But the "expert" says - eat more salt - it's good for you. ;-)

This kind of scuttlebutt crops up every few years.
That played that game with Coffee and also other
key food items like steak { too much protein }.
    Actually Charred meat { especially blackened on the grill }
is notoriously bad for you.And can lead to cancer.
Eating your steak rare is far better.
But certain things like Pork and Chicken need to be
    fully cooked,never rare.

Lemon juice is only acidic in it's external state. Once absorbed into the body, it actually becomes alkaline.

Your pretty much useless trivia for the day. ;)

You could finish the job the mohel was doing when you were about 2 months old. It would also alleviate that other issue you seem to have in the mornings. ;)

It depends on what kind of salt... that 'table salt' has had all it's goodness stripped out of it. Try something called 'Real Salt'... https://realsalt.com/

Yes,the Iodine. Sea Salt which is what is used in a quality
Deli is much better. My Kroger's had in it's gourmet section little
jars of special-flavored salt. But those little jam-like jars
    cost $ 9.99

Good to know even though trivia.

I am more fascinated by what alcohol becomes inside the body -- and that is much more applicable to me.

I drink way more alcohol per week than lemon juice per year.

salt is holy, in israel the dead sea has salt and sulfer which healed all the good people from the holy land of the past, who we worship today.

it can't be bad salt that the rich sell, has to be natural salt.

For my shooting test at the gun range this morning I got 96% -- way better than my practice last night and the same score as last year.

Now I can relax, enjoy Friday, and get drunk !!!

    Happy Friday, bar flies !!!

I will have a lite supper (supper in French means "with soup") of seafood vegie soup with wontons, and copious amounts of moonshine, rum, and wine chasers to go with it.

I expect to be passed out drunk by sunset.

We watch most television via DVR....greatest invention since toilet paper!

After getting off worked, I watched Fox's "The Orville". Great show. Anyone who was a Star Trek fan, especially the original series, should like it. The season finale is coming up, but those with proper services can watch the entire series on demand for free.

Just tapped a keg of pale ale home brew I made with galaxy hops. Galaxy hops come from Australia. God bless them for trying, but I can see why they still have the Union Jack on their flag.

The CZ's are heavy guns, all metal, tough enough that you can beat on someone's head with them.

I don’t have one myself but have heard good things about them. My .45’s are a stainless Springfield 1911 loaded edition, and an H&K USP.

Spelling Bee A Texan was in the finals of the state spelling bee. "Okay, your word is 'farm,'" the moderator said to the Texan. He sat there for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face. "Um... Can I have a definition?" "Sure," the moderator said. "It is a plot of agricultural land, used for the raising of crops and livestock." "Uhhh..." The boy sat there for several more minutes, continuing to ask for alternative pronunciations, word origins, etc. The moderator was getting frustrated. Finally the boy asked, "Uh, can you use it in a sentence?" "Old MacDonald had a FARM!" the moderator shouted. "Oh!" said the Texan. "E-I-E-I-O!"

My first pistol was a S&W Model 39 9x19mm. I truly loved this pistol but like an unfaithful lover I sold it 40 years ago. I dearly miss it and wish I still had it. I also wish I still had my Colt Woodsman 22LR pistol as well. Same story -- I sold it 30 years ago.

My general rule of guns is not to accumulate them. If I want a new one for the same function that I already have one, I first sell the old one or else I trade it in on the new one.

Over the decades I have owned dozens of guns, all of which I have sold or traded-in for the four guns I own now. Three of my four guns are for self defense -- the CZ pistol & the Ruger 5.56x45 & Mossberg Model 590 shotgun. My fourth gun is a scoped hunting rifle.

Everyone needs their own self defense pistol which they should get on their 21st birthday, together with a holster and belt for it. The best place to wear this gun is inside the waist belt (IWB) on your strong side.

The best times to have this gun by your side is 24/7/365.

You never know when crime is going to touch you. Therefore you need to be ready 24/7/365.

It is also good to have your own 5.56x45 carbine and your own shotgun as well.

Then you need to find good professional instruction to train you how to shoot straight and true.

Then you too can say like all Marines do, "This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend -- it is my life. I must learn to master my rifle as I must master my life. I must shoot straight and true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must kill him before he kills me. I will."

The 1911's are the most reliable pistols in the world. Good choice.

I used to have one when I worked for Uncle Sam back in the 1970's.

My CZ is like it, but my CZ is single/double action. 1911's are only single action. I prefer the single/double.

I'd have to agree. All though if we are talking home protection my personal preference is a 357. She kicks like an angry wife and you will definitely be on the ground from her punch. Just like an angry wife. lol :D

Agreed for the most part but I prefer 7.62x39 over 5.56x45; better for hunting and self-defense because it packs more punch.

I’ve never sold a gun before. Must be an emotional event.
