Democrats should make gun bans their platform for midterms and 2020...you know, if they can shoehorn it between 'Trump is awful' and 'Republicans are white supremacists'

Nope, as soon as you give in, the bar just gets raised. People that don't know **** about guns don't need to tell us how to protect our rights. We know what we are doing. The only thing you can offer is a path to the confiscation of guns and the loss of American freedom as we know it.

Your bigoted statements only tend to heighten the prevelent feeling that the NRA is losing the battle.

I am a hunter and a gun owner. I cannot see a reason for owning an AR type weapon..other than to intimidate...threaten....and kill.

The more mass shootings...the more the voting population will demand Congress come up with reasonable gun restrictions. The old hard line will die out. I won't see it...but it will happen.

More kids are abducted off the streets than are killed at school. Why don't you worry about that and leave my AR out of it. My AR is a multi purpose rifle. I use it to hunt, to target shoot with friends and keep it to defend my home if necessary.

    Home defense duh.

If it can take out a classroom of kids in 2 seconds imagine what it will do to an intruder in your house.

Funny, seems not too long ago lots of people didn't think Trump had a chance to win the Presidency.

That sounds like a threat of violence. Pretty typical for the alt left.

I don't think it will because:

    a) Any claim based on a polling of a few hundred people is used to suggest what 320+ million think is asinine, and...

    b) The moment "reasonable gun laws" actually get defined in a bill the Democrats go batshit crazy with mass bans and mass registration which is far more likely to resonate with the masses because the FL shooting is already fading into memory whereas the erosion of freedoms lives forever.

Thanks for explaining. I just saw a thumb and an ass sorta put things together from there. Good thing that wasn't a smiley face with that donkey; no telling what I might have come up with.

We already have "reasonable" gun laws.

They are made moot thru non-enforcement, which leads to more shootings, which leads to more gun laws.

That is how this stupid game is played by the left.

    Stop playing the game.

Why not interview the old black lady in Chicago who can't get a gun for home protection?
Why not interview the young lady who has a CCW so she doesn't get raped.....again.

60 Minutes will NEVER do those interviews.

The long term trends are not good for those opposed to gun control perhaps, but they will probably win in the short run

Reasonable differs with the person. To me banning high capacity magazines, requiring a gun training course, allowing the police to take guns more easily from mentally ill/abusive people, and registration of all fire arms are reasonable.

    LOL

Were you aware the GAO did a study at the request of Warren and other like minded 2nd Amendment opponents seeking to prove gun laws are too easily violated? It was posted to NO FANFAIR, in December. Probably ignored because of what the study found.

    https://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-18-24

Tests performed on the Surface Web demonstrated that private sellers GAO contacted on gun forums and other classified ads were unwilling to sell a firearm to an individual who appeared to be prohibited from possessing a firearm. Of the 72 attempts agents made to purchase firearms on the Surface Web, 56 sellers refused to complete a transaction: 29 sellers stated they would not ship a firearm and 27 refused after the disclosure of the undercover identities' stated prohibited status. Furthermore, in 5 of these 72 attempts, the accounts GAO set up were frozen by the websites, which prevented the agents from using the forums and attempting to make a purchase.
