.

It is fun to watch the crazies avoid all those inconvenient questions even though they believe pregnant women should put up with the inconvenience of an unwanted pregnancy.

I bet everyone would "" prefer that people were more responsible and did'nt get pregnant so often in the first place,"" but after over 10,000 years I don't think human nature will change

    because some thinks it "should".

OK, I get it. You're not really interested in any meaningful discussion on the topic, and you don't want to hear anything contradictory to your views. You just want an excuse to pat each other on the back and make up reasons to laugh at people you think are stupider than you are. Well, enjoy your self indulgence.

This would have been a funny list if it wasn't so stupid. How can anyone seriously believe this unless you are a life long inmate of a mental asylum.

Anyone who believes this diaper load list make people who claim that they have been given rides on spaceships by aliens who are here to tell us how to save our planet.

Hey, he opens threads all the time where ANYONE can post their views! What are you talking about, I don't want to hear anything contradictory???

What do you think people post in here for.......anyone not expecting a contradictory position just shouldn't post.......

Not only that other government documents show the united states govt preparing to round up american citizens to be placed in internment campd R.E.X 84 is just one example

Fine, if it's your personal belief....you DON'T want abortion criminalized...and you just want to "win hearts and minds"...

you and I have zero argument.

But most "pro-lifers" aren't like that....they want it banned. And I'm just asking them "Are you SERIOUS about enforcing that ban....or just bullsh***ing?"

Actually, mea kulpa is trying to change the subject and threadjack .....because he/she doesn't want to "get stuck" in another round of me proving that "pro-lifers" are either-

    A. NOT serious about enforcing a ban on abortion, if they got it.

    B. are totalitarians whose target is women.

So, we get this Glenn Beck/Alex Jones "FEMA concentration camps" crap.

We both know the two male "pro-lifers" on this Forum who have called for (separately or together)...

    1. executing women who have abortions

    2. bio-chip monitoring of all women

    3. monitoring the Internet useage of all women, to spot those looking for ways to get an abortion

    4. mandatory ultrasounds at airports and border crossings

    5. mandatory sterilization of women who have an abortion

Things that might make even a Taliban say "Damn, man...that's pretty harsh!" :)

As soon as the "pro-lifers"....who SERIOUSLY would enforce a ban on abortion...

explains IN DETAIL....how far they'd go to "save the unborn children"?

You couldn't be more wrong in your juvenile statements.

    Liberty grants freedom not licences.

The debate on abortion is not political in nature but ethical. There is no freedom to kill or conveniently extinguish life granted under the definition of Liberty.

If you want to have equal debate on such a topic you may consider in the future using a moral or ethical ground to enforce your reasoning rather than hiding behind two-cent words or phrases like "draconian beliefs". Such admissions sound cantankerous and simple-minded.

Pro-lifers are not under the fallacy that life outside of the womb is the only viable definition of life, rather, they recognize that liberties reside there also.

This is not a topic of freedom and liberty. It is a topic of how we can become ethically devoid and morally corrupt to accept abortion as a tool of convenience. It is a topic of how we can progress into a society that regards life as a disposable entity.

The topic of abortion exposes the need of convenience over responsibility. It exposes how challenged the human race has become in defining what life is.
