Trump is tearing our country apart

The business of the country is to oppose despots like Trump at every turn. He should be denied even the slightest of victories whenever possible. We should obstruct, forestall, and poison his every initiative or policy without even a qualm of conscience. No compromise, no prisoners no holds barred gutter warfare.

By "our America" you mean the liberal progressive diseased part of the country....it needs to be torn apart.

 

We are a divided nation because of Obama, not Trump. Trump is trying to heal that divide but the far left Democrats want to divide it further.

Obama was supposed to heal our racial tensions, he did everything he could to make them worse!

When Clinton lost congress after his first 2 years he moved to the center to bring the sides closer, Obama became a total dictator and ruled as a single person with his pen.

Obama has done everything he could to spread terrorism around the world. He got out of ISIS way in Iraq, he draws lines and does nothing if they cross them, and he released over 600 of their worse from prison. Over 200 of them have already been reported back on the battlefield!

I used to be a Democrat. From day one, I have been warning republicans that the claims above are accurate as to how to treat Trump. I used to be just that way. My god, I hated Richard Nixon. Before Watergate no less.

Some posters have it worse than I ever did. For me, it was not the disease of liberalism, but training.

Even in my family, when they learned I flipped to the correct side, some of them really acted like they hated me.

Dude if you think the left would have acted any differently to any other republican winner you are kidding yourself. The divisive people are all on the left. And they will be that way until they get their way.

 

If you think republicans would have acted any different if it were any other nominee besides Clinton you are deluding yourself. Character assassination and bottled bigotry is all that this general election was about and tearing this country and destroying its values is all that you have accomplished. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, you want to shame the opposition party into silence and faux civility that has not existed since republicans lost the House, the Senate and the Oval office in 2008. Its people like you, that taught us that this works.

So add US immigration policy to the list of things that could spark violence among these otherwise peaceful people. This is as racist as saying, "Don't mess with that black guy, he'll beat you up."

Oh, really. You're saying blacks are violent? No difference. You just admitted their irrational and motivated to terror by ridiculousness.

TRUMP in not doing that....FAITH is....we are in an endless war, and the Muslim Ban is a result of said war, because Jihadists have faith (no evidence, just faith) that killing infidels will get them 72 virgins in an invisible place in the sky, "rivers of wine", and avoidance of "torture in a magic invisible place called "hell".

 

Apparently you didn't get the news that not only is the PRESIDENCY Republican now - as voted by the American people, but so is the house, and so is the senate, and so are most governorships, and also most state houses, and soon to be the supreme court. I assume that most dog-catcher districts are, as well. So maybe you should let the will of the American people do it's job of running the country, instead of being a sore loser and an obstructionist. Amazing how many Trump fans are encouraging the division of our country. Well, that is why they voted for Trump. Trump was a rogue candidate and now he is a rogue President. Trump supporters simply don't care how badly our nation is being divided.

Bush had a republican House and Senate and Dems gained all three in 2008 when Obama swept the Republicans out.. In the mid terms. We lost the house and our supermajority in the Senate. My point is that the republican strategy of obstructing Obama won seats in both bodies. I think we ought to learn from the tea party republicans. Obstruction wins seats in congress because its the base that funds the RNC and all those local and legislative campaigns. When the opposition compromises with the WH, it loses its capacity to run against those same initiatives and gain a fundraising momentum . Compromise loses seats in Congress while a tenacious and unapologetic refusal to compromise wins converts.

 

After causing chaos in our airports over the weekend, causing protesters in the thousands taking to the streets across our country and across the world, causing anguish among thousands ot refugees who were in compliance with all U.S. law, and causing a split between our country and its allies, Trump changed the subject by threatening Iran. He is stupidly transparent as he also moved up the day he would announce his Supreme Court pick. All this to get the turmoil of his insipid immigration orders issued Friday off the front page. It won't work. He has stranded thousands and that won't be forgotten.

Trump's national security advisor, Mike Flynn, surprised everyone in government today when he announced, "Instead of being thankful to the United States for these agreements, Iran is now feeling emboldened. As of today, we are officially putting Iran on notice." The first part of the sentence is ludicrous. Was Flynn expected Iran to thank the United States for forcing a nuclear ban? The second part of the sentence is purposely vague. He threatened Iran, but he really didn't mean it. Or did he? What does "putting on notice" mean? Does anyone know?

Why make the announcement? Easy, to get people to stop talking about Trump's ban on Muslims.

