I love my bule heeler. He is the best dog I have ever had in 47 years.

My dog is the best breed. He is a loveboy breed, and a rescue. I have never seen a dog I didn't like. Rescues for me only.

It all depends on you, your family, your living area and what you want to do with the dog. I don't get along with bird dogs and terriers. I don't know why, but they just aren't good dogs for me. I know people who have great labs or jack russells, but they just don't mesh well with me. I like herding dogs and other working dogs. We get along. Best dog I ever had was a Texas heeler (Australian shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix). I could walk him in an area with ducks and geese without a leash, but if I told him he could, he'd chase them. Second best was my current boxer. Boxers are great guard/house dogs. They are goofy and fun, but are also quite protective.

Heelers are great dogs if you have time to train and work with them. My best dog ever was a Texas heeler (aus shep/aus cattle dog mix). But I was a single man then, and single men are the only people that really have the time to devote to dog training perfection.

    not true.

My heeler is perfectly content laying around most of the day. He runs the neighborhood early every morning, then lays around all day....lol

Different world than most of us. Can he run free in the mornings? In most of us who have dogs in backyards, there isn't enough for them to do.

I see your point. He would probably be fine on a fence, but yeah, he runs free. He is a mess....lol

I live somewhere where my dogs take daily walks throughout the woods surrounding us.

They "Tree'd" a poacher on my property for me, I heard them howling for a few hours until I finally went out to see what they were howling at, the big one got him by the arm when he tried to shoot my 2 year old Male (These were my Ovtcharkas, and I absolutely loved those dogs, always had my back when I needed them), he got away from it and scurried up the tree. I walked out, seen the gun on the ground, grabbed it, laughed at him, went back inside and called the game warden. Didn't have to worry about him, "Getting away".

He has enough to do to occupy his time. Dogs in fenced in yards need more attention.

My parents got two dogs, and I educate mostly the second one. Both were mixed breeds, they are goods dogs and don't have any sickness. However, the second one is nice but doesn't seems really god at obeying, but we got her at more than 1 YO and it was the first dog we truly educated.

One of the most beautifull dog race is for me the bernese mountain dog.

Chihuahuas for the win. They're very lovable, and easy to clean up after.

I have an Irish Terrier, fantastic breed, this is my second one. Before that I had Airedales, goofy fun dogs...

I have a lot of difficulties with Chihuaha. First, I'm tall and massive even if almost not overweighted, I could step on them more easily than someone smaller, secondly, I'm more afraid when a Chihuaha meet another dog, third, I know too much chihuaha who were short lived because of their genetic flaws.

Interesting. I always heard they lived a long time because they're small.
