I understand many of the millennials wanting a free college education are now saying they will refuse to attend "Electoral" College.

Sure it does. It prevents one party from importing millions of poor immigrants to the inner cities and allowing them to vote themselves free stuff.

Frightening isn't it. They still want the likes of Pelosi, Shumer and Reid to lead the party. Do they really need more Captain Smith's?

How did Bush destroy America? Bush and the Republican policies mitigate the effects of the 2000/2001 recession and got us into a full recovery and 52 months of solid growth, rising incomes, full employment with average LFPR, soaring tax revenues and a final Republican deficit of a paltry $161B. What exactly didn't you like about that? Of course the Democrats took the Congress in 2007 for FY2008 and we see what happened after that. You want more of that?

    You don't answer, you wack-a-mole if you can't answer I can't respond.

They have full constitutional authority to decide how they and under what rules the electors are chosen, go read the Constitution.

So you are more suited to a monarchy which is what he wanted?

    I didn't realize we have a king.

You said election singular so which state election did Clinton win by a majority of over 3 million votes? Which one are you talking about?

I didn't find it there the only article that speaks of it says the state legislatures decide what it is and all the state legislatures say it is a state popular election. They are each allowed to do it as they please as when some had the state legislature pick the electors but very quickly they saw the best way would be by state popular votes for candidates.

What do you have against the people voting as a state to choose their states slate of electors? You seem opposed to it?

Tell me something, say three states decided next time to indeed have the state legislature choose the electors for the state. The citizens of that state did not vote. How exactly would that effect this national popular note you claim as you try to assign some importance to it? Would it no longer count since in three states the citizens didn't even vote?

Which is made up of the United States, the federal government, the States and the People. The States elect the President through the electoral college and there is no requirement or constitutional mandate that the People cast a vote.

And of course we are not a democracy and the Constitution guarantees to the States we will not be one.

In which state? It was not a national contest. Adding up the 51 individual elections into an aggregate total does not give you a measure the results of a single national election. ROFL what folly.

Tex said 'powerful'. She's totally powerless. Turn the lights out at the Clinton Foundation. The pay to play is over.

The "powerful force" is Trump taking office, putting a final, irrevocable point on her defeat.

Look at it from this perspective: "Faithless electors" generally cast their votes for another candidate for vice president or because the main candidate died during the election. They do not become rogue electors when selecting their commander-in-chief, at least generally. What I mean to say is that the system is gyrating wildly when 7 or 8 electors decide to cast rogue ballots. Heaven knows what 2020 will bring! Here is the wiki entry for this topic with the complete lists of faithless electors.

Look at it from this perspective, the fake news outlets known as the mainstream media
went on a week long rant spreading disinformation that 20 Trump electors would be
faithless electors and they were proven completely wrong once again with their stupid
fake news story. Instead the opposite happened, and Hitler Clinton had 4 times the
    number of faithless electors, 8.

The electoral college vote is a formality. Particularly when the Republican controlled
congress has such a huge majority. If the electors failed to cast the requisite number
of votes for Trump, it would go to the congress controlled by the republicans who would
chose Trump anyway which is another reason the entire story is fake news as well.

We wouldn't have any if the system would just replace the faithless electors with alternates
willing to support the candidate chosen by the voters.

We are also a Republic. Rule of law applies. Thankfully, because of these laws, we are not a true democracy.

Yes, in each election that was held. Why did you want to thwart the wills of the citizens in their respective states?

    In which state?

I could care less how he put it, it's how you and I put it that matters here.

It does in their respective states, the Constitution guaranties this is not a Democracy.

So have you changed your mind about the electors voting their consciences now, that Hamiltonian view and voting the results of the will of the people of their state?

Then why does the Dem party have super delegates? To insure that the DNC picks the candidate and not the people. Bernie was trouncing her in some states and she was awarded as many or more delegates than he won. Its always been the EC. Always.

And the Electoral College was created by the founding fathers. This was never intended to be a pure democracy. That is just mob rule.

The people failed, not the system. We even have the ability to vote Democracy away.
