Obama sucked when it came to uniting the nation. He did some really good things. Great things actually, but racist white people just couldn't stand the idea of a black man in charge... unfortunately that means we need a lot more of them, and we may never get a black president as good as Obama. Given that President Obama is currently assigned 62% favorability by the American people and President-elect Trump 42% favorability, the incumbent may be wise to "just keep it up," no doubt - whatever it is that he's doing. (Such antics as publicly mocking the disabled would only increase his popularity with a dubious ilk.)

Democrats in general can take little solace in their racking up more presidential votes than Republicans for the sixth time in the past seven elections, though, nor in the continuing demographic changes, nor in their increasing support from younger Americans and those with a college education.

The Party still need to address the needs of the aging, blue-collar White male that once comprised a reliable base of support for it, even if they are a shrinking percentage of the population.

Yep, I remember when he was elected in 08. I wished him luck in being our president. Turns out all he has done is pitted American against American and that sucks.

 

I'm in a red state with limited voting times and I'm busy yet I thought voting is important enough to make time. Obviously people didn't think it was important enough or didn't like their choices.

 

The way things are going, with BO demanding the protesters only speak louder, I do see a great deal of violence in store for those living in and around Ultra-Left urban Democrat areas.

The most violent will be: St. Louis, Chicago, Baltimore, and Newark.

Other cities that will be somewhat less violent are: Portland, NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, and New Orleans.

The higher percentage of Blacks, so will be the higher percentage of violence and destructive rioting. Generally, a Liberal state with liberal a Dem Governor and most importantly, a Liberal Dem Mayor and city government will tip the odds.

Just because you might have a gun does not make your home and loved ones safe during such times. You can often be surrounded and burned alive.

You may be right. The Progressive Socialist haters of conservatives will soon wake up and realize that it's not the urban cities but the suburban areas that turned this election around. I see it spilling out to smaller urban areas around university towns and expanding outward to suburban areas. That's is when the trouble will start, suburban owners will not tolerate the violence and there will be blood in the streets of suburbia.
