A pump action shotgun is simpler to operate than a bolt action shotgun, and is therefore a better choice.
I got a nephew who never shoots who would be more trustworthy than you. You just haven't got it, and you know it. That's why you carry in the first place. How's the Vegas investigation going again?
You know what? I feel sorry for you. I really do. The way you rage against your own insecurities by projecting them onto other people, spouting off about stuff you are completely lacking in knowledge about, but your fragile pride and ego won't allow you to admit you're wrong... and your petulant, childish hyperbole. I don't know what happened in your life to bring you to this point, but all of a sudden reading your stuff just makes me feel bad for you. At this point, I'm just done with you. Best of luck to you, Tom, and I really mean that. I hope you find your way forward from all of the things holding you back.
Wrong about what? Just what have I been wrong about, be specific. You can't fire a shotgun or M79 from the hip with any accuracy? BS, here's a clue, the M79 is fired from the hip routinely. As another poster pointed out, the military has actually trained soldiers, and Marines, in firing long guns from the hip. It's not optimal, but it's a viable option. You're all book, and no street smarts. BTW, how's that Vegas investigation going again? Your take on that shooting was the most appallingly out of sorts take on a public event I've ever seen. It was right up there with the "Bush was in on 9/11" crowds nonsense. If I were you I'd try some mindfulness meditation and introduce yourself to reality.
First, you are not my pal. Save your condescension for someone else; you arne’t In the position. Silly question... already told you I won’t answer a question obviously designed lead by someone that knows nothing about shotguns, particularly a bolt action, and has never been in a position of having to defend themselves or others in a life and death situation. So either join reality and quit with the typical elitist Hollywood educated superiority attitude and be honest about your objectives rather than the schoolyard tactics or figure given your level of credibility here, expect pushback. You’ve thus far had nothing of relevance or value to discussion.
true, but the value of an opinion lives or dies on the expertise and knowledge of its author. I an expert on the use of shotguns-both as a former world class competitive shooter and coach of an Olympic shotgun athlete and for defensive purposes. SO asking a question that if you shoot someone with a bolt action shotgun, will they die, is pretty silly when talking about the defensive uses of firearms where the critical issue is successfully engaging a threat with your weapon before the threat (which is often multiple mopes) can hit you
I agree with you; It's the same old tired excuses from the gun huggers; most of them live in a world of paranoia and when they run out of using the same old excuses, they refuse to answer the obvious.
Nobody wants your measly poor mouth Sympathy. I defend myself and others from harm as I did as a LEO and train often. Who needs sympathy ? Not I........
Gun huggers ? Is there no end in sight to your constant name calling and inane chicanery ? Lets see what you do when corralled by a serial rapist, when a small revolver could stop such an attacker cold..
I agree ! Although, there was this one time in Band Camp, A hawt thing, in leather boots...... Nevermind ...
and these people who spew insults and contempt at legal gun owners want us to believe that their desire to pass more laws harassing gun ownership is NOT motivated by a loathing of gun owners but an altruistic desire to increase public safety.
I read the thread carefully; nothing approaching the kind of hysterics you suggest are happening. When I asked you for an example you decided to be a smart-ass and send me to https://www.masseyeandear.org. I think you got caught exaggerating too much and want to avoid explaining why. The only thing you have to do to show me I'm wrong is quote the post you think is worthy of a "heart attack", whatever that is.
