Is he wearing a wig? There is something about him that looks very artificial.

Yeah, overreacting to the possibility of a dictator with no negative feedback loops threatening to destroy the US with nuclear weapons is overreaction. But I do agree the US sticks its nose where it doesn't belong.

OTOH, let me remind everyone there was a coalition of much of the rest of the world supporting and working with the US to invade Iraq because the consensus of the world's intel was he had WMDs. And he did at one point to be certain. Where did they go?

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A first strike policy is nuts. It undermines trust by everyone, and make the Mutually Assured Destruction deterrent of nukes useless. It would be safer to simply destroy all our nukes and pray for deliverance.

Which is what most of you are doing to Trump.

It is your crowd that is cherry picking through Trump's life and placing a negative and salacious twist on everything he's ever done. If anything is debasing the country it's you and your media.

Thats just illusion they created to fool you to believe that world is supporting US invasion of Iraq.

Most of people all over the world, including many people in US, dont even know if US made an invasion to Iraq.

We have conducted joint exercises with the S. Koreans. N. Korea sees that as provocation to escalate their threats.

As the saying goes, "The price of peace is eternal vigilance." Ignore their threats at your peril.

    Cheers,

We have plenty to do--much of it is not getting done because our top leadership is simply allowing society's blood (money) to seep into the pockets of their special elite that does not believe in compensating people for the value of what they contribute, and is fine with draining our people and infrastructure of all value instead of maintaining the country and its people in good shape. They would be fine with the idea of turning most of us into serfs, and can't even tell the difference between a hard-working member of the middle class and a leach living off the horrendous welfare system they have created. In fact, they support the underclass instead of the members of society that are trying to preserve it. Their media is delivering movie after movie of more and more disgusting violence, which has made what is really going on in the world seem unreal to many.

The most responsible members of our society, the middle class, are so overworked and exhausted they barely have time to watch a few hours of TV at night before collapsing in sleep--and our media is not producing the kind of news that would help them to wake up. Trump has managed to wake up a few, and you can see how much they hate him, and how they are able to brainwash so many against him. It is so much easier to believe bland, likable, politically correct people that are lying to them and secretly laughing at them.

They mainly have control of the Democrat party right now but also secretly control many elected Republicans.

I already explained to you that threats of harm are not a good idea. IMO Westerners respond differently to them.

The West is composed of peoples that have historically migrated a good deal to avoid other predatory humans; they have not lived in place for millennia like many in the East. Now that they have defensible territory they are not going to risk it being threatened. What happened to Saddam is a typical Western response to a believable threat.

Offers of friendship and cooperation tend to work better. Look how strongly positive Japan's present stance has been taken, even though we were attacked by them in the past. Unlike the Mideast, with its revenge ethic, the West believes in forgiving and forgetting.

IMO it is a tragedy that the North Korean leadership does not see the possible positives here and continues to insist on making enemies.

Threats should never be ignored but if words are responded to by actual military attack then it is we who have escalated. If they make threats, we threaten back, and Trump has been doing that and I don't have much of a problem with it as long as it is just a threat.

I generally agree but the entire point of this conflict is to keep deliverable nuclear weapons out of Kim's hands. Right now I hear the argument they already have them but they don't have the guidance system in place to accurately deliver nuclear weapons.......yet. They will soon and once they do the entire game changes. It already has with the advancement of their ICBMs and miniaturization of nukes since this thread started. That's how quickly the game has changed.

We don't have a lot more time for sanctions or other interventions unless China steps it up a good deal.

We may have to strike and that is not desirable.

Thing is there .....I am not POTUS and if I were I would be examined under a microscope as well. likely I would have to admit to the vandalism I did as a teenager.....it is not my fault that Trump has a boatload of issues in his past. The man is a nightmare of problems awaiting sunlight, and he is kinda nasty as well so people have incentive to dig deeper. He has done this to HIMSELF simply by being who he is.

Since when it is forbidden to compare depending and comparable evil with Hitler and the Nazis, eh? Hello????

And no, a preemptive strike is strictly forbidden and will make the USA to be the evil aggressor! I still explained why, but will repeat it so you will understand the law and judicial situation better!

The USA (and SK and others) are in status of war with North Korea since 1950 and there exists only since 1953 a cease-fire agreement, BUT NO PEACE TREATY!

It is amazing how many Americans do not even know this simple fact and still do not know what it means!

How can you start a preventive attack / war if you have been still in war for 67 years? It does not work!
If someone is in the war with someone else, then you must always expect an attack and thus a new outbreak of fighting, right?
As with any armistice, there are clear conditions that both sides must fulfill, but within these conditions both sides can do what they want in their territory!
The crazy garden dwarf in North Korea is allowed to shoot missiles within his own territory as he wants, no matter what type of missiles they are! In contrast to nuclear weapons, there is no international law or treaty prohibiting the development and possession of intercontinental weapons - point!

It is said here again and again that North Korea is threatening the USA with shelling ... be it to South Korea, to Japan (including Okinawa), Guam, Hawaii or even the western US mainland. Sorry, but so what?
For 67 years now, everything that North Korea can reach with its weapons has been a target for their military ... the reverse of the US's 67-year history of everything in NK is on their target list! The threat has existed de facto for 67 years and when the garden dwarf threatens specifically with the bombardment of Guam, this is no more than the clear announcement of a long-standing fact!
No, I am not defending Kim, but NK has fulfilled (nuclear weapons program aside, which is not part of the armistice conditions), since 67 years despite all the evil anti-US rhetoric strictly within the ceasefire ... and it has de facto broken only one time really in 2010, when NK artillery shot on one part of South Korea.

