No one wants schools shot up but taking away weapons will NOT stop this from happening. Make no mistake the left has been pushing for total gun control for forty plus years. They really don't give a rat's ass about the school shootings and are only using the incident to push their political agenda to strip Americans of their 2nd amendment rights to better control everyone. Anyone not knowing what they're planning needs only to look at what's happening in Venezuela today after the leftist government there has reduced that nation to abject poverty. The people are now starving to death and have had to eat pets and zoo animals just to survive.

The NRA has been a strong advocate to keep this from happening by protecting American's 2nd amendment rights. But now they under attack by Delta airlines who are trying to flex their muscles and threaten a boycott to further the left's agenda.

DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN !

We must all stand our ground and not allow anyone to even suggest taking that right away. Once the left has accomplished that, they'll further push to take away our 1st amendment rights of free speech and religion as well which they've already started hence the reason conservatives are not even allowed to speak on campuses around the country. Thank you governors of Georgia for standing your ground.

The Right is now for coercive governments using taxation to punish people and groups with certain political beliefs? Whelp, guess you guys can stop whining about Obama's IRS, right! Finally.

Delta has so many passenger incidents and such poor service just don't do Delta, anyway, regardless of their politics.

The NRA deserves it. Bump stocks (nearly full auto), 100 round drums, 30 round mags, no background checks for private sales of long guns. Kudos to the stores banning guns for people under 21 as well. We forget how immature college kids are.

To no one's surprise, Trump has never been a great speaker and because of that his meaning gets lost in the translation. He was referring to people who go rogue on social media claiming they are going to shoot up a school, Trump believes in these cases the arms need to be removed temporarily pending investigation to ensure the guy doesn't cause harm. There's already a law on the books that allows that in serious situations where criteria is met but the law just isn't enforced much as in the case of the Stoneman Douglas fail.

They, the NRA seem to be on board with making changes as long as it doesn't infringe on citizens rights to bear arms.

Sure...a law that allows for due process. And no, Trump did not just flub a line. He explicitly endorsed the idea of taking guns first and worrying about due process second.

But you go with the "he did not mean to say what he said," defense if you want. Seems fitting for the guy who "has the best words."

So it is a Conservative position now that the total of 13 NRA members who have used this discount in the past deserve to get free money given to them by a private company for the rest of their lives?

I’m sorry, but I laughed out loud when I read the title. And then the paragraphs.

What has Delta done to take away your metallic kids—err, I mean guns? Georgia is looking remarkably pathetic and you want to say they are “standing their ground?” The NRA has made it possible for more mass shootings to happen by standing behind these rifles over safety.

I’ll make sure to use Delta.

The NRAs worst nightmare is when the private sector begins to take a stand on guns they don’t like. And Delta just did that. And Dicks and Walmart and Kroger. Are you going to boycott them as well?

It's really hard to boycott China as their products dominate in every retailer that isn't at the very high end. It's almost like there was a conspiracy to make China dominant in America.

I've been staying away from Target for years but their products are even lower quality than Walmart.

Dicks is the most expensive of the big box sporting good stores, but I'm fair and check them for price, and occasionally buy something on sale. Academy almost always knocks their socks off on the same item.

Talk about living in a bubble. Social Justice Warrior CEOs are perhaps the most narcissistic and psychopathic of all. To impulsively act independently of the board, and completely ignore legal fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders, so you can signal your own personal virtue with a polarizing and alienating political statement? that's moxie. that's someone's mommy telling someone they're super-duper special one to many times.

ANY company that submits to social blackmail over political issues that they do not have a direct hand in does the nation a disservice. The people threatening them have no character- and the company who lets themselves be manipulated in this way has no courage. The proper answer is to let them know we see that as poor citizenship and a degrading effect on their reputation and respectability.

Whether by refusing to trade with them or sending letters or posting counter opinions, I say do it. And it would not be just on this issue- what is offensive is not the issue so much as the weakness and manipulation the companies show when they let the political winds turn them into grovelers.

Perhaps you can explain how Delta no longer giving NRA members a discount will result in guns being taken away? I can't wait.

YUP...Just like with the exception of FOX, I've already boycotted all TV networks, movies, Hollywood stars, and businesses that use their positions and status to spread their far left progressive liberal hate agenda against the conservative party. It really is getting down to the nitty gritty now to the point all conservatives need to stop hiding and being quiet but instead stand up, make their voices heard, and demand justice.

Some of these liberal posts give new meaning to the cliché, "Be careful what you wish for." Again anyone unsure if Trump hadn't intervened where this country was heading, only needs to take a few moments to check out Venezuela who had a booming country like America not that long ago until CORRUPT socialist progressive liberals took over. And they did as liberals always do which is drain the country's money and also eliminate the middle class who they hate. They like poor people, people that are totally dependent on them that are powerless to rise up and take their country back. These days Venezuelans are eating rats, pets, and zoo animals just to survive but unfortunately they're still starving. What does that remind you of? How about California?

I mean don't just spout off here, check it out for yourself because it's where this country's heading if liberals get their way spreading their cancerous agenda.

You don't have to support the NRA to support gun rights. That is a strawman,

I support the 2nd Amendment but the NRA is run by a bunch of fanatics now. I like what the kids are doing - go after every politician on the NRA payroll. Let the politicians speak to the will of the people and the Constitution, and not a fanatical special interest group.

Delta's main hub is in Atlanta and they've been getting fuel tax breaks there.

"Georgia lawmakers voted Thursday to do away with a tax break for Delta Air Lines after it joined in a political boycott, severing ties with the NRA."

They lost a $50 million tax exemption.
