There's an agreement nothing to do with the EU preventing there ever being a hard border.
So him wanting to control Belfast, no.
Playing on fears to get what he wants, what politician wouldn't?
It's like France and the UK and Ireland and the UK, what we do is up to us since we have these agreements in place outside and before the EU.
The EU shouldn't talk about there being a border unless it saves NI, almost makes me want to build a wall and then talk about the Good Friday Agreement at the UN saying the EU made me do it, they was going to take my land.

Wouldn't any move on the part of the EU to annex NI to protect it from something that can't happen become an EU invasion of the UK?

The only power over this the EU has is Southern Ireland's insistence that the EU negotiates on it's behalf.

    It's a diplomatic institution.

Southern Ireland can do whatever it chooses on it's side of the border. All the rest is spin,

Ned, you need to worry about the common market of the UK as well as Belfast and constitution, or you're rooting for a country that isn't yours.

UK Tories are the people you need to back, Ireland's like France and Germany and will be sad to see England win the world cup, Ireland are people who the EU control as well have papal control, have you forgotten about Henry the VIII or what country you're in? I don't understand why you're not concerned about this if you want Brexit to go right. It's cherry picking season and the EU's only answer is to annex Northern Ireland.

Suiciders should see themselves off, not try to pull the rest of us into their half-witted, self-important nonsense.

Spoken like a true progressive, on anyone's side but the one who's in power.
    What of English Tories?

You believe me to support a foreign party from a foreign country?

Yes, of course, it's not even instinct for you to think of London or the UK or even the UK common market.
Remember, Ireland left the UK and is like France and Germany. To Hell with what Ireland wants in this Brexit.

I say erect a hard border on Ireland if the UK can't cherry pick from the whole of the EU, not annex NI for Brussels.

the UK is half of this negotiation, the EU isn't thinking about the UK, so why should the UK think about Ireland since 1916?

It carries a great deal more weight than you posturing nutters. The tories are wasting so much time negotiating with one another that they don't seem to realise that against the EU they are holding no cards whatever.

Obviously I'd hugely prefer to remain in the EU and cut any ties with this footling and collapsing London regime.

Blair and Major came out in support of the EU today.
    Surprise surprise.
I think Corbyn might have too.

    That's right they aren't.

No UK government has a democratic mandate to negotiate with the EU.
The British people have taken the decision.
Those who held the cards have played them.

    Game over.

The UK government lost the ability to represent us on this issue due to decades of doing so falsely. We have represented ourselves directly and in person.

Following collapse, we have a chance of socialism. The EU unfortunately will maintain its neoliberalism

Johnny Foreigner laying down the law in Northern Ireland.
It does actually rankle to listen to that. I had to mute him.

I think war with the EU is a when not an if.

    After Northern Ireland.... comes Gibraltar.
This **** has only just begun.

This woman has thrown her career away on the fabled good deal with Europe.
Just like all those who went before her.

The basic problem is that she believes it is possible. She is pro EU.
And so she will bend the earth itself before her political will to make it happen.
    Fools gold.

There is no good deal with the EU.
They want the opposite of what we want. To deal with them is to work with them toward that goal.
They seek to punish us. To rule us and to enfeeble us.
To deal with them at all, is self defeat.

    We have left the EU.
Mrs. May is still trying to join it.