The Trump administration will not be able to find grounds for the meek threat. Iran is not in violation of a Security Council resolution. Resolution 2231 terminated all other resolutions that had penalized Iran for its nuclear program, and it called on the country to refrain from engaging in ballistic missile activity “designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons.” The resolution does not specifically mention launches,doesn't forbid missile activity, and, since Iran does not have nuclear weapons, Iran is not in violation of Resolution 2231. Missile tests are not prohibited in the nuclear deal. Such launches are considered a separate issue. Flynn said Iran was being provocative. The Ayatollah has to be laughing his fool head off.

Once again. Trump's concerns about the well being of Americans is in serious question. Flynn's comments made traders nervous because the market is uncertain how far the Trump administration is willing to go. Flynn raised concerns Trump would take actions that would hobble Iran's efforts to revive its oil and gas industry, spark conflicts along oil supply routes and ultimately drive crude prices higher. Due to Trump's activities the Dow has lost 200 points since Friday. Thousands of dollars in retirement savings have been lost.

There is concern that Trump's policies and his fondness for the camera are geared to benefit himself. He doesn't want people to talk about his executive orders anymore.

So, on what grounds did Flynn issue the "threat?" The Trump administration doesn't say.

What does "on notice" mean. The Trump administration doesn't know.

Flynn did not say whether the US would take action beyond a verbal warning, and three senior administration officials, speaking on background, said Wednesday that they are still in the early stages of determining what action the US should take in response.

I ask again, why make the announcement? Trump wanted to change the subject.

 

Speaking of the Muslim ban, Trump tweeted, "If the ban were announced with a one week notice, the "bad" would rush into our country during that week. A lot of bad "dudes" out there!"

Spicer said, “One, the ban deals with seven countries that the Obama administration had previously identified as needing further travel restrictions.”

During a daily press briefing, the White House press secretary claimed only the media is calling Trump’s immigration executive order a “ban.”

Spicer said, “Hold on, hold on. It can’t be a ban if you’re letting a million people in. If 325,000 people from another country can’t even—that is by nature not a ban.”

"Everybody is arguing whether or not it is a BAN," Trump wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning. "Call it what you want, it is about keeping bad people (with bad intentions) out of country!"

Seriously, why watch SNL? Just follow Trump and his merry band.

 

So, let me see if I get this straight. Obama's vetting process has worked for all of his eight years and no refugees have committed terrorists acts in the U.S., but you support a make believe crisis by Trump, hoping for division,and also, are hoping it is like 1860 all over again?

And since Obama's vetting process has worked, how is Obama dividing us? Maybe your idea of division comes from the fact you simply can't deal with a black president?

You do know that your whole argument not only does not make any sense, but what it does prove, is that you are totally enveloped in pure hatred.

 

What a load of crap. Obama divided this country like never before and did one stupid thing after another for eight years. He turned his back on Congress and tried to run the country all by himself with his pen and phone. How well did that work out? But now you on the Left want to heap (*)(*)(*)(*) on top of Trump who has had a total of eight days on the job. Eight years versus eight days? And you blame Trump? No wonder you lost the election. Americans may have been stupid enough to elect Obama twice, but we aren't stupid enough to believe your Trump rant.

I really wish you would quit saying that. I am a moderate conservative Republican. Many who criticize Trump are not lefties. With respect to his executive orders, that would include Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senators McCain and Graham, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and several other Republican lawmakers.

I said in the OP the country was already divided. Beginning with his victory tour and ending with the unlawful orders Friday Trump is doing everything he can to exacerbate the split rather than attempting to heal it. You seem to think two wrongs make a right. You provide a good example of what Trump is doing. Trump is doing everything he can to please his adoring followers. He is doing everything he can to create the angst among the 70 million Americans who did not vote for him. His adoring fans represent a minority of Americans and he lost by nearly 3 million votes. Does he wish to unite America? No, he doesn't.

I blame Trump for his executive orders on Friday. I accurately described the ramifications of those orders. I noticed you didn't challenge anything I wrote. That is because everything I wrote was valid.

Instead, you changed the subject to Obama. Whenever the truth is written about Trump, invariably his fans change the subject to Obama, Clinton, anybody but Trump and his actions and words.

I am not an Obama apologist, but I should point out that Senator McConnell in Oct. 2010 said, The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president. Republicans controlled both houses of Congress after 2012. Obama was forced to rule by fiat.

Trump has no such excuse. His party controls both houses of Congress. He should make every attempt to unite America. He is doing the very opposite. Review the OP. If you open your eyes you will see what I mean.
