We know she can't stay conscious for a public State of the Union.

Frightening, don't you think, that someone this old and feeble is trusted with such important decisions?

Or are you OK with her, simply because she is a leftist?

I think she should follow the Republican tactic and let the voter decision based on the elections later this year.

The libs have used the courts for decades to advance their causes because they couldn't win elections.

They politicized the courts. Conservatives now have to play that game, too. Otherwise they go extinct.

I actually didn't realize she is 85, thought she was only 80.

If Trumps wins a second it is definitely a decent possibility that she would pass in the next 6 years. But I guess as long as Dems can get a hold of one house of Congress, they only have to make it another 4 or 5 before they can do the same stalemate thing that the Republicans did in 2016

    Edit---

Actually wait, is it just the Senate right?

You're correct Judges should check their political ideals at the door before they enter into making judgements. Their only referral is to the Law. In the case of the Supreme Court of the United States their decisions should be strictly in adherence to the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the amendments thereof. Judges that legislate from the bench using bias in in their decisions have to be removed from the bench.

And especially if Barrett is nominated to take her place... ???

Meanwhile, Breyer will turn 80 in August.

She's a tough old bird, much tougher physically and mentally than people generally are aware of.

She might surprise everyone by how long she sits. Just sayin'
