So it doesn't matter what the nightclub owner thinks. He has to abide by Florida's laws.

It is a political issue. We can't unkill the people. We can only respond.

Politically, we have a Muslim terrorist who was a registered democrat mowing down a club full of gay people. This will be a political issue. For the left, it will be the AR15. For the right it will be should we let more Muslims into the country (though this guy was probably born here). These are the facts where the rubber hits the road. It should be politicized. It is how things get done. Our laws are politics of reaction. Our Bill of Rights is political reaction to the tactics/practices of the British.

wonder why no one swarmed him and tackled him since they didn't have hand guns to protect themselves, do to metal detectors searches before they enter the club.

 

if the place was packed and dark, it was likely very difficult to spot the shooter.

and many shooters are very good at changing magazines super fast.

plus, 100 round magazines are legal in Florida.

 

I realize that, and nightclubs are one of the only places where I don't think it is smart for most of the people to carry guns.

However, for employees and owners, I think they should be allowed to carry. They are not going to be drunk off their butt and would be able to defend everyone else in cases like this.

employees who are required to NOT drink on duty, and can be fired if they do drink on duty, should be allowed to carry.

i think after this, armed guards will become a lot more common place all over this country.

in big places, small places, everywhere.

Russia had a military base in Cuba until 2002 but they couldn't afford to keep it open.

 

Which is kind of dumb. Security outside doesn't have guns. So a person with a gun can just shoot them and enter the club. The people inside wont know whats going on due to loud music. If anyone should have guns then it should be club security.

 

How long before some nutjob claims this is a CIA secret operation.

Looks like they are looking to open it up again. I wonder how we will respond once they do that and militarize it beyond its current spying capability by putting a missile system there that is similar to Agis ? I'm sure that we will not respond in turn and do something "better".

I think the point being made was that the gun free policy was wrong. The right to have it in place wasn't being questioned, just the wisdom of it.
