I think we need a break from the Kavanaugh stuff.

I wondered when this argument would start getting rolled out.

From: There is no such thing as climate change

To: Well its to late. We screwed ourselves so bad we can't do anything about it. Might as well do less now and enjoy life while we still can

    Just mind-blowing sometimes.

There have been lots of predictions over the last few decades regarding global warming/climate change. None of them have happened. Neither will this one.

None of them have ever happened? What?

The hottest decade on record is the last ten years. The hottest quarter century on record is the last quarter century. Several of the hottest years on record occurred in the last 5 years.

There are currently ships making their way directly through the arctic because it has melted enough to allow such.

We have seen record breaking heat waves, wildfires, floods, droughts, hurricanes all in the last several years.

All of those were predictions made by climatologists as it relates to global warming. All have come true.

Even if the trump administration were not led by one of the most greedy and egotistical leader in modern history, he is still 70 years old.

He does not care about the future generations. He cares only for that which affects him personally. And that which affects him personally will only last another couple of decades.

    I'd love to ask...

Were you a fan of our last President of the United States?

I ask in regards to this comment which you made:

I ask you to think carefully before you answer. I might also see a deflection...We will see...

You mean we can't just pour gigatons of crap into the air and oceans and expect everything to be fine? Who knew.

So you're 100% confirming that President Obama 100% cared about future generations?

(Just so you know, you're talking to a Federal Employee...lol)

What does it mean to 100% care about something?

The Trump Administration made a startling assumption?

So now the NHTSA is a source for Climate Science?

The comments from the NHTSA report:

    https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.dot.gov/files/documents/ld_cafe_my2021-26_deis_0.pdf

The CEQ NEPA regulations require agencies to ensure the scientific integrity of the information included in an EIS.1 Given that NHTSA’s primary areas of technical and scientific expertise relate to the agency’s primary mission to reduce deaths and injuries from motor vehicle crashes, NHTSA has neither developed its own evidence nor drawn its own conclusions relating to climate change.

Rather, for its understanding of climate science and analysis of the potential impacts of the alternatives on climate change, NHSTA relies on existing expert panel- and peer-reviewed climate change studies and reports. In particular, this EIS draws primarily on panel‐reviewed synthesis and assessment reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the U.S. Global Change Research Program (GCRP), supplemented with past reports from the U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP), the National Research Council, and the Arctic Council.

Even where assessment reports include consensus conclusions of expert authors, uncertainly still exists, as with all assessments of environmental impacts.

open an incognito mode browser window (inprivate on MS Edge) and open link.

So the justification for the relaxing of the standards is BS?

Apparently the study is based on IPCC projections and numbers. Thought I smelled something fishy here. Trump is merely throwing these numbers back in the face of these idiots saying according to you guys were screwed anyway so our mpg standards don't matter a bit.

Who cares if it’s 7 degrees warmer?

That just means we may start to see Antarctica Free up some land, colder climates get a more moderate , deserts will be deserts, and deciduous Forrest would begin to become more tropical in nature.

That time when the most life that ever existed on this planet was right smack dab in the middle of one of the hottest periods in this planets history.

People by the coast would have to reallocate, but that always happens, because people are dumb enough to live next to a giant body of water that changes depths constantly.

if the prediction does not follow the laws of thermal dynamics then its junk..

to have a temp increase on a LINEAR scale over time you need an exponential increase of energy. And "energy" in this case is the trapping of suns energy with co2. So we would need an exponential increase in CO2 to just maintain the current temperature rise let alone predicting a exponential increase in temp..

Nothing in your quotes is actually in that report.

Its alarmist commentary from your Post article.

Nothing in the report states that the temp is going to go up by 7 degrees.

See, this is what we mean by fake news.

They also never state that a rise of carbon dioxide is disastrous for the environment and society.

Do you think there's an ongoing exponential increase in CO2 levels on Venus?

No, the frauds at WaPo stating the Trump Administration made this claim.

As noted in the study, these numbers came from the usual suspects in the Climate Change world. They were included because the laws related to EIS from Federal Agencies require them to be included.

The TOS here restricts the amount of original content I can post. Thus I provided a direct link for those who care to be informed.

For those trained to bark at Dog Whistles from partners of the New Democratic Party like WaPo, they can just run with the meal WaPo prepared for them.

Don't know the history of venus so not sure what the co2 levels have been doing through the years. But comparing the huge amount of co2, 30,000ppm vs Earth's 400ppm and the temp of both shows how much of a exponential increase in co2 is needed.. and how bad the predictions are..
