So it's NOT the Police chief , it's the SS. :roflol:

The Secret Service doesn't think guns are safe ...........

How does the Republican party proclaim that guns make us safer but NOT at their convention?

Isn't it just like a crowded movie theater that gun lovers claim is safer if everyone had guns?

LOL! You can argue and hoot but the Republicans are eating their pro gun words :)

Nobody wants everyone to have guns. Some folks are more likely to break the law. The nonpeaceful progressive protesters are inherently more dangerous with guns. Trained, law abiding folks make everyone safer when they are armed.

You are all over the place.

The Secret Service does not allow guns near the people they are protecting..

The Union Head suggested a ban..

They are not connected... So please hit reply.. Post some more nonsense and a few emoticons and think you won something..

    Hurray for you!

Perhaps a NY Times article is "safe" enough for you.. Careful though i wouldnt want you to get triggered.

Where are links that says Republicans are not allowing open carry? Which republican wants a ban? I'm trying to find it, but I cannot. After all, the REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR says that he will respect the law.

Open carry at NRA convention (thousands of people attend).. Open carry is not the problem. Idiots from the BLM or any of those groups that want to kill cops are. But then, if they want to bring guns to cause trouble, they will do it regardless of any bans.

I expect the convention to be very safe.. unless some killer that loves the BLM movement decides to bring a gun to cause trouble.. in which case he will be put down like a rabid dog quick by those law abiding people who open carrying.

Taught? Brainwashed is more like it.

Crime also happens outside one's home and property.

It's best to always be prepared.

There is a 6 block hard zone around the convention which is a gun free zone.

BLM would be pretty stupid to start their shennannigans in Cleveland.
They probably know it would go horribly wrong for them.

I will admit that having been raised around guns & hunting, there are very few ppl that I will go hunting with..(i.e. Dick Cheney!).

So unless someone has a bona fide certificate showing that they have been instructed in the safe handing of a particular type of gun, I dont want them around me!!

"But gun owners who are legally allowed to carry firearms will be permitted to do so within the convention’s larger “event zone” — an area that is 1.7 square miles."
    ...
"Donald Trump also are expected to walk the streets of downtown Cleveland bearing arms"

That's awesome... Allow people to open carry, but check to make sure they are not felons. I guess that would eliminate a lot of BLM or anti-trump supporters.. oh well..

That would apply to terrorist with a truck also.. Sure the terrorist would be able to run over some people, but ultimately a hail of bullets would kill the terrorists in seconds...

They should've had the RNC in california.

No violence happens at Trump rallies there. All the hippies are too busy smoking in the haight.

    Oh wait....

Then surely, assault trucks will be banned in Cleveland!

Nope! All the Repubs got here is an embarrassing situation where they think guns WILL BE DANGEROUS IN the convention....it is hilarious to watch all the floundering excuses.....

Ya, every open carry person is law abiding :roflol:

NRA convention has guns, GUNS, and more GUNS.. they have open carry, conceal carry, etc.. Thousands attend and there are very few if any issues. The Republican party convention is slightly different because there were be BLM and other violent protesters. Republicans are just trying to protect these groups from getting shot..

I SAY WHO CARES? let there be guns, and if these terrorist organizations get shot, who cares...

I think I'd use a different sight - unlikely that you'd need more than a red dot for any instance where you'd need to use your gun.

This is too much fun...watching gun worshippers say guns are safe/guns aren't safe, only certain people(the "good" guys) can have guns...

    The protesters are outside.

The convention is inside....why not have open carry inside? Oh, ya, the blame falls on the Secret Service who obviously DON'T think guns are safe and/or the Police chief...

But I haven't heard ONE republican spokesperson or leader SAY why guns won't be allowed...or will be allowed or might not be allowed because we can read minds and know the bad guys from the good guys as determined by us at the beginning......

    Hilarious...

So I guess you never been to an NRA convention??????? Carry inside or outside... doesn't matter. Guns EVERYWHERE. Seriously, you are making fun of the republicans because they are trying to avoid getting violent protestors shoot... Dude, I say bring it on!!!! By the way, protesters also like to sneak inside the convention center and start stuff (punching people, spitting at people, etc.)

It is everyone's right to own a gun if you do relinquish that right through your actions. However, no one is saying that everyone in society should walk around with a firearm.

Who is saying that Repubs do not want to have guns at the convention? You are just making that up. Or, are you saying that the head of the police union is a spokesman for the Republican party?

While the non-felons in the hoard of idiots coming to make trouble in Cleveland have an absolute right to be armed, the group as a whole has been proven to be predisposed to violence. The sound mind needed to properly carry a firearm doesn't lend itself to people who join these types of illogical and irrational groups.

Because the SS says that they cannot.
