FLASHBACK: That Time Trump Took Down A Mugger In Action

The New York Daily News reported that as Trump was riding in his limousine on Nov. 18, 1991, with his then-wife Marla Maples (on their way to a Paula Abdul concert), they came upon the mugging.

Trump got out of his car and approached the man with the baseball bat. Trump said the attacker, “a big guy with a big bat,” delivered five or six “good whacks” before he arrived at the scene.

“The guy with the bat looked at me, and I said, ‘Look, you’ve gotta stop this. Put down the bat,'” Trump told The Daily News. “I guess he recognized me because he said, ‘Mr. Trump, I didn’t do anything wrong.’ I said, ‘How could you not do anything wrong when you’re whacking a guy with a bat?’ Then he ran away.”

The incident wasn’t reported to the police, and one witness disputed Trump’s account. “A lot of people were surprised that he got out to see what was happening,” Kathleen Romeo, a student at the time, told The Daily News. She claims the man with the bat ran away just before Trump got there. Trump then “just looked around and went back into his limo,” Romeo said.

Central planning is a conscious allocation process. Tariffs and immigration are typically more governed by politics.

And consciously so, for the same aim: artificial allocation of resources through government planning in lieu of market allocations.

Now you want to verify newspaper articles? Better check that TRUMP WINS BY A LANDSLIDE edition. Maybe Hillary actually won? :roflol:

Mercantilism is more of a strategy than it is central planning.

I'm saying we should always be suspicious of anonymous sources. You are the one playing favorites in that regard -- they are okay when they support Trump, but you want to question them if they support Hillary. I'm saying question both.

Who cares? The Popular Vote is not the Presidential Electorate.

Are there still a significant number of clowns who still remained confused on that point? How can that be?

Maybe you can have Nate Silver spin you up some yarns about how Dems have a built in advantage in the Electoral College?

Did Democrats Get Lucky in the Electoral College?
    BY NATE SILVER FEBRUARY 26, 2013 9:04 AMFebruary 26, 2013 9:04 am

President Obama won the Electoral College fairly decisively last year despite a margin of just 3.8 percentage points in the national popular vote. In fact, Mr. Obama would probably have won the Electoral College even if the popular vote had slightly favored Mitt Romney. The “tipping-point state” in the election — the one that provided Mr. Obama with his decisive 270th electoral vote — was Colorado, which Mr. Obama won by 5.4 percentage points. If all states had shifted toward Mr. Romney by 5.3 percentage points, Mr. Obama would still have won Colorado and therefore the Electoral College — despite losing the national popular vote by 1.5 points.

I seriously doubt that the "fat ass in chief" can even run.

No loss for me. I have all the money I'll ever need--I don't collect Social Security ot use Medicare. I picked up Canadian citizenship years ago (born in Los Angeles), so I don't even have to live in the United States. Oh, I'm 1/4 Irish, so I can get citizenship there, too, and I could live anywhere in Europe.

Feel sorry for people trapped in the U.S. gun range with no place to go.

Is there anything Trump can't do?

Consumer Confidence At Highest Since Clinton Tech Bubble

Trump ran into the building and kicked economic malaise's ass.*

U.S. consumer confidence jumped to a 17-year high as optimism about employment prospects grew and Americans began seeing additional money in their paychecks from recently enacted tax cuts, data from the New York-based Conference Board showed Tuesday.

The report reflects increased confidence in employment and incomes, which could support consumer spending. The labor differential, which measures the gap between respondents saying jobs are plentiful and those who say they're hard to get, rose to 24.7 percentage points, the highest since 2001.

Recent tax legislation signed in December may have also buoyed sentiment, as many Americans saw bigger after-tax paychecks in February due to the law.

Trump ran in there, unarmed kicked serious econ ass and we are all benefiting from his courage.

Another attempt to change the subject? Really? And increasing consumer confidence is not the same thing as improving the economy. Can we return to the topic now?

You're dragging in way too much stuff to the concept of "central planning."

It is in line with the first sentence of the article you linked to, and I'm hardly the first person on the economic right to criticize Trump for these policies and argue, instead, in favor of the market.

With very good reason, but not as deep as Trump's pathetic cowardice and lack of empathy...

How about we look at what he said in context. All of it. Because of crap like this editing and snipping quotes, people are fooled into bekeiving whatever the MSM wants the useful idiots to believe.

"You know I really believe, you don't know until you're tested, but I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon and I think most of the people in this room would've done that too," he said.

So please explain what he lied about or what he said that was so terrible? He even admitted you don’t really know until it happens, but....

FAKE ****ING NEWS you ****ing hacks!!!

That's pretty funny given that your corporate state media machine put him into office and participates in the chaos and twitter spew mayhem that buries any real questioning of the system or discussions of real societal problems.
