De-dollarization is starting to take further shape, as Russia announces that it no longer intends to use the US dollar in trading. This follows their earlier move shedding their US Treasury holdings. The RT article also has the Russian Energy Minister stating that other nations are taking active steps to trade with each other in their local currencies rather than use the US dollar in all international settlements, as has been the case until recently. One hardly needs a crystal ball to see that the reserve status of the dollar will increasingly be in imperilled as more countries seek alternatives to the dollar for their trade. With a growing national debt of $21 trillion and the strategy to use war and uncertainty in the financial markets to cause dollar flows back to the US to underpin this burgeoning debt mountain, the future will become far less certain as the global stock of dollars is forced to contract. https://www.rt.com/business/436727-russia-stop-using-dollar/
Good luck with that, hope they like Uzbekistani So'm. I am sure it will convert well and be stable. Or maybe the Mongolian Togrog. I know I want to receive a bung of Toggrog for my merchandise.
If Donald and Vlad have a deal to remove the US as the world's economic superpower, they're moving on it.