    Conclusion:
Even if the security of the US is threatened by the possession of the missiles and these idiotic tests are condemned by UN Security Council and sanctions are condemned, the fact of the present state of a 67-year war situation and the cease-fire has not given the USA a legal basis since 1953, For a preventive attack.
In short, no matter who shoots first against the other, he violates the armistice, which was also signed by the UN! Should the US attack first, they would be violating the UN resolutions too and would then have to be punished just as internationally as North Korea!

Do you think those threats to US come out of nowhere? The only fact we have is if Kim didn't have nukes N-Korea would be invaded long time ago. If Iraq had nukes, US would never invaded them. Same goes with any other country that US have invaded. Somehow the whole world is a threat to US. Poor Americans. I don't like fat-Kim but invading or bombing their country is never a solution.

Well, that is the Germany viewpoint, that if Germany were totally obliterated by someone given advance notice of intention to do so - and Germany could have prevented this pre-emptively - Germany would opt instead for tens of millions of Germans killed and Germany totally obliterated. But that'd be ok because a grievance could be filed with the UN, which probably would pass a very harshly worded resolution condemning the mass murdering of Germans and obliteration of Germany - and that would make everything better.

What is known is that Germany will not even defend itself now and instead is financing itself being invaded and ultimately erased. Anyone listening to Germany's view on national defense would truly be a fool.

What a big lie. It is not a fact that NK would have been invaded if it didn't have nukes. If so, it would have been before it had nukes and regardless NK is a slave labor province of China so China would have defended NK. Your messages are of great admiration of Kim Jung Un and go to any lengths to defend him.

I see in your answer, unfortunately, no more than the frustration over the FACTS brought by me ... paired with the usual idiotic raids on these so evil Germans.
Do you have any facts that speak against the facts I have brought, or is it finished from your side with the arithmetic attempt simply to beat the evil Germans with some funny BS telling?

What FACTS is that? Just your BS.

NK had launched missiles at our ally, Japan, repeatedly open fired on our ally, S. Korea, attacked vessels of our ally, and has threatened nuclear attack against our troops, our territory and our country in mass genocidal attacks. He is stockpiling illegal chemical and biological weapons, threatening to use them. Under US law President Trump may order an attack at anytime perfectly legally.

It is USA law, not UN resolutions, that govern our president and he is president of the United States, not a submissive clerk of the UN.

It is the fundamental right of any country (or person) to defend themselves and there is no duty to let the other person shoot you before you may do so. The attacks and threats by Jim Jung Un justify going to war against N. Korea. It is that simple. Granted, may liberals believe every person had a duty to allow him/herself to be murdered because they believe defending yourself is immoral.

It doesn't matter if the UN declares that the USA can not defend itself or its allies or that we have to let 100+ million Americans be murdered because UN nations would like 100+ million Americans murdered - and no, sanctions would not be imposed against the USA, though the USA should impose huge tariffs against Germany.

The USA has no reason to give a damn what Germany thinks and Germany is a country that surrendered to Europe's age-old invaders, the Empire of Islam, not with a bang but with a whimper - literally paying tribute to every Muslim invader who arrives. Within one generation German culture will be gone and with 2 generations Germany will not longer be a secular country of a secular government. Within 3 generations indigenous Germans will be a minority who either convert to Islam or flee as Germany will be a sub-state of the Empire of Islam. But, since most Germans don't have children they don't seem to care what happens after their death anyway. They seem to believe that Muslim workers are going to take care of them in their old age - and are going to learn how mistaken they were.

To the bolded, when you are totally insane in your comparisons. Hitler murdered millions and this compares to Trump how? Kim is evil but Trump is just not liked by the left and media. It is a moronic comparison and your defense of it is moronic as well. When you people utter these kinds of quotes you demean yourself as well as every person who went thru the holocaust including every Jew, Roma, and other persona Hitler deemed undesirable. You also demean everyone who associates with you.

Stopped reading there but we don't want Kim to have deliverable nukes and my guess is we will stop them. This is important because it is precedent esp for Iran who is watching closely. If Kim gets to develop a guidance system and keep his weapons then that's the recipe for Iran and anyone else who decides to do so. Apparently some can't see past the immediate future.

So again not a single fact, only a tirade of hatred against Germany, the UN and as usual against the evil liberals and leftists!
How can you start a preventive war because the other is supposed to threaten you so directly if you have been in war with this other for 67 years now ... you have to turn your brain on before you write something JakeJ!!!

For 67 years, everything is the US what is within reach of North Korea is a goal for the! What is ****ing so new and different now, because the garden dwarf is threatening Guam? Nothing! Guam has long been a target for NK, as Okinawa and wathever else too!

No, NK has been bellicose for three generations using lies and blackmail to get its way. I understand Kim doesn't want to go the way of Hussein or Kadaffi but he's too dangerous to be allowed to have nukes that can strike anyone much less the USA. This should have been addressed years ago but it's a complex problem and no one wanted to tackle it. Now we are at the crux and either live in another cold war with a barbarian who has no sense of value for human life or we annihilate him soon. Or China helps which they apparently won't or can't.

This idea that war is never a solution is erroneous. I do agree it should be avoided if at all possible. War is an extension of political will. One must decide if allowing a nuclear NK and hence most likely a nuclear Iran and then who knows else is worse than the violence and horror of a brief war with NK now. My guess is that decision has already been made. And I don't think China's rebuke is going to influence the decision. Probably better they sit this out if they're not going to help.
