A single dimension does not equate to "fiscal health". In essence if your economy is based upon robbing Peter to pay Paul, as is the case in Kansas, then the economy is in the toilet when it comes to fiscal health.

    http://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article74995742.html

Stealing from pension funds and infrastructure means that the state does not have adequate income to meet it's obligation therefore those pensions are in jeopardy.

Libertarian fiscal dogma is a failure in reality.

    You mean Republican, not Libertarian.

The GOP establishment is waking up and smelling the economic decay that is Libertarianism and no, it is not a pleasant stench when it is your own home state that is circling the drain.

Pushing out the extremists makes sense and is way overdue IMO. Consider this to be a foretaste of what is to come over the next couple of election cycles as the GOP puts it's house back in order again.

As an Independent I know that this nation needs genuine conservatism to balance out liberalism and to find the compromise that this nation was founded upon.

The extremist right has seriously damaged conservatism and caused major harm in states like Kansas. If it means that the establishment GOP have to clean up the mess then sobeit.

The genuine conservatives are discovering that they have more in common with Dems than they do with their own extremist rightwing. Both Dems and genuine conservatives want what is best for We the People and so they are compromising to find real solutions to the problems of the failed Libertarian fiscal disaster.

I hope their coalition succeeds because this nation will be all the better for them doing so.

Right now there is no difference between Republican and Libertarian fiscal dogma and both are proven failures.

FTR here is what the Libertarian platform looked like in 1980 when the Koch brothers were running for POTUS.

    http://issuepedia.org/US/Libertarian_Party/platform/1980#3._Consumer_Protection

How exactly are those bolded parts any different to the current Republican platform?

That's why the study that ranks Kansas as 27th most fiscally healthy state uses -several different- metrics, not just one, to reach that ranking, and to reach ranking all the big blue states below 40.

Brownback is cutting state agencies. Your own quote says it. I LOVE IT. Will probably push Kansas up in the fiscal health rankings EVEN HIGHER! Go Kansas. Cut the state agencies and their corrupt, do-nothing minions TO THE BONE! Make public unions ILLEGAL in Kansas and across the country. Those steps will bring our states back to fiscal health. Putting in Democrat spenders sure won't.

And you're an "independent" like the moon is made of cheese. I understand full well why LW/Democrats don't want to identify with their cheating, corrupt party and candidate lately, and so expect to see lots of lying such as "as an independent" going forward. Spare it. You aren't fooling anyone.

Let's compare Kansas to an extreme left-wing Democrat controlled state like California, shall we?

Kansas has better healthcare systems than deep blue California...

Kansas has better school systems than deep blue California...

Kansas has a lower unemployment rate than deep blue California...

No, let's just stick to the OP subject of Kansas.
Refer to the OP about the disaster that is facing healthcare in Kansas.

I'd vote for Trump over a Libertarian. Their economic policies would destroy our country.

I didn't expect that from you. What is so bad about Libertarian economics? What is so comparatively so good about Trumponomics? I just made that up.

As I understand it under libertarians you have total freedom to make your living any way you like if it isn't against the law. If you want to be rich you can do that, and if you just want to be a slacker and take gov't. welfare to just get by you have the freedom to do that too. Trump would interfere with free trade and put taxes and embargoes on the economy. Wouldn't that be a bad thing?

Kansas has got double credit downgrades by both S&P and Moody. Bronwnback has been disowned by a lot of kansas Repubs. Brownback has messed up Kansas schools as he Sells out to "charter" profiteers. Pretty MAJOR mess Brownback caused and few LIKE the outcome.

I'm not independent, but a classical liberal, anti central statist Lockean, Jeffersonian Democrat, which means, ironically, that I will almost never vote for modern Democrats. Most today erroneously, like you, call that a "libertarian."

Kansas bond rating is the same as Cali's, higher than Ill, one notch lower than NY and Mass (and I suspect that the ratings in NY and Mass are higher due to NE Wall Street home cooking) and same as Connecticut. So in context, the above claim holds no water. Isn't it amazing how the left ALWAYS omits necessary context?

Kansas is ranked 27 in fiscal health. Cali, NY, Mass, Conn and ILL are all ranked 40 or lower. Sorry if you can't accept the data.

Libertarian.. the real agenda.. ain't no ' Govt welfare.. nor Disability, food stamps public schools, social security, medicare etc. Had bad luck/? Got sick? Got old? Go live in a cardboard box you unworthy scum. Libertarian is hanging out dated excuses on old school feudalism. what would Trump do? Trump does not seem to know. Libertarian? Normally it's a fantasy and gets 2-3% but.... as bad as Trump is ...right wingers seem to see libertarian as an option. pick your kool aid. Different flavor.. both fatal.

Cali is in great shape. Kansas has been downhill. I do NOT accept your BOGUS date when every legit source says you LIE.

Below average would not be "good" .. if that's so. Kansas Schools are hurting. Public employees got laid off. The poor pay MORE tax and the rich.. get big breaks. Brownback cronies.. get to SCAM. MANY Kansas repubs are now anti Brownback. Kansas *********s.. a crappy bunch.. lost out to moderates. as red as Kansas is.. Dems expect to make some gains. Extremist right wingers... are losing big.

There is nothing wrong with Kansas except that they didn't cut spending enough.

If they would have cut spending more than the taxes, then they would have had a surplus. That's the only problem.

On other key issues, like healthcare, education, and jobs, I already posted that Kansas is doing better than deep blue California. How can that be if the Kansas's model is not working?????

    Crazy? Dumb? NO!

Cradle-to-grave entitlements that some feel that they require their gubmit to give them because they are too incompetent and lazy to make it on their own is crazy and dumb.
