For a long time now I have felt the democrat party is a hate group. Now they claim that a Catholic cant be on the Supreme Court. To me that absolutely qualifies them as a hate group. This just adds to all the hate they spew at the President, conservatives, conservative women, and in fact ANYONE that dont agree with them right down the line.

Yes they have become a hate group.

Christians, conservatives......they would string us from trees if the law allowed.

You saw how they cheered when Griffith showed up with a severed head of Trump, this is what they want to happen.

There are factions within the Democratic party that are hateful/intolerant. The same could be said of the Republican party. I wouldn't classify either of the parties as hate groups though, just those actual parts that are.

But the problem for democrats is the fact that it is so many the their so called leaders that are spewing hate. The paint the whole party of one of hate.

Fair point. The very vocal ones make the party look all the way crazy.

Imagine the outrage if a Jewish politician was questioned about their Talmud, and if they would be loyal to America or Israel

Over 50% of the donations to the Democratic Party comes from a wealthy and powerful transnational group with a historic hatred of Christians. These kinds of patterns manifest themself.

Every Christian should vote straight Republican for every office in every election as if their very lives depend upon it. The Democratic Party and their radically are increasingly getting Christians murdered, harassed and assaulted and would outlaw Christianity if they could pull it off.

It's because they're terrified of a Roe vs Wade reversal.

Even though that's not too likely just because they're Catholic.

A religious test is only ok with democrats if they benefit from it. Same for racism, sexism, etc....

Attacking a candidate isn't the same as the democratic party officially announcing that Catholics should be excluded from the Supreme Court. Its obvious that you have no evidence they said anything like this, so why on earth did you make this up and post this? Surely you should have known that people will start calling you out on your fake news thread.

That is really disproportionate. If people are saying we shouldn't nominate Catholics because they are over-represented and we need more diversity then I understand its really just a call for more diversity not hatred against Catholics. I might even say something similar if over half of the Supreme Court was atheist, or black. But for me personally its the qualifications of the judge that counts the most but I do think it is worthwhile to try to understand why Catholics have been disproportionately nominated and see if that is springing from a problem we need to fix.

The problem is that Amy Barret, the contender in question, is on record as saying that a judge must be guided not only by judicial standards of that office, BUT ALSO BY the dogmatic principles of his or her faith. . . . As five of the SC judges are ALREADY Catholic, pro-life or pro-choice becomes a delicate issue.

Religion is the MOST influential factor in this controversy, as was seen when a Catholic priest on EWTN Catholic network delivered a sermon prior to George W. Bush's reelection implying in no uncertain terms that those voting for John Kerry were risking eternal damnation because of his perspective on this issue. . . . A serious consideration for Catholics that undoubtedly contributed to Bush's victory.

Although I am Protestant, I have a deep respect for Catholicism, the original Christian religion. However, due to our universal belief in freedom of religion, separation of church and state is an important issue. . . . Read post number 22 on this thread.

Nooooooooooooooo . . . because only the radical and hate-filled group -- The Southern Poverty Law Center -- is allowed to designate either an individual or a group as hate-based and have the vast bulk of the leftist-allied MSM take them seriously with no questions asked. I think that was made into a law or something.

The left fears a Catholic with actual principles.
